Review: I recently bought this little gizmo for my 2 sons for when we go on lengthy car trips. I can't say how much of a god send this thing is. We simply just put in one their favorite cartoons and presto... instant entertainment and a quiet ride. The price is great when compared to some of the other units out there. For starters it came with everything neccessary to set up in the car including a two way splitter for the two sets of headphones provided. My only complaint is when we periodically lose track of the small credit card sized remote, it's kind of hard to find. An excellent buy in my opinion though.

Summary: Great package for the price
Review: I recently bought this portable DVD player and I am greatly satisfied. The picture quality is great except for at the very bottom is a "light shinning up" when tilted a certain way. You can rewind and fast foward up to 32x and fast forward with subtitles up to 4x. On the DVD player it self is a little remote that has the basic functions of play, pause, and skip, though it does not have fast foward or rewind on it. The remote has every function from time search to setting. So far I have been greatly satisfied with the whole thing. Also included with the DVD player are 2 sets of headphones a Y adapter, and more plugins. For $200 it is the best deal around.

For $199 you get the 7" screen, rechargeable battery, remote control, 2 headphones, carrying case (which I think I can rig up for the car), car power adapter, and the cables to hook this up to another TV to watch DVD's! This is perfect for going on vacation, traveling to grandma's, or just watching a DVD on another TV in the house! This picture is great and the sound is just as good. I didn't go through all the features of the remote, but I'm happy as long as it plays easy! Don't waste your time shopping for another, you won't be able to match this for the dollar. I spent a lot of time researching this before buying it. I was going to go with a 5" just because I didn't want to get a lot of money wrapped up in it. You won't be able to match anything close to this price. Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

Summary: LOVED THIS DVD
Review: I want to say we have been researching and doing a lot of looking for about 2 years for a portable dvd, I finally purchased this one, it came with everything that we needed two headphone, bag , car connection, house as well as the cables for the video I guess it may be for like one of the game console if you want to play on it, I have to say I was very impressed I let it charge overnight and the next morning we put it in the car, firt the screen is a good size 7 inches you can watch it from the side without it being dark, the picture is excellent quality very clearand sharp. I loved the headphones we have two children and I didn't want to have to lister to ther movies, we put it in the bag between our seats and it worked great we have a honda crv. it is easy to work the buttons may son is five and was working the controls with ease as well as our four year old. It played through 10 episodes of scooby doo which are 30 minutes long before the battery started to drain,, I thought five hours of straight playing was great I also liked the fact when it did die when I plugged in the car adapter it started right back in the middle of the episode instead of going back to the beginning, I loved that feature, basically I have had it just a few days but we all love and for price it is great, I would highly recommend it people who want something for the money or who is on a budget as we are, it was well worth the money. One thing I did notice it does tend to get warm near the battery but I don't know if that is normal for all portables or not,

Summary: Good At First, Especially for the price but broke
Review: I was initially drawn to this model because of the price. It is very inexpensive relative to other port dvd players out there. However, with low price comes lower quality. This became evident within 2 months of use. It simply died; stopped loading any DVDs. I returned it and got a toshiba, which was a little better (I had to return that model a few times as well). My advice, spend a few more bucks, get the better quality plyer unless you are looking for a disposable player that you are only planning on using for a couple of months.

Summary: Finally something that's worth the money!
Review: I'll keep this short. This player is an unbelievable unit for the money! I usually buy Sony, but at more than twice the price, no way. The picture is wonderful and it is made very well, not like the Initial DVD Player. The colors are true and there are some amazing features that even the Sony or Panasonic don't have! I am amazed at the way this is made, solid as a rock! I am thrilled with this unit and I have a feeling if it is treated well, will last forever. This has tought me that even though I'm used to buying the high end brands. You can get a lot more bang for the buck if you look around. Well done Mintek! Worth more than you're selling it for! If you are looking for a personal DVD Player, this is the one! You won't be sorry!!!

Summary: Clarity and Sound Outstanding
Review: I've just unpack my Mintek. I was a little skepticle at first I was not familiar with this particular brand. So happy I took the chance. The picture is unbelievely sharp. It comes with its own case, 2 headphones as well as other accessories. I can hardly wait to travel with it. Shipping arrived before suggested date. The only bad side is the shipping was to be free, my credit card was billed. I'm sure Amazon will reverse this. I highly recommend this DVD,look forward to doing business with this vender again.

Summary: An excellent value
Review: I've tried two other models of DVD players, all much more expensive. I finally settled on the Mintek. The price to feature ratio is fantastic. The picture quality is good, the extras(good case, extra headphones, all cables and adaptors) go beyond other packages.Its been back and forth with me to europe 3 times without a hitch. At home we use it as a regular DVD player for one of the TVs.

Summary: Finally, a complete package, region-free
Review: Most of these players (along with just about every other electronics device) skimp on cables, adaptors, batteries in order to keep their costs down or to upsell you on accessories. In some cases (USB devices are notoriously bad), you can't even operate the things without buying more stuff, and it ends up adding 10% to 25% to the price. These folks proudly seem to provide everything and then some. Not only are they thoughtful enough to include a Y-adaptor so two headphones can listen in, they actually give you 2 headphones. Also included: car power adaptor, remote control, good carrying case, and it plays burned CDs. The may or may not matter to you, but it is region-free so you can buy + play DVDs from other counties (certain titles aren't available in the U.S. or released later). These devices are going to evolve so quickly that it really doesn't make sense beyond the minimum amount on one. I'm sure the next generation will have things like DVD-R and firewire so you can dump files from your video camera, 40GB hard drives and iTunes software, 3x the battery life, etc.
