Rating: Summary: this is such a cool movie and very scary!!!!! Review: This movie give chills up and down your spine, you will love this threaler and you can see this movie if you can stand the site of blood.
Rating: Summary: SUCKY!!! Review: I must admit it was a good plot. Not scary at all. If all you wanna see are teens talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, see this movie. If ya wanna be scared, see Urban Legend!
Rating: Summary: A quintessential horror movie for the 90s Review: I saw Scream in the theatre- scared the shi* out of me! Predictable sometimes, but nonetheless entertaining. Bloody, too! I wished they had shown actually seen Steve get gutted by the killer, not just his guts pour out. Its funny too, which makes a good movie even better. The twist at the end I would've never expected! Scream 2 was dissapointing, but I hope that Scream 3 is better ( its a 3 movie deal). Dewey is going to be in a wheelchair and be breathing off a respirator in the next one! ITS A SCREAM, BABY!
Rating: Summary: Quite Brilliant Review: Few horror movies of recent mind have captured the essence of suspense. It appeals to a younger crowd in terms of sex appeal and dialogue. I believe it a masterful work in a genre not known for talented actors and directors.
Rating: Summary: This was the funniest horror movie I have ever seen!!! Review: This movie is about a group of teens trying to escape a mass murderer. Many people around the community are killed by these two people who wear a stretched white mask. the killer will surprise you!!!
Rating: Summary: Not even close to being scary! Review: I think, in my humble opinion, that this is one of the worst horror flick I have ever seen. It had no real gore scenes in it, The plot was stupid, and it had a cheesy ending. A typical "teeny bopper" movie. Now the older movies were cool! These new so called horror movies stink up any movie house and all bite! I am not an old man I am only 20 years old. This is by far not the greatest horror film.
Rating: Summary: THE HORROR WITHIN HORRORS Review: A serial killer is out on a quest for rveng
Rating: Summary: One awesome slasher flick! Review: I think Scream instantly falls under the category of classic horror movies. Everything was awesome in this movie: from the telephone calls to the killers costume. Once again Wes Craven has proven himself to be one of the best directors. My favorite part(s) of the movie was when the killer wiped the blood off the knife with his cloak.
Rating: Summary: I would give it no stars if I could Review: First, I was not impressed with this film's referencing other horror films and passing it off as clever. Even more frustrating is the fact that it mainly stole from films that were not that great to begin with. The slasher movies of the Eighties are all but forgotten because they weren't very good. They've dated horribly, just like this will. I have the same problem with this that I have with the films it emulates. I hate trendy, "hip" teenagers, didn't like them when I was a teenager, not amused by them now. Therefore, it's awfully difficult for me to muster any sympathy for these characters or even interest in what happens to them. Scream is a masterpiece of marketing and demographics, not filmmaking. Wes Craven was, is, and will always be, a hack. Last House on the Left caused me a pain that will never go away and Shocker, a film that featured the shadows of the entire film crew in its opening scenes, simply sucked. Scream is no better, possibly worse, because it has an agenda. It places itself above its audience and its influences then looks down on them with contempt thinly disguised as satire. In the 70's Mario Bava made a film called Bay of Blood, a comedy about murder in which a series of loathsome characters were systematically eliminated in increasingly imaginative ways. It flopped and nearly ruined his career.Years later, entire scenes were lifted verbatim in Friday the 13th, only without the humour or art of Bava's film. If you can find that, watch it. It's funny, violent and actively involves the audience in its attractive carnage. In other words, it's what Scream so desperately wants to be, but can't. I feel sorry for teenagers today if this is what they have to watch at Halloween parties.
Rating: Summary: GREAT, SCARY, THE BEST OF WES CRAVEN Review: I thought that this was the best film Wes has done in ages. It was great to be scared shitless by this film. The only way to watch it is in total darkness cuddled to the one you love with a large tub of popcorn. I can't wait to see Scream 2 and I hope wes continues to do the thing he does best for years.
