Summary: Excellent Movie in it's own right!!
Review: Regardless of whether you are an "Evil Dead" fanatic or not, you should see this movie. If you have a warped sense of humor or a wry wit, then you will appreciate this. Very funny. Bruce Campbell is excellent! The laughs just keep coming. Drags a little during the skeleton battle scenes, but not enough to take away from the flick overall. I liked the DVD version, to me it was good quality and the alternative ending is interesting, but after seeing the other several times, it just doesn't work for me......................!!! Long live Bruce Campbell and where has he been?

Review: I myself am a BIG horror movie fan I must have seen hundreds both good and bad,but I must say this would almost definitely put this on nmy top 10 favorite horror movies even though it isn't scary.But sometimes I need a break from the typical horror movie and so when I do need the break this is what I watch.I musdt have seen this movie about 9 times.At first you may not like the plot because it doesn't along with the other two really because it is a change from the past two it has more skelaton type things instead of zombies.But if you liked the past two there is almost a 100% chance you will have no problem getting into this one.But one last warning do not expect to get scared watching this one it is basiclly a dark comedy.

Summary: Great movie, crappy DVD
Review: Well if you are trying to buy AOD on DVD, you probably wanna know more about the features and quailty, not if its a good movie or not. Well, sadly the DVD quality is really bad in some parts, I mean like they took a camcorder into a theatre and bootlegged it. And other parts of the movie are just fine in picture quality. Sound is okay in this version, I wish I had picked up the THX remastered version they had avaible for a short time. As far as the alternate ending goes, I think it's not as good as the theatrical release's ending. So all in all I would wait for a better edition to come out, this one kinda sucks. Doesn't matter though, any real fan of this movie will buy to see Ash use the really effective back-breaker on a skeleton warrior

Summary: A true classic
Review: Army of Darkness is one of those films that can boast that it's main protagonist is entirely unlikeable and obnoxious. For Evil Dead fans who enjoy comedy, it's a total treat and really exists almost strictly for laughs. The same crazy camera style and pacing of Sam Raimi is rampant throughout this film, much like the previous two films of the series. Lets hope for another entry into this cult series!

Review: In this movie, the third in the Evil Dead series, Ash is transported back into the Middle Ages and sent on a quest to retrieve the Necronomicon (Book of the Dead) from an unholy cemetary. On the way, he encounters a bunch of evil mini-Ashs', gets sucked into a book (to return looking kinda like Tim Allen) and a bunch other goofy stuff. This is a funny funny movie.

Summary: THE Ultimate Cheese Film....
Review: Truely one that deserves a place among the cheesiest movies around, Bruce Campbell delivers laughs and action that no one could even compare to. While the storyline is repeated ad-nausem in other responses, I want to explore several scences in the film. The scence where he is thrown into the pit (I think that was a reference to Monty Python) is one scence where it gets rough and funny at the same time. And the camera angles are great!! The scence where he is in the windmill with "little" seleves of him is worth laughs also. Just I can't rememeber where that comes from in reference too.... The Graveyard scence just screams laughter as he continously picks up the wrong book. Oh yeah, the battle scences are worth it, especially how many of the skeletons die and "announce" how they die. (Even the skeletons are funny!!) Watch this movie if you want something to linger with your friends. Trust me, it'll be worth it.

Summary: As for the ending: "It's a trick, get an axe..."
Review: In spite of technical glitches, this version of the DVD really puts the movie together in a new way... well, the original way. The original ending is restored, and is a great lead-in to another sequel. Personally, for those not into the horror genre, this is a great stand-alone movie that may make them hunger for more. While horror purist may shun this movie, the one-liners that fill this movie will keep you laughing so you really shouldn't care! The commentary track really makes this version worth buying, as well as the opportunity to see the ending the way is was meant to be, but I wouldn't trade in the original theatrical release versions yet. The only knock is the occasional poor quality transfers of the scenes. See it. Love it. Groovy.

Review: Not only do I love the movie(s) but Bruce Campbell is one of my favorite actors. The commentary is hilarious and the other extra features are pretty cool too. The Evil Dead movies are the best cult classic horror movies ever.

Summary: Long Live the King...
Review: Sam Raimi ("Darkman," "A Simple Plan") directs and Bruce Campbell ("Xena," "Congo") stars in this incredibly cheesy film- but cheesy in the sense that WOW- that is some great-tasting cheddar there, baby! Campbell is Ash, who rivals Mel Gibson's fantastic Max character for cult popularity. As Campbell plays him, Ash is certainly unhinged; anyone who'd chop off his hand and replace it with a chainsaw isn't exactly sparking on all cylinders. This time out, Ash finds himself transported to a strangely barren medieval England where he battles his own evil dead doppelganger for possession of a magic book that can send him back to his own era... and his job at "S-Mart." Lots of knights versus skeletons mayhem ensues. This is just some popcorn-munchin' entertainment, perfect for getting together with a six-pack of brew and some friends and letting director Sam Raimi and Campbell take you along for the fun. It features some nice effects- they strike the perfect balance between state-of-the-art and gorgonzola, just right for this cheeky film. The script is a hoot, with a lot of B-movie style one-liners perfectly delivered by Campbell. There's even a funny tribute to "The Day the Earth Stood Still." Underappreciated by the public at large, but well-worth your time.
