Review: ....don't let that fool you; it's more comical than scary. Peter Jackson's film doesn't try to be cruel or sadistic -- it's way too campy for that. And yes, the kung fu priest is one of the funniest bits in the movie.If you want to see a truly sick and disturbing flick, rent "Men Behind the Sun."

Review: I find it disturbing that Hollywood will spend millions on a horror movie, and can't even faze a person. Peter Jackson is one of the most inventive film makers out there, can work around a lower budget and has us squirming with disgust. Some people have tried mixing comedy and horror before, and it just doesn't work. Titles like "Nuke 'em High", "Teenage Zombie," among others. Well, I am happy Peter Jackson is here to give us more adultness in humerous horror films, and Peter, if you by chance read this, coming from another media nut and fellow twisted writer, you are SICK!! You are friggen SICK!!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh. Don't get me wrong, I love you for it, but MAN!!!! BTW, get a follow-up to Meet the Feebles going. DAMN!!! You are SICK!!!!!!!!!!! (In a very good way)

Review: Wow, this movie rules. If you liked Evil Dead 1 or 2, or Army of Darkness, you'll love this movie. Great gore-comedy(lawnmower scene, Uncle with butcher knife stand out in my mind). Just make sure you get the unrated version and not the R-rated one. Parents:You may not want your children to see this.

Review: You'll defientily have to agree w/ me that this is one of the best horror flick ever made. I simply loved the plot of this great horror film. It had it all comedy great special effects and of course great gore and great lines like I kick ass for the Lord!!! You've gotta see this probably in the range of top 10 movies ever made way better than any other zombie movie ever made!!! Twice the laughs and very gorey you better watch this movie!!!~ A must buy!!!!!

Review: Now we all know that films like "Night of the Living Dead", and "Dawn of the Dead" and even "Day of the Dead" will be considered the true classics of the Zombie Genre, also considered the best zombie movies availible...but, you must see Dead Alive! You MUST NOT SEE THE "R" RATED VERSION HOWEVER!!! DON"T SEE THE "R" VERSION AT ALL COSTS!!! They edit the whole movie so it is toned down tremendously! It even loses some of its humor, but most importantly, the gore factor gets cut down to half or less! The "Unrated" version is the way to go! Now, about the actual movie...it is very well acted! Some great stuff not usually found in a horror movie! The specail FX are truly outstanding too! (The movie is Freakin violent!). The plot is also different than your typical "The dead have come back, and are now eating everbody in sight...ahhh.). The story takes place in 1953 in Australia, and is actually quite a funny movie! There is also a love story too, but don't worry, it isn't all mushy, lovey, stuff. I was lucky enough to find the UNRATED VERSION at my "Best Buy" store, so i picked it up right away (with THE EVIL DEAD too!). In short, this is one of the best "zombies gone amok" movies ever, if not THE BEST! Once again though, Get The UNRATED Version!

Review: i purchased this peter jackson film along with another of his, Meet the Feebles, about 2 years ago. what can i say? as many reviews on this page suggest, oly view the unrated version. the r-rated version is beyond redemtion. 12 minutes of film are missing from it. what is contained in those 12 minutes? blood, gore nd a killer kung fu priest. rent it. better yet, BUY it
