Summary: It's a Classic!!!
Review: I thought "Carrie" was the best movie i've ever seen in years! I loved Sissy Spacek's performance as Carrie. The story follows the strange life of Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) who takes revenge to her unstable mother (Piper Laurie) and her cruel classmates. My favourite part was at the prom when she made it go on fire.A "must-see" for all those horror fans out there!!!

I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I do!!

Enjoy!!

Summary: A Horror Classic
Review: Carrie is was so well done. Sissy Specek was born for this role. It brings out the evil you. You actually will cheer during the prom scene where she gets her revenge.

Summary: Still Not in Widescreen
Review: The 1 star is not for the movie. I love the movie. It is for this incomplete DVD presentation. If the film is only 1:85:1 why do are the opening credits cut off on both sides of the screen. Carrie was shot in classic Brian DePalma widescreen, and we still can't see it. Why? The Criterion Laser Disc jipped us and now this? What's with the conspiracy to keep DePalma's true vision from us? I just don't get. it.

Summary: Carrie really slays'em
Review: There's nothing very sinister or scary about this movie but it's searing portrayals of human animals and what they're capable of doing is brilliant. this is really a character study with a scattering doses of fantasy. piper laurie, as the lunatic mother of carrie white, should definitely have won the Oscar for best supporting actress just as Sissy Spacek should have been the best actress winner. i shudder to think that now that carrie II has been released and received only fair criticism, the floodgates will open and we'll soon have to suffer through increasingly inferior rip-offs like carrie III, carrie IV and so on until its drained dry. the beautiful musical score by pino dognacio is worth buying and listening to.

Summary: Carrie is by far the best horror movie I have ever seen
Review: I read the other reviews and have to say a few things: 1. Sissy Spacek could NOT have been prettier, Carrie was supposed to be ugly -- she looked good in the end anyway. 2. The people at the prom didn't actually laugh at her. It was all in her head thanks to Mommy. 3. Guys like that looked good in the '70s -- get over it. Ok that's all, felt like complaining. Great movie, one of my favorites.

Summary: This was a SCARY chiller that will make you scream for help.
Review: Stephens Kings master thriller is on video. Sissy Spacek stars as Carrie. Carrie is a girl terrorized by her class mates. She uses her evil powers to get revenge on her classmates. She later uses her horrific powers to create a living nightmare.

Summary: An okay adaptation.
Review: Everybody is entitled to their opinions, but some opinions are only worth keeping to yourself. I'm sure I can't be the only person to be infuriated by the last reviewer's judge-and-jury views on people who commit suicide. Go through what some of the people I know have gone through, mate, and then we'll talk about 'being weak'.

This film is an adaptation of Stephen King's novel which concerns a bullied teenager with an insanely religious mother. When Carrie comes of age her so-far unrealised telekinetic powers are unleashed onto her sadistic classmates. Though this film has its moments, it's not really as terrifying as it could have been.

Summary: SCARY SCARY CARRIE
Review: This movie is too freaky for words. I'd say horror at its best just don't let your kids get any ideas. It even has a little John Travolta, which makes any movie better.

Summary: It was cool except......
Review: It was cool except in the end Carrie killed herself by taking her house down with her and her sick and demented mother. She definitly shouldn't have done that. That's being weak.People that commit suicide are weak. And I would've changed the movie just a little bit.I would've make it so the guy she went with to the prom was better looking and that people didn't laugh at her at the prom.People are not going to laugh at someone who gets pig blood dumped on them.No one at the prom would do that. They would be confused, sure;but they wouldn't laugh. And that gym teacher (i think her name mrs.white)was laughing at her, too. That's so unrealistic!

Summary: BELIEVEABLE STORY? MAYBE IN TORONTO!!!
Review: This is an alright horror flick, it's not great, but it's alright. However, the story is borderline ridiculous. As far as being believeable, as my fellow Canadian has aserted, it's not. The direction is exceptional and that alone is what makes this a great horror film. PS: the film could benefited from a prettier actress in the title role.
