Review: Blade was everything "From Dusk till Dawn" wasn't. A very "hip" movie. I have yet to see a "vampire" movie that entertained me as much as "Blade" did. The DVD transfer is first rate! Totally cool extras make this one a keeper!!!

Summary: Snipes truley shows what he is made of.
Review: Well, well. I was very impressed with this film. Snipes is pretty well known as a good actor in films like Mo' Better Blues and New Jack City. A decent comedy actor in Money Train. And a pretty kewl action actor featuring in Red Sun and Passenger 57, but in the movie Blade he shows his amazing martial arts skills. I agree with some of the acting was not so good, but sometimes you don't always need that to make a blockbucter film. Some films has fantastic acting, yet still sucked in other areas. Anyways, Norrington and Snipes does such a great job that even Steven Dorff look good. I recommend movie for all martial arts, comic, and action lovers. If you're looking for just acting skills then don't bother. Some people don't know how to rate a film with characteristics other that acting and plot. Not to say it didn't have a plot. It will just take more critical people more time to figure it out. Enjoy.

Review: Blade has to be labeled as one of the best vampire movies of all-time. In my opinion, the movie was very solid (plot-wise) from the beginning to the end. The only lame part had to do with the vampires using sunblock to prevent themselves from melting in daylight. With regards to the acting, nobody could have put on a better performance than Wesley Snipes. The fighting sequences in this movie were outstanding. I would go as far as to say that it was Bruce-Lee caliber fighting! In addition, if anybody were going to breakthrough from this movie, it would have to be Stephen Dorff. His acting in this movie should win him over as the next Gary Oldman for villain roles. I would recommend buying this DVD because you would be getting more than your money's worth. Aside from the movie, the DVD is filled with excellent features, production notes, artwork, etc. Know your role, and buy this DVD!

Review: Blade is the best in the genre. Snipes does justice as the Daywalker. The special effects & martial arts are awesome. Kris K.looks kool with his long hair and Snipes has never been sexier. When will Blade be back??

Review: "Blade" is an entertaining film. It's one of those movies that I take guilty pleasure in liking. But it could have been just as entertaining without the graphic excess. In my worthless opinion, true thrills, chills and scares aren't judged on the amount of gore and blood. Okay, okay the action sequences and special effects were mighty impressive, I'll give it that. And fighting vampires probably really is a messy business. But that opening scene with the sprinkler system dance party was just outright tasteless. I did like the relationship between Snipes and Kristofferson however.
