Summary: Not what I expected, yet still really good
Review: i bought this movie new for a dollar and 80 cents expecting something that isnt much more than a movie about a looney bin and the looneys in it. if you want that kind of movie, check out jack nicholson in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. this movie was more of a psychological thriller. it had a cross between The Shining and Session 9. the story starts out with some images which you dont know exactly what theyre about until the end. then we go to the narrorating(i know i spelt that wrong) scene in the session room of a psychiatric hospital with a mad doctor, which has been locked away for 20 years. the psychiatrists interview him, asking about a drug called B3-90. he tells the story of how he went "insane" because of the drugs release. let me just stop the story right here and say that this film looked like a home video---seriously. it reminded me of the local television station where i live. but that just makes it more amature; i like amature. the story is first a really interesting(yet slow to some) plot of a new medicine and the doctors which are testing it with patients. as much as i would love to tell you exactly what happens, i wont. all i can say to influence you to buy this is that it never leaves the institution(not that i can remember), the crazies are believable, it keeps you into the movie and wont allow you to daydream about it, it gets twisted after a while in the snse that ghost-like stuff starts to happen and people are killed, and the end is almost cheesy yet still reveals what all of this so-far confusing movie is about. as much as i would like a movie thats practically a documentary on a particular institution and the psychos in it, this is not that movie. none-the-less, its a great mystery/horror film about a mysterious medication and the insanity it sturs up in the sane people. rent it first; you may hate, or you may love it. but if you like psychological thrillers with the setting of the movie in a mental hospital, check this one out. and by the way, the musical score really helps it out. i think the main theme they play several times is that of the King/Romero classic Creepshow. okay, ill shutup now.

Summary: A movie for those who like twisted plots
Review: This is one of those movies you love or you hate!
I think this movie is based in a PC game by the same name and somehow modified the plot, in an exelent way!
What would you expect from a movie with a name such as "SANITARIUM"? Disturbing things, twisted plot and madness... Well, this movie has it all.
The production is not that great, but the story is excelent. Maybe a little unbelievable, but it is a movie after all, not a documental, besides, it does its job, keep you guessing what's going on all the time!!!
