Summary: Horrific, all too horrific.
Review: The title really says it all. I couldn't even make it through this movie. DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE! This would have to go on my all-time greatest mistakes list. Any movie where the guy is spanking the monkey and the monkey breaks off (yes, I did say that.) is not worth owning or even seeing.

Summary: An Introspective Look at the Life of a Zombie.
Review: This is an interesting and original take on zombie flicks. The story is told from the perspective of a person who is slowly turning into a zombie... the thoughts and degenerative process that happens when turning into a zombie are especially interesting to this reviewer. I give it high marks for its gusto and orginality. It is obviously low production... like a film school film... but I believe it exceeds the expectations of such films. Good work!!

Summary: The most horrible zombie flim I hav ever seen1
Review: This movie just s**ks! It has no plot no good effects and really bad dialogue. To put it in dummy terms never ever buy this movie even if it only is a penny. I don't even think the guy in the movie is a zombie. The movie should have been called "HOW I BECAME A ZOMBIE" because it has no other zombies in it and it is a documentary on a man turning into a zombie.

Summary: I, Idiot For Renting This Movie
Review: What was I thinking? I guess I saw the FANGO name (I've subscribed since 1986) and got all excited. Not that I thought it seemed that thrilling when I read about it in last months's Fango. THe plot is really simple, a guy who is a scientist of some sort is bitten by a zombie while he is out in the woods. When he realizes (pretty quickly) what has happened to him and that he must eat human flesh to avoid going into horrible convulsions and falling apart, he calmly leaves his girlfriend and starts a 'new life' (no pun intended) in a new flat in a new part of town, sort of monitoring himself and keeping a diary as he slowly starts to fall apart, mentally and literally. That's pretty much it, plot-wise. I give the 2 stars to this film for a couple of things--first, the courage to make a totally depressing movie without one iota of cheerfullness or hope. Also, no lame attempts at humor (since this isn't an American movie, probably, they rose above it) such as if the lead were to say to a victim, "sure, I'd love to have you for DINNER, har har" a la Freddy Kreuger, etc. The acting is fairly good, though I spent the first half of the movie trying to figure out who the hero reminded me of, looks-wise (finally realized it was Edward Norton). Also, they did a pretty good job on effects, considering that they seemed to have a low budget. Unfortunately, it was just pretty boring and depressing. Not that I expected it to be cheerful, but this was extra depressing, even for a zombie/horror film. No real conflict, the hero doesn't have any trouble finding victims or disposing of them. He does feel sad for the girlfriend he had to abandon, and I'm always a romantic sucker for any scene where a lonely guy hires a hooker and ends up paying her to "just hold him". I guess I would have liked this movie if it had a little more of a plot, or conflict, or something unpredictable happened, but the whole movie I kept saying to myself, "well, guess what happens now". I also wondered why the hero just seemed to take big bites mainly out of people's faces, and sometimes ribcages, instead of where there was more meat or organs or whatever. Also, why didn't he scare the crap out of people (even at night) when he was walking around in public after parts of his face started falling off? The hooker didn't even say, "so, is there something wrong with your skin?" I can tell they tried, but really not worth seeing. Just a bummer (and not in a good way). There's a ton of better zombie movies (and downbeat movies) you can watch instead.

Summary: A MASTERPIECE OF LOW BUDGET FILM MAKING
Review: While carrying out field research for his PHD, Mark is bitten on the neck by a woman he finds lying ill in a delapidated farmhouse. the bite causes Mark to contract a virus which decomposes his body and forces him to eat human flesh.

This is not really a zombie movie in the traditional sense. The zombie is not a walking corpse like those in the Romero or Fulci films, rather he is a living person whose body is decaying and who must eat human flesh in order to stop the agony that the virus causes him.

The story is told from the point of veiw of Mark and instead of being portrayed as a monster, he is seen as a lonely, pityful character that demands the sympathy of the viewer.

All in all an excellent independent horror film with a difference that will have many people reaching for the sick bucket.
