Summary: Eric Mabius at his best (so far)
Review: This movie is just simply the best! The acting was great, the plot realistic, and Eric Mabius was hot! Eric's portrayal of Shane Carver just blew me away! He portrayed every aspect of Shane well and he made me feel sympathy for him. I urge people to check out this movie just to see Eric in a major role, were he deserves to be. There is a lot of drug use and violence in this movie, so if you don't want to see either I suggest you don't rent this movie. You probably won't like it. There are two or three somewhat brutal scenes and most of what the BCB does is in relation to how much drugs they have done or how much they need. If you were okay watching Blade or the camp-fire feeding scene of the Lost Boys then you won't think this is so bad.

Review: this movie is so good i can't even find it anywhere. if you come across a copy of this buy it. it is reminissant of american history x, or slc punk in the fact that it is mostly about teen-aged boys comming of age. while the first two movies were aimed at a pirticualy sceen, this will hit home for the rest of us. drugs are bad!! :)

Summary: Black Circle Boys- True to life Black Circle
Review: This movie is very similar to my life. I love Black Metal music and although this movie doesn't contain any, its characters are very similar to the people i hang out with every weekend (at a firepit in some woods ironicly). Its funny how i know someone who could fill the place of each character in this movie. I would also like to add that there is never going to far into satanism and evil..its a continous cycle and it doesn't always lead to the death of friends.

Review: This movie was good up until the end. It left me saying... "eh? That's the end?!?" And might I add Mr. Wahlberg (and I don't mean "Boogie Nights" Wahlberg...I mean "please don't go girl" Wahlberg) was simply delightful... he didn't make a great goth guy, but he was delightful.

Summary: Still searching for a real ending
Review: This was a great movie right up until the end. It portrays what some teens will go to, to find acceptance these days and does a good job of it, probably a little over exaggerated but its a movie. This isn't a Goth movie and wasn't ment to be, it has some elements of Satanism to it. However to complain that there is too much metal on the soundtrack and not enough Goth is ridiculous because thats the main point of the movie, to make a Metal Band, so if you're only wanting Goth don't rent/buy this movie. I would suggest to anyone however to rent this movie before you buy it.

Summary: A Beautifully Rendered Movie
Review: Well, let's see it this way. I've seen many negative views on this movie, but all I have are extremely beautiful words to say about it.First of all, I must say that I am a pretty hardcore fan of Eric Mabius. I've been snatching up each and every single movie I can find with him in it. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen in my entire life. Mabius portrays a guy named Shane Carver, who borders a bit on the obsessed fanatic. We see, ever since we meet him, that he is extremely obsessed with 'pleasing the Father'. Every move he makes radiates power, and it is just amazing. I'm not going to say more on the actors, because my main focus, after all, was on Mabius. I will say this, though: the acting was so realistic that I could actually imagine this happening. I got so into the movie that one time I actually believed someone was videotaping the escapades of the Black Circle Boys. While I found this movie highly amusing at some points, and rather dramatic at others, I'll still say this. The drug use, explicit language, and the violence is rather extreme at some points. Not exactly recommended for many of the younger audience. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a good movie, here it is. This one will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Summary: A Sundance Triumph
Review: Well, this movie has quickly become one of the favorites and most recommended titles in my library (I own it on VHS and DVD). First off, the acting is superb! Eric Mabius' portrayal of the gothic Shane Carver is very believable and well done. It was a surprise to me that this movie had not made a bigger impact in the movie scene. Although movies such as 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' and 'Scream' are hailed as great horror movies, they PALE in comparison with 'The Black Circle Boys'. This movie discards the teen-idol-littered plots and instead builds on a strong and realistic story. Fans of the gothic subculture will especially enjoy this movie due to its theme and imagery. But if youre looking for a no nonsense movie and a time well spent, then I must advise you to buy this title...especially since amazon.com is the only place I have found that sells this title on DVD.
