Rating: Summary: Waiting Anxiously For The DVD... Review: I just love this movie. Casey, played by the adorable Nathan Winters, is a timid young boy. Casey's personal nightmare begins, when a group of violent, murderous clowns show up at his home one night. Hope this one eventually makes it to DVD.
Rating: Summary: Not At All Real Review: I mean, for some people, they think a killer dressed up as a clown could just never happen. I'm pretty that the sick and twisted mind of a killer will do that. But it was kindo f boring, you know, a bit of a yawn. But it wasn't too bad.
Rating: Summary: A classic 80's horror flick! Review: I really liked this film. A little piece of cheesy horror flick nostalgia that's well worth the price and worthy of being an Amazon.com Exclusive.
Rating: Summary: Another Reason to Be Afraid of Clowns Review: I really related to this movie in one main way, the fear of clowns. Why, to me, is there so much fear of clowns? The same reason the little guy in this movie gave, or the reason the movie gave. You always see the outer shell of a clown: the costume, the paint, the brightly colored wig. But you never see what's on the inside. In Clownhouse's case, it was three psycho lunatics that escaped from a mental ward and managed to kill three clowns from a town circus. They then take the costumes, and face paint and apply it to theirselves. Meanwhile, three brothers are at the circus, and the youngest has a great fear of clowns. The brothers leave the circus, thinking everything is great, but the mental patients follow them home. This movie used the usual horror methods. Like the killer following closely behind it's victim without the victim knowing it. Although this has been used many times, it was cleverly pulled off here, and made for some tense and creepy moments. Another method used was the silent killer type. This could be creepy in any other movie, but try looking at a painted on smiling face who's expression never changes, and sound never escapes it's mouth. People with great of fear of clowns will relate to this movie, but those who don't have a fear, will enjoy it non-the-least.
Rating: Summary: Clownhouse Will Scare You If You HATE Clowns Review: I remember the first time I saw this movie I was about 10 years old. I have been looking for it for ages. (Video stores don't carry it because of the director being a child molestor I think) I really hate clowns and the idea that three psychopaths could dress up as clowns and follow you home and try to kill you gave me nightmares after I saw it! Great movie! Can't wait to watch it this Halloween! It will be the first time I have seen it in 15 years and I know it will scare me all over again!
Rating: Summary: clowns-r-us Review: i saw this movie many years ago and it enthralled me. I have always been terrified of clowns and this movie made my fear escalate. I love the characters and Victor Salva does a great job in the director's chair. His recent movies(Jeepers Creepers,Powder) have not frightened me nearly as much and is not nearly as good as this. The great thing about this movie is that it scared the hell out of me, and I never used to get scared of any movie. The settings are great, and the film scares you without all the unneccesary gore. They need more hooror movies like this these days. A true underground horror classic. WATCH IT.

Rating: Summary: This creepy clown movie stayed with me for days... Review: I stumbled upon this movie while looking for some old classic favorites like, "Last House on the Left" and "I Spit on Your Grave." It was the customer reviews that led me to purchase the movie and I wasn't disappointed. I have to admit that I was disturbed at what I'd read about the director and his crimes against the young actor, however, I tried to get past that and tried to focus on the film itself. The movie opens up with a very creepy scene outside the house of the main character, Casey. It startled me, to say the least, as it shows a body swinging from a noose attached to a tree. The story is about a young boy who is petrified of clowns and it just so happens that the circus is in town. His older brother (actor Sam Rockwell-villian from Charlie's Angels the movie and The Green Mile) teases him and bullies him into going. I won't give too much away but the young brother's fear of clowns is justified in the end. What I really found eerie about this film was the music throughout. To me, it's the background music that can make or break a good horror film and in this case it totally made it! I watched this movie alone, upstairs in my bedroom, while my husband was downstairs watching sports (not an avid horror fan such as myself) and I found myself running to the bed to get under the covers after I put the dvd in the machine. I knew the creepy music would be coming on and it gave me the chills. I have to say that I am not easily scared or creeped out. I've been watching horror movies with my sister since I was about 10 years old. This movie definitely made an impression on me and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since I watched it! I don't think any real horror buff will be disappointed by this one.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Scary Clown Movie Review: I thought the movie was great,...I highly suggest if you haven't seen Clownhouse and if you have the chance to ever see it again than watch it, It's awesomely scary!
Rating: Summary: WTF????? Review: i was going to buy this movie, until i read some of the reviews. the fact that salvo molested the 12-year old in this movie is horrifying. the further fact that, after this "indiscretion" for lack of a better word, the film starts to reflect this act....as one reviewer put it, he/she wasn't sure if he/she was watching a horror movie or a kiddie porn, is horrifying. but the fact that all these reviews highlight the sickness that is apparent in the movie, and STILL recommend it for purchase just chills me to the bone. what are you people thinking??? are you trying to say that, even though molestation did occur, it's still ok for the director to profit from it??? that, despite the creepy vibe many of you picked up on, the movie is STILL worth watching???? how sick are you people, anyway???
