Summary: schwat
Review: This is one of the sweeter Stephen King adaptions,I mustsay.Kathy Bates didn't win Best Actress in '90 for nothing!Thechemistry between her and Caan is just awesome, and is beatifully set off, while not overshadowed by Rob Reiner's tense direction.he refuses to let the suspense up for a solitary minute, making this join THE SHINING for best big screen adaption of the Master of Macabre. No matter how many times ya see this, the scene inwhich Annie 'hoobbles' Paul, cracking his ankles with a sledgehammer when they're already broken, just makes your gut lurch!Classic suspense pic, w/ perfect comedic relief by town sheriff Buster.Check this out, but have a change of drawls next to the JiffyPop!

Review: The portrayal of the toil that this fellow goes through, and the mental outbursts of the woman are better than in the book. A good movie to watch.

Summary: Misery
Review: This is a great movie. It kept me right on the end of my seat. It had a wonderful mix of suspense and thriller. Kathy Bates definitely deserved the recognition that she did. She really made you think that she was indeed a psychotic nurse in real life. James Caan did a great job acting out what it really would feel like if you broke your legs. I think that he also should have recieved an award for that role. This was a great movie, almost as good as the book. You should go out and buy this movie and read the book, but read the book first before the movie.

Summary: Absolutely brilliant
Review: What can I say about Misery that hasn't been said already? This is one of the greatest horror\suspense films ever made. Kathy Bates as Annie Wilkes is flawless in the part. No one else could have done justice to it quite like she did. James Caan is perfectly cast as Paul Sheldon, the famous writer she is obsessed with.

At first, Annie seems a benevelent sort, sweet as apple pie and overly cutsie. But soon enough we realize that things are not quite as they seems when Annie starts to show us a....different side of her. Bone-chilling doesn't even begin to describe this movie. Buy it today!

Summary: Pretty cool!
Review: Misery is one of those movies that is based on a novel, and, because of this, never really measure "up", partially, because the viewer has already read the book (or, at least that was the scenario in my case) and is expecting a motion-picture version of the book. Like Stanley Kubrick's version of the Stephen King novel, "The Shining", Misery is a good movie but the general "feel" of it, is that it wasn't created with the book in mind. The characters don't have the same "feel" as the written characters in this movie, but some aspects of the film are actually better.

For instance, Kathy Bates performance as the estranged fan of #1 Bestselling novelist, Paul Sheldon, was absolutely stunning. Never have I been so attracted, and repulsed, by the same character. The "split-personality" aspect of her character is spookily realistic, as anyone who has studied various mental illnesses will know. In fact, her deranged-one-moment, sweet-as-pie-the-next personality is definately the scariest thing in the movie, and not so much the atrocities she commits.

James Caan does an excellent job of not only portraying a wounded man, but also of portraying a man living under brutally truamatic conditions. (Note: the anticlimax of this movie was great, too. "Paul" seemed genuinely affected by craziness he had been put through)

If you are looking for a good way to spend a sluggish evening, you might want to consider seeing "Misery". Considering the story-line, the "blood and injuries" aspect of the film is definately not overdone. I enjoyed that... it was refreshing, the lack of constant blood, the slowly building suspense... You won't be bored, that's for sure.

Summary: A little something different than hero worship
Review: Caan is a brilliant writer who has an accident on a slippery road (Hi, Pet Sematary) and Bates comes to his aid. As she nurses him back to health, she brutally critiques his latest works and he soon discovers that she has kidnapped him with no intention of releasing him... alive. Excellently remarkable performance by Bates gives the term "psycho" a new face and scares the viewer into painless convulsions without impressive special effects or a stupidly thawed level-headedness. Caan is just aching to be victimized anyway.

Summary: "Misery"
Review: I read this book version of Misery. I have to admit that even though I thought that the book boring at places, it did get a lot better. That's sort of how the movie was but A LOT less boring. There was really only about 5 minutes total of the whole movie that was boring. Kathy Bates did an outstandingly excellent job as the psycho/nurse/#1 fan. James Caan though I didn't think was as well, but he was good. I thought that there was the perfect amount of blood and violence in the movie. This is definitely a must see and you should definitely read the book.

Summary: WOW, WHAT A MOVIE
Review: Kathy Bates gives an award winning performance in this tale of a nurse gone psycho in this chilling Stephen King movie Mysery. It is truely some of his best work. And for anyone who is a fan of his or anyone who loves a good chilling movie , than this is diffenately for you.
