Summary: Video X is a rip off
Review: The description of the video made me to believe it the actual raw footage of a crimal spree, which got me interested in the first place. I was really disappointed to find out it was a wanna be "Blair Witch Project" with a lot bad acting. I wish I could sue the maker for misleading us to believe this stuff was real. I'd rather watch "The Bachelor" for reality entertaiment.

Summary: Blair Witch wannabe...without the fine acting.
Review: The two five-star reviews have to be from someone directly involved with this movie (perhaps the two "co-stars"?) because by no stretch of anyone's imagination does this come close to five stars. Only reason I gave it one was there was no option for zero stars.

Blair Witch was at least an original concept.

There's more "real life" drama in an episode of Jerry Springer. Or if it's true crime stories you're after, watch an episode of COPS.

Review: This moveir is hot. If you like Cinema Verite this is a must see film. Really intense. Great performances by the two leads.

Summary: Horrible Rip Off
Review: Very disappointing to have a cover claim to be soemthing then it turns out to be flat lies. Lousy film & lousy ethics.

Summary: The Blair Hick Project X
Review: When Vanguard puts out a movie, it's usually going to be a little on the taboo side to begin with, but this was just plain pathetic. I've heard some reviewers mention Jerry Springer, COPS, Blair Witch, and Natural Born Killers; however one major comparison that I felt it would be best associated with is MAD TV (or SNL, if they went back to being more sadistic).

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a FUNNY MAD TV skit...more like one of the ones that just kind of keep going without any punchline until it's time for commercial. Except this boring skit is a full movie-length chock full of cursing, whining, crying, complaining, and MAJOR arguing. If the characters were at least believable, I may have wanted to sit through their constant bickering.

I'm a big fan of the old Faces of Death tapes, knowing full and well that some of it was faked, but FOD had a real feel to it that would make you actually think it was real, and make you a bit uneasy at times. Video X was so lame and boring I could hardly pay attention, and the fact it was actually LABELED as "real", I feel it was unlawfully marketed to us as well (as another viewer pointed out). Blair Witch doesn't CLAIM to be "real", that was just word-of-mouth silliness. This movie states on the package that it's actual footage, with NO mention of anything otherwise.

I knew it was fake from the first 3 minutes..after all, no one THAT stupid would know how to use a brand new DV-cam :) Maybe if they didn't STEAL the camera it would have made the movie a bit more realistic. No battery charger or spare tapes? c'mon...
