Summary: Worst in the series.
Review: This one had alot of blood and was a good gore film. But like the otherWishmasters lacks in the scare department. Other than that this is a pretty good ffamily film. Anyone who thinks this and the other Wishmasters was scary need to be examined. Try real horror like the Exorcist, Pet Sematary, Salem's Lot, Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Friday the 13th, or A Nightmare on Elm Street for real scares.

Review: This sequel is in my opinion a little bit better then the previous one due to the lack of gore and blood that filled the screen until you just could`nt take it any more, dont get me wrong i liked the first one but it kind of felt like the plot all through the movie was based on blood but Wishmaster 2 had more well scripted deathcounts the plot was basicly a lot better although Wes Craven was`nt involved among with a numerous set of actors for example Robert Englund, Kane Hodder and Tammy Laurenbut Wishmaster 2 took the lead in my opinion anyway.

Summary: A new horror movie legend.
Review: This special two pack DVD features both Wishmaster and Wishmaster 2 : Evil Never Dies . First let's talk about Wishmaster . It's a great horror film with a cool premise and great Special Effects . The Highlight is actor Andrew Divoff who plays the evil Djin in this movie . He gives a deliciously evil perfomance . Also notworthy are cameo appearances by horro movie Icons Robert Englund , Angus Scrimm , Kane Hodder and Tony Todd . In Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies Andrew Divoff reprises his role and he does well once again but the movie suffers from a low budget , the special effects are cheap and unimpressive . Not a good sequel overall .

Summary: BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL AND IS STILL THE BEST OF THE SERIES
Review: THIS TIME, THE DJINN [ANDREW DIVOFF] IS FREED DURING A FAILED MUSEUM HEIST. HOWEVER, THE DJINN GETS CAUGHT BY THE POLICE IN THE MUSEUM AND IS SENT TO JAIL. BUT, HE ESCAPES AND HE'S PLOTTING WORLD DOMINATION AND IT'S UP TO THE GIRL TO STOP HIM. THIS IS ACTUALLY MORE ENTERTAINING THAN THE ORIGINAL. IT HAS A BETTER PLOT, BETTER MURDERS, AND BETTER CHARCTERS. THIS IS STILL THE BEST OF THE SERIES. SERIOUSLY, THE NEXT TWO SEQUELS THAT CAME JUST COMPLETELY RUINED THE SERIES.

Review: This was a great B-horror flick. One of the best I've sseen in awhile. Holly Fields did a great job (and she is soooo hot!) and the Wishmaster was as evilas ever. Two thumbs up!

Review: Very entertaining and well acted. Yes, the first one was a little better, but this one is worth seeing. I think Wes Craven should have put his name on this one, as opposed to the recent Carnival of Souls. If you've seen that, you'll agree!!

Summary: "Better than the first one..."
Review: When I saw the first Wishmaster film, I was entertained, and I must say that it was a pretty clever film. However, I was much happier with this one than the first, because for one thing, the Djinn doesn't so much look like something you might see in Power Rangers, his structure is different and his voice has changed just slightly. The only thing I really still don't like about the Djinn is that he's sort of small, he's like 6 feet tall, while John Novak, the actor who plays the Djinn much better than Andrew Divoff who plays him in the first two, is like 6'2" or 6'3", or he could be smaller, all I know is that he's bigger than Divoff, and better at portraying the Djinn's sly and very sinister personality. But enough about that, Andrew Divoff still does a very good job, and I don't want to get fans down by repeatedly describing how John Novak is better at portraying the Djinn. So, once again, Divoff still does a very good job, I mean, hey, he played the Djinn first. The storyline follows Morgana, who robs a museum with her boyfriend and discovers the gemstone which holds the Djinn in eternal bondage until awakened, and...heheh...unwillingly and unknowingly releases the Djinn, who appears in the funkiest way I have ever seen. Just as the cops arrive after Morgana has left and her boyfriend has already made his wish which resulted in his doom, the Djinn once again takes the form of Nethaniel Demerast, and takes the fall for the robbery, and lands himself in prison, where he grants the wishes of many of the inmates, and later escapes with the help of an Italian inmate. Meanwhile, Morgana is hearing the voice of the Djinn, telling her to "Fulfill the prophecy." This direct-to-video sequel to Wishmaster was actually very good, and this one was actually the last one I saw, I saw Wishmaster, and then Wishmaster 3 and Wishmaster: The Prophecy Fulfilled. After those, I saw this one, thinking that the Djinn would look the same as he did in the first movie, but oddly enough, he didn't! He looked the same as in #3 and #4, except Andrew Divoff was still the man behind the makeup. One scene that really startled me was when Morgana was taking a shower and all of a sudden the Djinn appears and presses his face against the clear plastic shower curtain, but in a second we find out that Morgana was just hallucinating. The reason this movie got four stars was because of the cheaply-animated locusts flying around in the casino. You'd think that a film released only four years ago would have a higher CGI budget than, what, $30? They could have done a lot better with that, and that's what took a star of my rating, otherwise I would have given this a 4.5 or maybe 5. This is the second best next to The Prophecy Fulfilled, and I recommend it (in addition to the orginal) to any horror, gore, or horror/gore fan. Thanks for reading!

Review: When Wishmaster came to video a few years ago, I automatically deemed it as a B-movie and refused to buy or rent it. If I would have seen this movie when it first released I no doubt would've hated it, but now I tend to treat B-movies with a bit more appreciation. Because they really are entertaining! When I saw Wishmaster for the first time the other day, I loved it. And after seeing the sequel Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies along with it, I am now a Wishmaster fanatic. Wishmaster: Don't expect this movie to be too much and you just might enjoy it. Like I said above its your basic pure 90's B-movie, so just because it has Wes Craven's name on it, dont expect it to be as great as A Nightmare on Elm Street. The movie is about a Genie that inhabits a red opal. Who ever wakes up the Genie, called Djinn (pronounced "Gin") in the movie, the genie must grant that person three wishes. Upon the granting of the third wish the Djinn's armies shall reign on Earth. The only problem is in Wishmaster the person who wakes up the Djinn leaves before meeting him, and Djinn spends the rest of the movie trying to find the person, but also granting a few wicked wishes along the way. Eventhough this film has such horror-actor greats as Tony Todd (Candyman, Night of the Living Dead '90), Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger), and Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees) the acting is pretty lousy through out, except by the three greats I mentioned and Andrew Divoff as the Djinn. For all of the bad acting in this movie, Wishmaster makes up for this with all of its excellent special effects. It should make sense that this film would sink in acting and excel in special effects being that it was directed by Robert Kurtzman, a man most notable for special make-up effects than directing; Wishmaster being only the second movie he directed. Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies: This movie should instead be called "Wishmaster 2: Wishmaster goes to Prison", because most of the movie shows the Djinn in prison. The movie starts where Wishmaster left off, and we see several black-clothed figures breaking into and robbing an antique warehouse. The police show up and hell breaks lose. While running away one of the thieves stumbles upon the red opal containing the Djinn. Of course, much like the first movie, the woman (Holly Fields) leaves the crime scene along with her dying boyfriend, but not before waking the Djinn. The cops find the Djinn, in human form, inside the warehouse and arrest him. He confesses to the robbery eventhough he had nothing to do with it. Instead of following his waker like in the first Wishmaster the Djinn instead spends most of the movie in prison, and lets his waker come to him. This story of him being in prison, in human form, may sound stupid but its actually quite funny. Not campy funny, not so funny that it will take away the shocks of the rest of the film. Its humorous watching the Djinn walking around in prison clothes with a grin on his face, and waiting to see who's going to be the next unlucky guy to pick a fight with him. Like the first movie, there's lots of wicked wishes. My favourite is when an inmate figuratively says that he would love to watch his lawyer "do something" to himself. I think you get the picture of what happens next. In contrast to the first Wishmaster this movie hasn't many special effects (they are good, but there aren't very many), but a whole lot better acting. This is because Jack Sholder, the man who directed "A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge" (and in my opinion the second best film of the Nightmare series), directed this movie. Sholder is long due some respect in the genre. Also in Wishmaster 2, like in Wishmaster, we have a few more "under-legends". For instance we have Tony "Tiny" Lister Jr. (a very big man) and several other familiar B-movie faces. You'll know them when you see them! In recap "Wishmaster" has lousy acting but awesome special effects and gore, "Wishmaster 2" has few special effects and gore but very good acting. Watch them both with an open mind and not expecting so much. I like both movies. They seem to be getting better and better, so I cant wait to see Wishmaster 3 and 4!

Summary: Mediocre compared to the original
Review: Whilst the original movie, i.e., Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies VHS , is insightfull and funny, this one is more the standard horror movie far and focuses a whole lot more on the body count and the amount of gore. Gore and blood is not neccesarely bad; however compared to the stupendous original, this sequell is quite bland.

Summary: A Sequel that is as good as the first one
Review: Wishmaster 2 is almost as good as the first one, but as most horror sequels do, this one deviates from the original storyline. Without giving too much away, the Wishmaster is not djinn like he was in the first one. The costume is better and the shock value is a 4. There are also some scenes that are just incredible. Unfortunately the storyline takes a backseat for the shock, but Wishmaster 2 is still worth seeing.
