Rating: Summary: Quite good Review: I rented this not knowing what to expect. This is one of the better Giant snake movies. I thought the snake design was quite good considering it is a strait to video release. The acting and camera shots were well done (though there is some limitations to everthing). What made this movie stand out to me is the fact that they didn't screw it up with any noticeable computer effects, unlike Boa, Python 2, and any other movie by Nu Image. This is worth a rental at the least.
Rating: Summary: If you loved Anaconda then this is a must see!! Review: I think this Movie was cool. Because Un like Anaconda this movie takes place in your own Backyard not in the Jungles of South America.

Rating: Summary: Seth the DOWNS Syndrome Snake! Review: If you locked me up in a room for a million years and told me to come up witha more ridiculous more absurd name for a 50 foot long snake, than Seth I couldn't do it. One of the 52,812 downfalls of the movie was the fact that Mr. Miagi (the hundred year old chinese guy from Karate Kid) could man handle the 50 foot snake with the hook, like he was suffering from a full blown case of DOWNS Syndrome! The second of the 52,812 downfalls of the movie is that when Seth strikes he reminds me of a falling Giant Sequoia tree from the northern section of California. By participating in the viewing of this movie you are guarenteed a lifetime supply of stupidity and in far worse cases you will recieve a full blown case of DOWNS Syndrome!

Rating: Summary: King Crap Review: King Cobra is a superb example of the cheap and nameless talentthat is currently riddling Hollywood. Occasionally i will sit back, relax, and view a good ol' fashioned straight to video film. Most of those times I am not sorely disappointed....boy was King Cobra an exception. This thing was so dull and stupid that i didn't even feel like making fun of it. When i saw this i was amidst friends, and as is common with friends and a [bad] movie we wanted to make fun of it. Unfortunately this thing is so horrendous that we didn't even have the usually overbearing desire to mock it. That's right, this movie isn't even good for people who love bad movies. I don't know who compared this to Anaconda, but to say that is giving the filmakers behind this atrocity of film way too much credit....WAY TOO MUCH! The fake looking Cobra (who sleeps on the ground, climbs trees, blinks, raises its eyebrows in recognition, and never flexes its neck, which remains in an L-shaped position at all times), the uber-lackluster acting, the horrible script and story, the worthless cinematography, and the stupid editing make this film a waste of time even for the most educated "bad film connoisseurs". Don't waste your money on this, don't listen to those reviewers that said it was great(because they are obviously part of the filmaking team)....
Rating: Summary: King Cobra Review: King Cobra is about a mutated snake named Seth. He is mixed between a rattle snake and a cobra. When a lab explodes Seth is unleashed in a small town and starts to kill who ever is found in his path. The town soon finds out if they don't stop this snake they will all be dead. The special effects were very well done. The acting is good too. The plot could have been changed a little more to make it more exciting. Still it is a fun movie to watch every once and a while. The dvd is exellent. The dvd has an 8 minute making of king cobra. A great trailer and a production commentary by David and Scott Hillenbrand. King cobra is a great movie to add to your collection of snake movies. Recommended!
Rating: Summary: COILED TO STRIKE Review: KING COBRA is another giant snake movie; this time around it's a genetically enhanced cobra and rattlesnake that wreaks havoc. Pat Morita "stars" as a herpetologist who is recruited to destroy this giant snake named Seth, which escaped from its laboratory when a shot up techy decided to try something new and blew the lab up. Character actor Joseph Ruskin plays the scientist who managed the project, and lost an eye in the fire. The snake is on the loose during a beer making festival (that's original), and it chomps on a few locals before being unceremoniously killed in the end. Director Hellenbrand stages some nice scary moments early in the film, but he never shows us the full snake (budget probably didn't allow), but the close-ups are pretty effective. Not a bad snake movie, but not a classic either!
