Summary: There's a pot of [stuff] at the end of this rainbow
Review: My expectations weren't high when I rented Leprechaun in the Hood, but I was hoping it would be at least as funny as the first Leprechaun movie. And if I was lucky, it would be as fun as Leprechaun in Space.

Well, it wasn't.

Once again, I had subjected myself to a big, steaming heap of bad.

The pacing was awkward, the jokes [weak], and the script awful. Yet somehow, despite this movie being a veritable manure pile, there were a couple mushrooms of goodness hiding within. Once or twice, I guffawed without ever meaning to, because a joke or two would strike home.

I think my favourite was when the rap-star[hopefuls] were corralled into singing for a church. The lyrics went like this:

Jesus loves me, this I know
And if he don't, I'll get a ho.

Lovely!

But one or two funny bits and a handsome male cast just don't make it worth paying money for an hour and a half of mind-numbing badness.

This movie's only worth it if, out of Schadenfreude, you want to see how low Warwick Davis has sunk in his career.

Summary: Complete Crap!!!!!!
Review: ... what have they done to this series! The Leprechaun series remained excellent until part 4, which wasnt as bad as some say, I actually thought that was quite good. But this is utter ...! wasnt even good for a few cheap low budget film thrills!! I give it one star for the makeup on the Lep, the girls, the few jokes, and the ok gore scenes. If youre looking for a good continuation of the series, skip this one! Its not even suitable for a follow-up to 4!! To horrible to describe it any further! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!...

Summary: A guilty pleasure from beginning to end!
Review: Leprechaun as a franchise just gets sillier and sillier. 4 seemed dumb, and part 2 wasn't that great either, but 3 in Vegas and then 5 in the Hood, its goes to new heights of ridiculousness. Both these movies are worth seeing for a friday night laughathon with friends critiquing it in a "Mystery Science Theatre" fashion. This one is really dumb, but it features Ice T as a villian and almost functions as a parody of other films with Gangster rappers (I don't know if this was intentional). The rapping Warwick Davis part at the end is worth the price alone!

Summary: So Bad it's good, and by good i mean totally sweet
Review: This movie is great. I've seen it probably close to 20 times, and I keep coming back. It is defintatly the best of the Leprechaun series, and it has the best cast, with big names like Warwick Davis, Ice-T and Ivory Oceans! The plot is kinda twisted but includes loveable charactors like JAckie D and Chan, not to mention the 3 protagonists Postmaster P, Stray Bullet and Butch. The Leprechaun says some pretty hilarious things and the result is more of a comedy then a horror flick. This is a must rent for any fan of films anywhere.

Summary: Warwick Davis and Ice-T are in the hood!!!!!
Review: This movie is great! It has two really good actors like Warwick Davis and Ice-T. Gives you comedy but, at the same time stays serious with the plot. Has gore and the leprechaun! The plot is simple but, excellent! 3 rappers are playing in local clubs trying to get a record deal but, while they are playing their gear blows up. Then they see Ice-T in his limo and he has heard about them and their gear. He gives them a shot and listens to their tape but, he doesn't like it because, they deliever a positive message in their songs. He told them that if they changed it then they may have a shot at a record deal. They want to stay positive but, they go and steal from his house to get new gear. They steal a flute and I am not going to tell you the rest because, you need to see this for yourself! Buy it!

Summary: you have to be kidding me!
Review: After he was in space, i figured the was nowhere left for the leprachaun to go. Then i see he is in the hood. excuse me while i go polish warrick davis's oscar for him!
Same old story here. Ice tea ends up with the leprachauns magic flute and the little guy wants it back. Thus ensues a terrifying journey into the sordid alleys of the hood (oh boy!). Its a psychological tour de force as we see the inner turmoil of a leprachaun who badly wants his flute back ("give me me flute!"). Along the way he kills people and flirts with a guy in a pink dress. Yey! you know, in all fairness, i can't diss this film any further. Its almost endearing...in an ed wood kind of way.

Review: Leprechaun 5 is 'hella' funny- especially when the little green leprechaun lights up with Ice-T, then takes the gold ring from the pimp's hand- finger and all.

Summary: LEP IN THE HOOD, DON'T DO NO GOOD
Review: I HAVE BEEN WEENED ON SCARY MOVIES. MY VERY FIRST ONE WAS CUJO(I ROOTED FOR THE DOG) AND I'VE ALWAYS LOVED THE LEPRECHAUN MOVIES, CEPT LEP 4. AND BETCHA BY GOLLY WOW, THE 5TH WAS IS MY FAVE.
IT WAS JUST FUNNY, AND THE PART WHERE THE LEP SAYS A FRIEND WITH WEED IS A FRIEND INDEED, WE USED TO SAY THAT IN HIGH SCHOOL!
ANYWAY I'M 20 NOW, NO LONGER IN HIGH SCHOOL AND I STILL LOVE HORROR FLICKS. AS I ALWAYS WILL, AND I HOPE THEY AT LEAST MAKE 1 MORE LEP FLICK SO I CAN WATCH IT.
