Summary: Bravo! Clever Entertaining Classic
Review: An intelligent twist and commentary on the exploitative horror flick genre. This intelligent, entertaining, and beautifully shot Galluzzo classic is destined to be taught at film schools across the country. Losely based on Hitchcock's Rope, this cinematic, metaphoric 'bullfight' demands repeated viewing. Clever hints and tells have been shrewn throughout with an attention to detail worthy of Literature. Bravo!

Review: Fans of the late Glenn Quinn already knew that this DVD would be a can't-miss, since "R.S.V.P." was Quinn's last film. The movie itself is a fairly standard tongue-in-cheek thriller, with a cast that all seemed to be having a good time gently tweaking the conventions of the genre (including Jason "Jay" Mewes doing basically the same character as always), but as often happens, the real strength of this DVD is in the "special features." The deleted scenes show the viewer an entirely new perspective on the movie and its characters, particularly Hal Evans, the character played by Quinn. In pleasant contrast to the "Angel" season 1 DVD released earlier this year, the production commentary acknowledges Quinn's contribution to the film and his untimely death. Make sure to watch the production commentary all the way to the end, past the very end of the final credits. Too bad we'll never see that sequel.

Review: Rick Otto plays Nick who is studying serial killers and gets too carried away thinking that he can stage the perfect and ultimate mass murder without getting nagged. He invites his friends over for a "going away" party for another friend who is leaving and one by one they vanish. This thriller also stars Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Vulgar), Reno Wilson, Daniel Joseph, Jonathan Banks, Grace Zabriskie, Majandra Delfino (Tv's Roswell), Brandi Andres and the late Glenn Quinn (Tv's Angel, Campfire Tales) who passed away in December of 2002 from a heroine overdose which this being his last. Quinn and Otto spew out excellent performances and Jason Mewes does his usual Jay characterization. Those elements are the glue that holds this piece together along with the direction. Written by the Director.

Summary: Fun for the whole family
Review: The only reason I watched this movie was for the great Jay Mewes. I was delightfully surprised to discover that the movie was more than just your average cheesy teen horror/thriller, with bad acting, cheap camera work, and an unbelievably dumb plot and ending. I was happy to discover the incredible capturing of young adults and those insane on a murderous rampage. The realism was superb. Though the beginning started out a little slow I am happy to give my seal of approval and knowledge that for all you independence lovers out there will enjoy this movie.

Summary: Even at its slow points, it is fairly engaging...
Review: This is a who dunnit without the mystery of who is behind the murders; it is revealed fairly early. While in some movies, such a bold move would ruin the suspense of a thriller, it manages to work for this film. The thrills in this movie come from the hunt and the kills. While people get it in the traditional ways: strangling, bludgening, using the conveniently "there" power nailer... there is kill that I found to be inventive. It is done during a moment of improvisation and boy, does the killer carry that act out well. The character development is substantial. There isn't really anybody who stands out as "ooo care for me" but, when some of them do die, you feel a glimmer of hope that they don't. Jason Mewes provides the comic relief in this film and his brand of over the top, weed smoking humor is pretty funny. He meshes well with the other actors and actresses, some who can be taken seriously and other that make you wonder if they took themselves seriously in this fim. Bottom line, this film delivers some moments that pack a wallop. It also has some moments that leave you cold... but for a suspense/slasher flick, this film is pretty decent. Good acting, interesting plot, and the typical cliche of a slasher movie ending. Good stuff.

Summary: Glenn Quinn's last movie
Review: to say the least its just like another killer/thriller movie but its has its moments and it is sparked by the lively cast, including Jason Mewes(Dogma, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Vulgar) who, is great and also the nicely done character of Glenn Quinn(Doyle on Tv's Angel, Campfire Tales, Live Nude Girls, Shout, Dr. Giggles, Mark on Tv's Roseanne) who has some surprises in this movie, and really thats basically it...good support team help the feel of this movie and its not the most horrible slasher movie out there..I mean come on..you gotta respect Glenn Quinn..I mean he was Doyle on Angel for cripes sake..he will be missed and still loved and as a fan I truly hope he's looking down and seeing what his work really meant

Summary: Quality Horror
Review: To tell you the truth, once this movie got going(yes, it was a *little* slow-going at first), I had a hard time watching it, not because it was bad though. It was a very well-done horror film actually.

The plot is as follows: A guy is throwing a party for his best friend whom is now dating his ex-girlfriend, as the party go's on people keep wondering where the guy is that he's throwing the party for, because he's just not showing up. But he keeps reassuring them that he'll be there. But he soon begins picking his party guest off one by one.

I wont give anything else away, and maybe it doesn't sound like the most inventive film, but it has real emotions and brains involved so you know its not your average slasher film, but if you're one who does like slasher films, you'll probably hate this movie because it is a *little* bit slow-going at first, but once it gets going it doesn't stop.

Some of the kills are fairly gruesome, and the lead character, oh, he was great, I had a hard time watch because of those to element, but that's a good thing.!

So, if you enjoy quality horror films, you'll enjoy R.S.V.P. .

*Enjoy*

God Bless ~Amy
