Summary: Abominable indeed
Review: This is one of the greates lies I've ever watched on screen. The movie is slow paced. I appreciate the fact that it was not produced to be just another gore show, but the direction is sup par, the acting is atrocious and the ending was an insult. (I will give no spoils). A total failure.

Review: This movie is different in the way that you're told up front that it's the recanting of a 'supposedly' true story and so in that vein <I>'Sasquatch'</I> is a refreshing and grasping horror/adventure movie. An independent film, for sure, that obviously had consultants to understand the aspects, magnitude, and characteristics of the aforementioned 'Bigfoot' or 'Sasquatch,' the film never really lets you go, your attention firmly fixed at all times in case you miss something! Entertaining for teenagers right up to seniors, the acting is okay to good most times with average to good directing to pull off something that is obviously filmed remotely on location. Nice scenery, action, some minor nudity, and yet again some great acting scenes from Lance Henriksen bring the audience 'actual' accounts as if it were a documentary of sorts. It isn't going to win any Oscars, but it won't bore you either!

Review: This movie is different, it is a refreshing and grasping horror / adventure movie. An independent film that obviously had consultants to understand the aspects, magnitude, and characteristics of the bigfoot or sasquatch. Entertaining for teenagers right up to seniors. Although this review is based on the European release, the acting is okay to good with average to good directing to pull off a movie filmed remotely on location. Nice scenery, action, some nudity, great acting scenes from Lance Henriksen and others, bringing the audience actual accounts from a true story make this movie a must have. It isn't going to win any oscars but it won't bore you either.

Summary: Wonderful Movie
Review: This movie opens with enormous energy and sends a thrill down your back of what is to come. I would recommend the purchase of this DVD as it has many qualities that make for great entertainment for you or the kids. The true story aspect, the terrible true life drama that unfolded while shooting, the breath taking wilderness scenes that people from all over will appreciate. The acting by Lance Henriksen is fantastic and Russel Ferrier is an actor after this role worth taking a very close look at. Some drawbacks on the film are the way this was edited, although it helps in places and hinders in others. The commentary on DVD is fun and interesting. From all the stories I have gathered on how quickly this was shot, the weather conditions, the true life death of their Sasquatch maker, this is a collector for Fans of Sasquatch or Bigfoot or thiller adventurers of all types. I give this a solid 4/5 - for concept, rugged appeal, and a good old adventure movie.

Review: When one neglects to do the dishes for a few days and has left a pot with some water in it, a film can sometimes form. Depending on exactly what bacteria make up the film, it can have several different characteristics. Whatever characteristics they may be, they are doubtlessly more entertaining than this film. It opens with a jerky, dull montage, an effect to be deployed at every possible convenience. The shots are often blurred. The slow motion, shamelessly used throughout, is jerky and inappropriate. The camera work is not the only technical aspect of this film to be done poorly. The only word to describe the effects is awe-inspiring. I never would have believed that something could be done so poorly with all the technology available to create a monster. When one finally sees the creature in full, one realizes that it no wonder why no one has seen a bigfoot, it's because those poor creatures are ashamed of the way they look. The end result appears to be something like a gorilla/shorn poodle mix. Hair is randomly allotted to body parts. The shots from the POV of the yeti are absurd. It seems to have some type of infrared vision but without consistent distinction between temperatures. It's hard to believe that an upper primate created these effects. Maybe there is bigfoot after all... The script is awful. There is not an unpredictable moment throughout. There comes a moment when one of the crew finds part of the downed plane. Everyone sees scratches in the bark of trees but they cannot figure out what happened to the plane. Even talented actors would not be able to make palatable this bile. It just so happens that there is no evidence of acting talent shown here. The lone actor of note here, Lance Henriksen, just seems tired and apathetic, understandably. This film is exactly 86 minutes too long. Everything about it is terrible. The credits aren't even complete. Being eaten by the titular creature would be more rewarding than watching this film again. It's not even bad in a good way.
