Summary: Don't watch this before you go camping...
Review: As a firm believer in the existence of Bigfoot/Satquatch, etc. I was very interesetd to see what film makers would do with the legend. I had never heard of this movie before discovering the DVD, and I think this must have been a made-for-television production due to the obvious commercial breaks throughout.The story has undertones of Predator, with a "mysterious thing" stalking a party in the remote wilderness and slowly "eliminating" them one by one. This is a suspenseful movie and the "creature" is well done until the end when it is revealed in full exposure. The short glimses and partial shots of it are better done. Also, the way the creators chose to show the view through the creature's eyes was wierd, like some sort of extra-terrestial vision rather than human/animal eyesight - took away from the reality of the concept a little. Followers/fans of Sasquatch will not like that it is portrayed as a cold-blooded killer, but the end of the story reveals this reason. While this behavior is far from reality, let's face it, a docile creature that hides deep in the isolated forests far from human contact is not very entertaining for audiences. Overall I found the movie average, but those interested in Sasquatch will probably like it. The story was good - suspenseful and entertaining, the creature was well done but could have been better, and it was a good atempt by the makers at a story about this... legend???

Summary: Close, but no cigar...
Review: Darn! Here we had a chance for a decent Bigfoot flick. It had a few things going for it-- a fairly good budget, an excellent monster, Lance Henriksen. But all that was neutralized by foolishly behaving characters in an uneven and unlikely story that focuses on Corporate intrigue instead of North America's poster boy for cryptozoology. The creature is AWESOME, (that's why this flick gets two stars instead of one.) but you see it so late and so seldom, you feel you don't quite get your money's worth. (Kinda like the old black and white version of 'The Thing') And what was up with all the 'shiny vision' creature point of view stuff? What did that mean? And Arghh! The story----a leveraged high tech genetic research company just happens to send their only genetic copier machine with the only guy who knows its inner workings, with the CEO's daughter in a small plane, in the Pacific Northwest during a blizzard, and CRASH! Tragedy strikes. CEO Lance goes after the plane, but you're not sure if his reason is for his daughter or the gizmo. But now, I don't want to tell you everything. You still might want to see it. I'm just disappointed that there was a chance we could have a decent Bigfoot flick, and it falls short. I guess we'll just have to be satisfied for a while yet with 'Legend of Boggy Creek' or 'Harry and the Hendersons'.

Summary: Total snooze fest ...
Review: Don't judge a dvd by its cover...I thought this movie was boring. The first couple minutes of the film interested me. It jumped right into the action and I was looking forward to seeing some horror, but the horror came to a screeching halt! The story in the film advances 2 months and Enter-stalk mode! Am I the only one tired of "stalking" and no action? I just wasn't scared... Throughout most of the film, Bigfoot roams around the woods staring at everyone and making noises. By the time Bigfoot gets to the killings, as a viewer, I lost interest. I was just waiting for the movie to end. A boring environment, a boring cast of middle aged characters (at least they act that way), and a dull, disappointing end leads to my rating of only 2 stars...

Summary: Not quite sold on the Untold
Review: Hey all,
I just wanted to give you all a few crazy facts about this movie. I was actually one of the Make-up FX artists that help create the "beast" for this movie and I have to tell you the original creature looked absolutely amazing. I remember when we got the first photos back from the set we were all talking about how much of a shame it was that this creature was in a movie that would probably be pretty poor.
What actually happend though was that Jason Palmer did the original make-up for the Sasquatch, but for some reason they had to go back and re-shoot much of the creature. The sad part was that Jason passed away a few weeks before that and so the re-done creature was no where near as awesome as the original one.
For me it was quite sad because this was Jasons final movie, and he sort of got cheated out of his final fame due to the bad re-shoots. Anyway, I thought you guys may find that a tad interesing, and if you would like you can head over to mmmyeah.com and check out some "behind the scenes" photos.

Review: Hmm, How could I best describe "Sasquatch"? If you can imagine a low budget version of both "The Edge" and "Predator," substituting a Bigfoot for the bear and alien, with some elements of "The Blair Witch Project" thrown in, you'd pretty much have "Sasquatch." The story involves a plane crash in Bigfoot territory and the group of people who search for the wreckage. I'm kind of a sucker for these types of forest/mystery/survival stories, so I have to admit that I sorta liked "Sasquatch." The film is marred a bit by some strange directorial techniques; especially the irritating and inexplicable overuse of the 'fade-to-black' technique. But, you ask, what about the appearance of the creature? In other words, is the 'payoff' any good? I actually liked what they came up with -- sort of an unconventional take on the traditional look of the creature. I also liked the ending of the story itself. It was more profound and moving than anticipated. To be expected, the film-makers throw in a literal 'babe in the woods'; and, yes, she does have a nude hotspring scene. Hopefully some day a great movie will be made about the legend of Bigfoot. This is not such a movie. But if you're a fan of the creature or a sucker for these types of stories, it's a must.

Summary: Not a bad film but......
Review: I have been waiting over 2 years for this film's release. It wasnt bad, but being an amateur researcher on the actual legend, I wasnt all that impressed with it for several reasons: The editing was bad, the creature itself at the end was nothing like eyewitness descriptions, it wasnt even the same makeup they used for the glimpse shots of the creature in most of the film. Original footage shot was combined with reshoots. It could have been better, but what do you expect when you film a movie in 12 days? Thats not a typo either. The film WAS shot in 12 days.

Review: I picked this one up at a tag sale over Father's Day weekend and was told it was not a good representation of sasquatch subject matter. The seller was right, I wasted $. My recommendation is to pass this one up.

Summary: Not an accurate movie concerning the Bigfoot Mystery
Review: I saw the Sasquatch DVD today and here is my review.
First, the overall storyline was very good. The scenery was beautiful, and it was filmed in Vancouver, Canada.
The movie had some funny moments, many scary ones, and a very cool ending, that left me pleasantly surprised, as it was different from the usual "Monster Movie" ending.
The movie, overall, was very good. But parents be forewarned, there is a quick nude scene in this movie.
Now here are the complaints I have with the movie.
First and foremost, to an ignorant person, who doesnt understand Bigfoot, the movie makes Bigfoot seem like a cold blooded killer. Sort of like a Mini King Kong. Bigfoot isnt any more a cold blooded killer, than the person reading this is OJ Simpson!
Bigfeet are tender creatures who mind their own business, unlike the human animal.
I noticed the "excuse" that they give the Bigfoot for being angry, but shallow, ignorant people will just notice the parts about the men running through the forest with rifles, like a bunch of kids playing GI JOE, and that isnt fair to Bigfoot. Then again, Hollywood has never been known to consider anyone other than itself.
Secondly, You know those Toy Poodles in the dog shows? The ones who are bald except for a few patches of hair?
This must have been a Toy Bigfoot.
I have never seen a Bigfoot look quite like this, and the people involved in the movie, obviously didnt pattern the Bigfoot after eyewitness sightings descriptions of Bigfoot.
LOL This Bigfoot needs to contact the Hair Club for Men!
The weird thing is that the Bigfoot in the movie didnt even look alot like the Bigfoot on the DVD cover, which shows you that they just went for the "Cover sale", and not for any accuracy.
The characters in the movie were very good as far as making their characters come out and having the audience relate to them. But I cant completely support the movie, because Bigfoot IS real. If it was about a mythological creature, then I would give the movie 4 stars. But since its about a creature that IS real, Bigfoot, I would have hoped that they would have marketed the movie a bit differently.
All in all it is definitely worth watching. Enjoy!

Review: I was pleasantly surprised at the direction this movie took. I assumed I knew exactly what was going to happen the whole way through but it kept on surprising me, especially with it's intelligent and pulse-pounding ending. What we have here is a straight up horror flick that doesn't try and overdo everything and keeps all of it's elements low key. It has some surprisingly scary moments accompanied by a great cast and competent director. This is a very well made and beautifully photographed horror flick shot entirely in British Columbia, Canada. Acting- 8/10
Lance Henriksen is great here and shows that even though he starred in the awful Mangler 2, he still knows how to pick good roles. The rest of the cast impressed me and Lance's daughter was very convincing, even though she had a smaller part. Directing- 9/10
Absolutely beautiful snow-covered landscapes, rain soaked forestry and gorgeous overhead shots. Gore- 6/10
The MPAA rated this movie R for Language, Violence and brief Nudity. Don't fret though, there's a good amount of gore once the movie picks up. It's mostly after the fact but it's still very well done. We get a severed arm, a gory wound, blood in numerous scenes, an underground hole full of gory dead bodies and another severed arm. Nudity- 4/10
Andrea Roth provides two scenes of exposure. We see one of her butt cheeks early on then we see her breast and buns later in a seduction sequence. Hopefully it isn't a body double but I didn't find any body double in the credits so it's most likely her.
