Summary: Outstanding genre piece
Review: You can't go wrong with this masterpiece. The remastered edition is truly beautiful, the shots are nicely composed and executed. The film, shot in Conneticut in 1978, will give you a definite feel of the times, a truly atmospheric flick. Originally titled DAY OF THE WOMAN, the plot will quickly let you know why. Camille Keaton is the beautiful lead, and suposedly a distant relative of the silent era great BUSTER KEATON, shines in this marvelous film. The henchmen are evily displayed by a bunch of flunkies, but hey, low budget is low budget. This is definetly ANCHOR BAY'S greatest restored film out there on the market!

Review: I Spit On Your Grave, Kids, A Clockwork Orange and Showgirls. What do these movies have in common? They are all a part of the great chain of CONTROVERSY. I spit is most likely the worst of the Rape-Victim-Revenge films and probably the only one that has no regard for dignity. I really advize parents to keep thier children away from seein this film as I saw it when I was 15 or 16. Hell, I just turned 18 in February and I've seen all the above films that I mentioned. I'm not proud of this fact but I'll tell you what, education can come from all mediums, even the most explicit.

Review: This is the ultimate femmanist movie. The Spice Girls are wimps compered to the dame in this flick. The acting is terrible, but the revenge plot is good. A film for the women after they've had an arguement. I'm still not sure why it's banned in the U.K, something about the violence!

Review: I loved this movie from start to finish.I definatly want it in my movie collection. How could they make citizen Kane number 1 on the afi when we have this out and out master piece.Its the tale of a woman on a trip,unfortunatly she runs into some mean hombres along the way.

Review: A poormans "Deathwish", 18-20ish guys will probably enjoy this stylish movie the most. It's got plenty of (violent) sex and brutally realistic gore. A most noteworthy "bathtub scene" will have ALL men curling into a fetal position and probably ruin any chance for bubble-bath romance in the future. Don't watch it with a wife or girlfriend, but it's worth a look.

Summary: I Spit On Your Grave Lives Up To It's Expectations
Review: I remember reading a book by the PMRC's Tipper Gore back in the 80's that mentioned this movie. Mrs. Gore said that it is a blatant rape and violence movie. This was back when she wanted records and such rated. Well, I was browsing though the DVD selection and saw that this movie was available. I picked it up for curiosity's sake. What I got was what I expected. (If not more, most movies don't ever seem to live up to it's hype) Blatant Rape and Violence. It was actually quite disturbing. Something I won't pull out for my mother when she wants to watch a movie with me. The DVD is good quality and contains the trailer on it as well. The scene selections are nice too.

Summary: Brutal low budget revenge thriller
Review: This movie has very little in the way of good production values, however, that said, I recommend it if you enjoyed slasher flicks like the first Friday the 13th or dark comedies like Man Bites Dog. The first half of the film depicts the main character, a woman who has just moved to a secluded mountain cabin, being brutally raped, the rest of the film deals with her revenge. Her revenge is individually targetted at the men that raped her. I came away from it satisfied with the outcome.
