Summary: Wow, it's about time!
Review: The original Nightmare On Elm Street and Wes Craven's New Nightmare are really the only two films worth owning in the entire Nightmare series. The first time I saw the original Nightmare on Elm Street I was totally spooked out of my pants. It still spooks me today. And I've always admired its originality and have always kept it on the higher shelf of my DVD collection. It took 20 years for someone to come out and actually make another Freddy movie worth watching. Of course done by none other than the original creator, Wes Craven. Wes Craven's New Nightmare proves to be astoundingly clever, actually quite scary, and is almost better than the original. Just the idea behind this film just totally amazes me. It's the truest statement of "art imitates life, life imitates art." I recognize this style of a "movie within a movie" kind of thing from Scream 2, but this film truely exercises that premise with profound success. It's easy now to look back on Nightmare on Elm Street and think that it's just a movie, but with Wes Craven's New Nightmare, I'm not so sure anymore.

Summary: A real joke to the ANOES series
Review: This was a movie turned into a movie that has to be a real joke to the series. This was a movie where the original stars of the first movie have trouble with Freddy and then Freddy comes to the real world and then kills people. The weird part of this movie was how director Wes Craven made the movie like a documentary of Freddy's life instead of a sequel. The special effects weren't too good nor bad either but you could see why the special effects were mediocre because of the low budget. Freddy would star in his next movie Freddy Vs Jason that was a lot better than this.

This movie is an alright movie. I didn't really find it interesting because Freddy dosen't come out that much and it is boring. But I guess this is not the worst in the series. The worst in the series is part 5.

Summary: MOST ANNOYING NIGHTMARE FILM!!!!
Review: This is by far one of THE best Freddy movies ever made! It is one of the few that could keep my attention during the movie. It had a plot, unlike some horror movies! This has to be one of the best in the Series, even though it is not part of the Nightmare on Elm Street Series. It is a true eye catcher down to the very end!

Review: in this one,freddy exists for real and before was only a movie.now he comes out of the movies for real.the idea sucks i know.that one chick whose in almost every freddy movie is in it.the kids should never be exposed to movies about a child killer.i guess wes craven did the movie.i have a hard time beliving that since the idea was so lame.there were 6 freddy movies before it.freddy showed up in the 1st one.he attacked a pool party in 2,a psyche hospital in 3,its survivors in 4 and the sole survivors of 4s baby in 5.then hes supposedly dead in freddys dead ,part 6,the 3d one.a new nightmare came next in at 7.its the worst one still.theres only been one more where he and jason fight.most freddy fans are pretty hardcore and therefore forgiving about lame story lines.so theyll still like it.i think watching a child killer stalk a 6 year old whose going all schizo is a bit much.the special effects are not as cool as the others either.
