Review: Though I believe that the first Pet Sematary gives you more of a creepy odd feeling than its sequel, i believe that PS2 excels above its predecessor in half a dozen areas. One factor I enjoy more is the abundantness of characters and a story line that seems more fun and enjoyable. Edward Furlong really does a good job of conveying Jeff Matthew's depression from his mothers death. And Clancy Brown is hands down fantastic as Gus. Anthony Edwards is great too, you can really sense his confusion about what he should do in life. The only thing this movie is really missing is a soundtrack, there are alot of kick *** bands on this movie.

Review: Well this movie is not near as good as the first its still entertaining, I think teens will enjoy this more then the first. The first has more of an overall creepy feeling and is just disturbing where this one is just one big gore-fest and is not near as creepy. It is however, still quite disturbing, very disturbing for that matter. But seeing as teens like gore fest more then creepy slow moving films this appeals more to them and whereas the original isn't really targeted at an audience its just an adaption of the book. But if you love horror movies I'm sure you'll love this!!!! Woohoo!!! Though its not something I'd recomend.... God Bless ~Amy

Review: Why is it that even though every one knows the story of THE MONKEY'S PAW, people tend to want to bring the dead back, when they know it's not gonna be pretty. Mary Lambert's PET SEMATARY TWO is a disturbing, dark, brooding movie, where children and pets are wasted very casually. Especially brutal is the fate of Andrew (Jason McGuire). But here's my overall take:
THE SCRIPT: Stephen King wasn't happy, but he still let it come out, huh? Actually, the script's not that bad, it's just so dark and foreboding. SCORE: 3
THE CAST: I've never been a fan of Edward Furlong, but this is the first time he didn't tick me off through the whole movie; he obviously enjoys playing the cynical, dark, deep kid; Anthony Edwards is ineffectual, too zombielike; Clancy Brown is marvelous as Gus, especially when he returns from the dead; Jared Rushton (Big) is good, too, as the psychotic to be Clyde; and Darlanne Flugel is richly exotic as Furlong's dead mother.

TECHNICALLY: Up and down; the effects of the dog are sometimes good, and other times, very noticeably inept; the score does nothing to enhance the film, but when you're marketing for teenagers, it's inevitable; direction is a little slow at times. SCORE: 3

Review: Wow! This sequel is just as incredible as the original. Now there's something you definately don't see every day! After I saw the fabulous PET SEMATARY, probably the greatest movie on Earth, I dreaded the thought that there was a sequel because I thought it would just be cheesy [stuff]. I decided to rent it and see for myself. BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe it or not, this really IS just as good as the original. The movie is about this kid Jeff Mathews and his father who live din Hollywood with Jeff's movie star mother Renee, until there was an accident while filming a movie and Renee got electricuted and died. Jeff saw the whole thing. So his father decided to move to Ludlow, Maine (the place where all the stuff happened with the Creed family from the first film) and Jeff gets himself a new kitten from the kennel where his dad is going to work. When he starts school, Jeff hears talk of an acient Indian Burial Ground that "makes the dead rise." Then Jeff makes friends with pudjy Drew Gilmore. When Drew's abusive trigger-happy father Gus shoots Drew's dog, Jeff and Drew bury him in the Burial Ground. When Drew's vengevul dog comes back from the dead and kills Gus, They bury him in the Burial Ground. Gus comes back and all hell breaks loose and all citizens of the town are in danger. So, it is more fun and enjoyable than the first, but not so much fun that it's cheesy. It's just not as serious as the first. It is still very disturbing, as the first was. See it if you liked the first one.
