Summary: "My God! I believe...in...you!"
Review: I'm glad to see I'm not alone in my thinking that this is one of the greatest horror films ever made. A true psychological thriller that goes easy on the gore but heavy on the dialogue and subtleties of musicical and photographic magic. If the scene in the hospital with the long shot of the hallway doesn't scare the absolute bejesus out of you then have your heart examined by a specialist. Billy Bibbit gives one of THE definitive horror genre performances of all time.

Summary: The true sequel to The Exorcist
Review: One of the finest, most atmospheric films I have seen, and a favourite of mine. Despite the presence of Richard Burton in Exorcist 2, I think this film is the true sequel to The Exorcist. Perfectly cast and filmed, I'm afraid I can't agree with the Amazon review above!

Summary: Almost as good as the first!
Review: Considering how lowsy the second one was, I never expected the third to be any good. So I put off seeing it. Boy, was that a mistake. See this one as soon as you can. That is all.

Summary: "OH, YOU ARE SETTING YOURSELF UP FOR THE DANCE..."
Review: Clearly, in my mind, one of the eeriest, scariest and darkest movies ever made.. The dialect between the obsessed priest and George Scott's character is intense and so creative. I have watched this film over and over. The background gurgling and grumbling of evil with the catatonic patients is also extremely scary.

This is the type of movie that will remain etched in your mind with extreme vivid images.. watching it alone on a stormy night is a true prescription for permanent behavioral disorders.

One of the most forboding images is in the church where Scott hears a noise.. the lights flicker endlessly and then are extinquished.. as he lurks down the hall there is a quick scene of the religious statue.. It is now an evil clown with a knife in the hand.. EXTREMELY MIND BLOWING!!

Then, of course, there is the catatonic old lady who is on a mission from Satan to behead...also the ceiling scene.. need I say more?

See this movie... again, the dialect between the priest/gemini killer and Scott is intense!!

A must see!!

Summary: William Peter Blatty's genius continuation of true horror
Review: Exorcist Three, with the amazing cast of George C, Scott and Brad Dourif should be among the greatest of psychological-suspense-horror. If there was anyone else who could play Lieutenant Kinderman, and if there was anyone else who could play the latest incarnation of the demon, I'd like to see it. William Peter Blatty at his best. And that's the truth.

Summary: Its a wonderful life!
Review: To transfer those words from a classic "good feeling" movie to ones that stay imbedded in your mind as pure horror through a small peice of the movie can only be described as amazing. This movie digs deep into your worst nightmares and portrays them into what appears to be at first glance a murder mystery. If it wasn't for the title which preludes the viewers high "expectations" of the first movie,I would think it to as frightning as it was 16 years ago.Considering the genre overload of frightning films as well as higher technological techniques, which I might add has "numbed" me to most so called scarey films,I have to say that this movie touches that "hide my eyes and tell me when its over" spot thats been sitting dormant for longer than I care to remember..All with basic "old fashion" movie tecniques brought up to modern levels with absolutley no computer graphics! It all comes together as a refreshing, truly frightning film dripping with all the key elements that make for a great horror movie...Heart pounding suspence, excellent cast and storyline and oh yes...Satan! Go see it.

Summary: Absolutely brilliant filmmaking
Review: Everything that makes a movie great.. ingenious script, convincing acting, and beautiful photography are all illustrated perfectly in William Peter Blatty's Exorcist III.

It could only be described as the "Godfather" of horror, with elements of wit, humor, and drama seamlessly integrated to create the severely underrated film.

The use of humor and symbolism is often subtle, but very effective and the script exhibits some of the best dialogue ever portrayed. All the actors were frighteningly perfect, from the jerky body movements of the neurotic doctor, to the casually evil persona of the Gemini killer (who's role was replicated in an X file episode).

One warning though, it is imperative that you see the original and pay special attention to the character of Daemon, as his courage and sacrifices are the basis for Exorcist III

If this movie ever is released on DVD, that will provide the motivation I need to purchase a player.

Summary: "KEEP THE LIGHTS ON!!!!!"
Review: I first saw this film w/my fiance in the theatre(it was disturbing then) & still is! the scene w/amy had my fiance screaming(& she still wont watch that scene) EX3 is a worthy sequel to the original(never watch 2)The imagery & aura of evil in this film are all too real,it leaves u with a def case of the willies! def watch this more than once to pick up on all the subtle images & ideas that blatty puts in the film(they show up again thru out the film). also look for cameos by samuel l jackson & fabio(theres a trivia question) & remember "if the dead have nothing to say they really should shut up!"

Summary: Easily the scariest movie I've ever seen!
Review: I have seen this movie upteen times, and every single time Iwatch it, I am terrified. I always watch it with someone who hasn'tseen it, just to see them jump at every turn. Even as I am writing this I am turning around constantly, because just thinking about the movie gives me the creeps. Fantastic, if subdued, acting by George C. Scott, and a career-making performance by Brad Dourif. DO NOT watch by yourself- have all the lights on, too!!!

Summary: Compelling horror
Review: I'm a fan of horror scenes that mean nothing by themselves butin context of the rest of the movie have the greatestimplications. Exorcist 3 has several such (note the part when he sees the old woman in the kitchen). By the way, did anyone notice Fabio's "cameo" as an angel in the heaven scene?
