Summary: Good But Not Excellent
Review: During the first opening the long awaited explaination for Michael's supposed decapitation is answered. It was an innocent man who Laurie killed and due to this she has been issued to a sanitarium. Three years pass by and Laurie gets a surprise guest. MICHAEL!!! After running around the corridors for a bit the two end up on the sanitarium roof where due to clever planning Michael is flipped off the building and ends up hanging onto the edge of the roof. During this he dropped his large knife which is picked up by Laurie. As she walks over she mutters "I'm not afraid of you anymore. I hope you're not afraid of me." Stupidly she reaches down to recover his mask (just to make sure it's Michael and she doesn't kill another innocent guy) but Michael manages to grab her and pull her down so they're both hanging off the roof. He regains his trusty knife and stabs Laurie in the back then drops her. He looks while his sister and famous victim for Halloween 1,2 & H20 plummits to the ground. That is the bit I hated. Jamie Lee Curtis is the star of Halloween and whenever someone says Halloween you'll always associate it with Jamie Lee Curtis. So they re-introduce her character in the excellent Halloween H20 only to kill her off in the next sequel!!! Now that Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis has gone the series will lose complete originality and I'm afraid it will become a modern-day slasher saga like Scream!!! Anyway after killing his greatest victim of all time Michael returns home to find his house rigged with cameras and little practical jokes here and there. He also finds six students in the house presenting a show named 'Dangertainment' (which is like The Real World). Michael is very angry. Six teens have invaded his territory! Soon he starts doing what he does best Slicing and Dicing until one girl is left. Sara Moyer who's only chance of survival is with her friend who's at home watching the incident. As the cameras are all around the house Sara's friend can see where Michael is and how close he is to Sara. The two communicate with a palm computer. Soon though Michael gets his hands on Sara but she escapes leaving Michael in a fiery ending. But as we all know . . . EVIL NEVER DIES!!! The thing I didn't like in this film was the lack of time. Due to such a short space you found people getting killed every ten minutes like in Scream 3. Also the acting can get so cheesy at time you wonder if the film should have gone straight to video. Don't get me wrong the storyline was excellent and I liked the film but some quick touch-ups and it would have been perfect. I really don't see why the film wasn't perfect as it was delayed for a year due to some legal jargal??? Anyway go and see it but if you're only seeing it because Jamie Lee Curtis is in it then don't bother cause she's only in the first 15 minutes and is not in any other part of the movie... And one more thing. I think the film is losing it's originality as Michael use to strictly kill family members only and now he's killing a bunch of kids he doesn't even know!!! He's still got family members out there!!! What ever happened to Laurie's son John??? He also survived at the end of Halloween H20!!! Any questions e-mail me at BarnabyTwyman@aol.com!!!

Summary: GREAT SEQUEL!!!!!!
Review: This was a terrific movie!!! But.... why are people giving the storyline away here in their reviews???? For crying out loud!!!!! Let people see it for themselves. Quit telling the story!!!!

WITHOUT GIVING ANYTHING AWAY, let me just say that I really enjoyed the awesome camerawork, the overall direction by Rick Rosenthal (who also directed Halloween II) and the incredible music score!! And that is my review!!

Summary: People PLease!
Review: To all those people who have bad reviews to say about the Halloween series let me say this. You have a right to your opinion, but please! THis is a movie people, These films are not based on actual facts it is all fiction. And for those who went to go see it and claim to be professional critics on films sort of speak from the way you critique the moveis. It is all you fault and you have only your self to blame for going to the movies if you already know the others being bad..So instead of bitching about how bad and lame the movies may have been (in your opinion) stop going to them and stop talking crap. There are plenty of us that loved the movies and probably have them at home so you all who complaine look like fools because you are going to see a movie you can't stand. If you think of it by the bad remarks that actually encourages people to go and see the movie just like how a real cirtic does on t.v. becuase i know i will always to the opposite of the Film critic of any sort...Thx for your time:)

Review: What can I say? Excellent flick. I was rather bummed though when Laurie died. I love the line: I will see you in hell Micheal. I thought it was done great...I encourage all to go see it. It is definitely worth owning once it is on video.

Summary: A different approach
Review: The first twelve minutes of this movie are the scariest. Not because of the gory violence, but because you want to see if rumors leaked over the internet are true. After those twelve minutes, everything goes downhill. While the acting is good, script writers could have done something more original...but ripping off other films (Blair Witch, Friday the 13th, etc.) makes the movie somewhat interesting (I'm thinking that it's about time that the most ripped-off horror film gets revenge against all those rip-offs!).

For those people complaining that Michael Meyers never dies, blame the fans. They wanted him back. And at least how he is still alive actually makes sense this time around.

For those people commenting how John Carpenter didn't want a sequel to his original film...give me a break. He left a big opening for sequels and wrote the second film--and the music Carpenter wrote for the original still appears in every one. Does Mr. Carpenter want the sequels to end? It won't happen. What he needs to do is write a sequel that ends it his way!! After that, let everyone else finish off their story lines--hoping that no new story lines are created.

As to why I'm lowering my star value--well, opinions change.

Summary: Halloween 8 - Above Average Halloween Movie
Review: First, let me start off wih saying that you have to be a real hardcore Halloween fan, like I am, to love it. If you're interested in following up on this movie, than watch Halloween 1,2, and H20. Don't bother with the rest. They have nothing to do with it. If you watch those three, that will give you a basic backround of the series. Now, onto the review... (SPOILERS)

The first 10-15 min. of this film are the best. It features Jamie Lee, but ends with her death. It slowly gets exciting from there until you get to the last 30 min with Sara (Bianca Kasjlich) trying to get away from Michael by using her Palm Pilot to communicate to her friend who is watching the webcast. He types and sends messages on his palm pilot of where Michael is and which way she should go. It's just plain exciting.

The deaths are definitly above average. There are SO much better than the deaths in H20. See below for a list of deaths.

Overall, this was an above average entry into the series. Go and see it even if you're not a fan, you'll enjoy the deaths.

LIST OF DEATHS (SPOILERS)

Decapitation (Off-Screen)
Slit Throat
Stabbed/Fall Off Roof (Jamie Lee)
Tripod Through Neck
Stabbed In Head
Impaled On Spike
Skull Crushed
Decapitation
Stabbed To Door
Hung And Stabbed With Trowel (Off-Screen)
Burned (Michael - Not Dead)

Summary: Forget What The Critics Say! Three and a Half Stars.
Review: Forget what the critics say if You're a big Halloween fan like me, were you really expecting a classic? Based on the plot and actors/actresses I sure as hell wasn't! The movie sure had it's disapontments such as some cheesy acting, but was mostly satisfiing I guess. The first fifteen minutes was great involving Jamie Lee Curtis but they were also extraeneuous. The weak part of the movie was after the 15 minute Jamie Lee Cutis cameo. Busta Rhymes who wasn't terrible had a role that did not suit his nature, none the less, the movie had a few good scares though it was a bit predicatable. Tyra Banks, Bianca Kajlich and Katee Sackoff had terrible acting. The rest of the supporting cast Thomas Ian Nichols, Sean Patrick Thomas, Luke Kirby and Daisy Mckrackin did a solid job. Michael Myers for the most part looked like his scary self, but whatever happened to his burnt hands and shot up eyes? The director Rick Rosenthal who directed Halloween 2 in 1981 (The best Halloween Sequel up to date) forgot about what happened to Michael in his own directed movie! As far as the ending is concerned It scared the whole theater but was kind of predictable. Overall I give it three and a half stars and that is just being very fair from a diehard Halloween fan. With all this being said the bottom line is that this franchise has to somehow go back to John Carpenter's bright Ideas from the original Halloween. These sequels all these years have not made much critics exited. However critics are ignorant and have big ego's. Dam the crtics for killing this movie. It's what the fans think. In this case I noticed most fans were satisfied with this movie. Now hopefully in Halloween 9 they bring Jamie Lee Curtis back, get better acting, and get bring more suspense, also to make the movie longer, the 87 minute running time for this movie was not a smart idea.

Summary: ONLY FOR DIR HARD HALLOWEEN FANS
Review: ...Here are my thoughts on this movie. No it is not the greatest Halloween movies. This one is just the same as the last 7. There are alot of things about the series that make no sense so who really cares anymore. I mean why does Michael Myers always either gains or loses weight. I don't understand that. And I'm sure that Jamie Lee got payed alot of money to do this one. I'm still trying to figure out why Josh Heartnet's name was even listed as an actor. Where was he???? I bet they counted those flashbacks in the begining. Look I am not trying to diss this film. I mean I gave it a 3 but is it really just as good if not better than the original like all these people are saying. No. Absolutely not. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figue that. But is it worth watching.... if you are a die hard Halloween fan then yes..... if not.... save you money because youwill not like this film. The ending is the worst ending that has ever beenr ecorded in the history of films and they really do need to give michael a rest. I am a fan of the series. Have every one on dvd and I admit it sould have ended at part 2. They culd have still made the little gay part 3 but ended it at that. They did not do this. They d just want money and I guess that the die hard fans might like the othe movies. I don't mind them but I can admit they are unrealistic. ONLY SEE THIS MOVIE IF YOU ARE A DIE HARD HALLOWEEN FAN. AND THE BEST ONE NEXT TO THE ORIGINAL TWO IS HALLOWEEN 6 : THE PRODUCERS CUT. ONLY THE PRODUCERS CUT. NOTHING ELSE.

Summary: One great horror hit!
Review: This movie is full of all kinds of surprises that you wouldn't believe! Having a great plot along with an excellent slasher this movie is a classic!... However there was one put down for this movie. Busta Rhymes? Come on this guy raps. He actually didn't ruin the movie! This guy acts better than he raps!... Any way this movie is exciting from beginning to end! Michael is still a great slasher that will not die! See this movie and get killed off by Michael!
