Summary: A let-down.
Review: Having read the book, which is a classic and truly terrifying, my expectations for this film were high. The idea of a family pet becoming a salivating monster is still a scary thought, but unfortunately the film fails to deliver. The 'cute' scenes involving the young boy and his father really have no business in a horror film. And the characters who die are all so obnoxious you couldn't care less about them anyway. In fact, Cujo, far from being frightening, comes across as the only sympathetic character in the entire mess. Added to that are the facts that the scenes in the stranded car drag on and become tedious, and that the 'surprise ending' is pointless and idiotic, and you're left with something which isn't worth the bother.

Summary: The book was better.
Review: Having read the Stephen King book I was rather disappointed with this adaptation. It has its moments but it's all generally rather lightweight horror. Don't get me wrong, it's an entertaining film, but it's just not the scarier, more involved thriller it could have been.

Summary: Great book, but the Movie should be banned!
Review: I am a huge fan of Steven King, both of his books and movies. I read Cujo a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Recently I bought the movie (DVD edition). This is easily one of the worst, most boring, ridiculous, yawn yawn, so stupid its almost funny movies I have ever wasted my time on! To top it off it is entirely NOT AT ALL SCARY! I mean, let's review...St. Bernard gets rabies and rather than go off and die, as any animal with rabies always does he kills his spouse abusing owner, his owners best friend who is a worthless redneck drunk and a sarcastic jerk of a sheriff, as well as terrorizing a cheating wife and her innocent son. The dog is really doing everyone a favor in this movie by killing the people that he does. I found myself rooting for the dog. One other thing is that the dvd offers no special features at all...if you must see this movie just rent it. Read the book it is so much better, If I could give this movie 0 stars I would!...But that's me....If you like the movie then buy it!

Summary: Fantastic
Review: I cannot express how much this movie kicked so much booty. I love dogs, and when one goes evil? How is that not entertaining? Only thing I didn't like was that in the book, Tad died, and didn't in this movie. Just because Tad dying was kind of the moral of this story. Stephen King is phenomenol, and I'd wonder what he'd have to say about how the movie makers did this.

Summary: Bad, very bad.
Review: I enjoyed the novel, I really did, but this film is just awful. All the scenes are abrubt and the dialogue is choppy. It was like reading the novel with only a quarter of the events and one eigth of the believability. I can't believe I kept this movie for some many days past its due date. The best actor has got to be the director, who actually convinced a company that he was competent of directing a film. I'm not a harsh horror critic, im a big fan in fact, but this is just unconvincing and bad. Read the book, but leave it at that. Your imagination way outdoes this film.

Summary: Pretty good
Review: I liked this movie. Of course if wasn't as good as the book, but what movie is? Several scenes with the dog at the end will make you jump out of your seat. There are a few things that were very important in the book that weren't explained enough in the movie. Very good considering the age and price of the movie.

Summary: Great movie
Review: I personally have always enjoyed CUJO. I remember see'ing it when i was a young lad and enjoyed it then and still do now. A must for any fan of horror or whatever category people would put it in. A movie about a rabid dog that traps a mother and her homo son in a car a little boring in the begining but becomes a very good action filled .Worth the money as it was one of the first dvd's I purchased.

Summary: Great horror!
Review: I read the other reviews here at Amazon about this movie and found they were all very negative to it. I, on the other hand, had the scare of my life watching it, and despite the ending I think it's one of the greatest horror movies I've ever seen! It builds up to some great scares, includes excellent acting (especially by the young boy playing Tad) and delivers some of the most frightening moments in horror history! Enjoy
