Summary: A picture deprived of evolution
Review: I loved the first one, the whole concept, and just the all around atmosphere. and i didnt think to highly of the second one. but the 3rd one aint so bad, just needs to be some evolving in the whole picture. in fact, horror movies need evolution. now, this movie is rather demented as the previous 2 were, and its quite jumpy, as in, "come on, run you fool, hes righ behind you..." you get the picture. but, i just wish they could have done more. expanded the horizons of the whole set up, you know, have a new mind set on how things are done. i mean, i like this movie, but its just kind of the same thing, but a little better than the second one. i do reccomend this to all horror fans, and just watch it and sit back and enjoy. it is quite enjoyable, and none of the flaws get in the way of a good saturday night flick with the ol' ball and chain. peace out!!

Summary: The only real sequel
Review: "Part 2" has been seen as the dying nightmare of the surviving
cast member of the original movie. It never "really happened".
"The Next Generation" is really a cutting-edge remake of the
original, while the recent remake is simply a recent remake,
making "Leatherface" the only true "sequel".
As such, it does not disappoint. True, it is slick and quite
commercial, but it's still a scary, vastly entertaining film
and a classic in it's own right. The dvd is fantastic-- make
sure to watch the alternate ending, which is the real vision,
and the uncut version of the movie itself. The R version is
too sterile for it's own good.
If you love horror, by all means get this dvd and in a hurry.
I consider "Leatherface" to be a great piece and one which has
been too neglected for far too long.

Summary: Ghoulishly Great
Review: I enjoyed all of the Chainsaw movies, but this one is a cut above most of the sequels. Look for the character of Stretch from TCM II as a tv reporter following Leatherface's trail of murder. That was a nice touch. The deleted scenes and documentary make this DVD a winner!

Summary: Leatherface: The Caring Big Brother
Review: This movie starts out with a nice hook: A forensics unit is excavating a mass grave in biohazzard suits. It echoes the original's "dessicrated grave yard" opening.From there, the movie quickly runs out of steam as movie fate throws a few uninteresting characters into the stew of an unintersting cannibal family. Creepy mom talks with a larnyx box. Creepy little sister sits on Leatherface's lap who nods in agreement as annoying big brother moralizes about the saw being family, or something. There is no suspense. There are no characters we like or loathe enough to care about whether they live or die. And all attempts at humor fall flat. Leatherface does get a very nice silver plated saw, but even that is all shine and no substance. It might as well be Alec Baldwin for all we care. The sad thing about it is all the other TCM movies are scary and fun and contain at least one element of shock and so you can't wait for this one to be out on DVD and when it comes out, it lacks even the jiggle of Jell-O. If you must have a fourth TCM movie on DVD, make it House of 1,000 Corpses

Review: this one is purely for fans and Leatherface is back in action. but it doesnt surpass the other 2. look close for Viggo Mortensen. wallops in familiar turf. if only Tobe Hooper directed it, then it would be good, but like I said, fo the fans

Summary: WHERE IS EVERYBODY???
Review: this was an ok movie. but wheres stretch and lefty and drayer from the second TCM? what happens to stretch, my favorite character? or what about lefty? did he lose the fight with leather face? and whats up with this new family? did they adopt leather face? if people are going to make a movie, make sure the survivors from the previous movie are in this one.

Summary: i did not like it that mutch
Review: i baught this dvd of leatherface the texas chainsaw massacre 3 at best buy. and i watched both of the documentaries and the alternate ending. and when i finished watching it i was kinda scared by some of the scenes. so later when i whent to bed i had to sleep with the light on and the tv on. and i was awake in bed until almost six oclock in the a.m. so it might be a while before i stick this disk in my dvd player. and i will probubly aventully sell it.

Summary: Still Holds High in the Series
Review: Even though this marks the third entry into the "Chainsaw" series, it still holds its ground. I'd have to say even with Tobe Hooper not involved it still did very well in originality. You get a new family, a new batch of victims, and a new taste of humor mixed with horror. Not to mention, a new and improved saw! R.A. Mihailoff pulls off a really good Leatherface, giving him a whole new personality, not to mention a much scarier looking mask then the ones from the two previous films. The family is both humorous and sadistic and will keep your attention throughout the movie. When you go to the video store and pick up the first two, be sure to get this one as well to watch for the sheer humor and fun!

Summary: Impressive for fans.....
Review: (Instead of reviewing a film which you probably already know, I stick to DVD Special Features) Those Extras: Filmmaker Commentary: Big letdown. It's actually audio culled from later video interviews you will find on the disc. NOT SCENE SPECIFIC. This is a major factor. There's nothing more fun than to watch how every scene was done for an obscure horror film from years ago. So, unfortunately not here. Documentary: An excellent 28 minute batch of interviews with six major names from the film: Director Burr, Producer Engleman, Mahailoff (Leatherface), Butler (Ryan), an FX guy and the head of New Line. Some great insights about the making and years following the film. Deleted Scenes: A great deal. I must say, this is the most effective part of the DVD, because of restored violence and dialogue. It leaves you (at least me) with a completely different emotional feeling at its conclusion. Let's face it, the cut we saw all those years ago was essentially an action film. Fistfights, explosions, machine guns, car crashes. Though cut to ribbons, it was still a fun adventure. This film has a VERY different tone due to longer exposure to what the victims go through, especially the Kate Hodge character. A HUGE extra dynamic is added to this original version of the film. (This refers to the Unrated version and deleted scene feature). Alternate Endings: One is featured, good for an "Ohhhh wicked!" kind of laugh, but a bit incoherent (why would the police car stop and then keep going???). Plus Tex survives a bit longer for one more confrontation and demise. Overall: A pretty good job to satisfy fans.

Review: All I have to say is that this was an ok flick! Not the best but it reminded me of Blair Witch! It is a little wierd and off!!! But thats ok as long as there are people geting tortured and chased with Chainsaws!!! Fun times!!!
