Summary: super classic!
Review: I saw this movie back in l976 when it first opened and remember there was no big hype about it. It was presented as just another teen slasher movie. Since then I've lost count of the number of times I've seen it. Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie were both up for acting Oscars but neither won. The musical score by Italian composer Pino Donaggio is a masterpiece. This emphasizes how truly great scare classics like Carrie, Poltergeist utilized great composers to create unforgettable mood music. Carrie is also amazing for the number of mostly unknowns who went on to make it big: Piper Laurie (although a starlet in the 50s made an electrifying comeback here); Betty Buckley, Nancy Allen (as the vicious Chris). Wonder what happened to P.J. Soles, the evil Norma? She was in Rock n' Roll High School. A great classic by Brian de Palma before he lost his touch.

Summary: Telekinesis is no game!
Review: I would have to say, this movie is one of Stephen King's (and Brian De Palma's) best movies! I was so afraid of horror movies before i saw this. Watching Carrie made me overcome my fear and now I love horror movies! Even thought Carrie did the job, my favorite horror movie will always be Halloween. But not to get of the subject, here is my summary of the film:

It starts out with Carrie and her PE class playing Volleyball. Carrie missed and everone yells at her. When she's in the shower, she all of a sudden goes through "that special stage in a young girl's life" and again, Carrie's pears abuse her. By now, the only person Carrie has come to trust is her PE teacher, Miss Collins. Who eles can she trust? Not her schoolmates, definatly not her religious faniatic loony mother (who also abuses her). Carrie then discovers a mental power called 'telekinesis.' Towards the prom scene, Carrie has this power under control, and used it to get her revenge-ON EVERYONE!

This is a MUST SEE for anyone who likes horror movies. I give it 5 STARS!

Summary: Sad, sppoky and cool all in one!
Review: This was a great story turned into a great movie. Sissy Spacek is great as Carrie White, and it is sad how Chris Hargensen picked on her. It gets you feeling sorry for her.

Summary: Carrie .. IS SO....
Review: This movie is still haunting me... I do not know why. Ok, i take that back... Yes I do know. First of all I relate to Carrie all too WELL. Except in the movie Carrie was never mean to anyone else, except in the end, and i don't think she meant harm to anyone, she just held her TEARS and RAGE in for so long - she just blew up (not herself everyone else) I have yet to see the 2nd Carrie, but if it were up to me to come up with a 3rd? I would have Carrie learn to play PIANO and DRUMS, and maybe throw in a Karaoke party/jam session instead of the prom...:) But that's just Me. P.S- one star is for all you who care one is for my dad(TOM) who has always been there for me and the third is for my mother Cindy who is nothing like margaret. And because my birth was like the end of the movie sort of the rest go to Dr. James Russell who helped me through it...oh yeah and Sarah McLachlan because she surfs!

Summary: A nice young upstart by 70's heartthrob John Travolta!
Review: An excellent horror fim, more of a suspense though. Piper Laurie is truly frightening as Carrie's religious fanatic phsychopathic mother. John Travolta has a good supporting role as the punk Billy Nolan, whose character is so believable and more of a heavy than in his small screen T.V. show "Welcome Back Kotter", as Vinnie Barbarino. William Katt does good as the nice boy next door Tommy Ross, who takes Carrie to the prom as a favor. Nancy Allen is good playing the troublemaking Chris Hargensen. And of course Sissy Spacek does wonderful as Carrie.A good teenage type film with a great cast! 23 years later there was a sequel which was fairly good, but nowhere as good as this one! Spacek and Laurie teamed up together again in the film "The Grass Harp" with former "Gimme A Break" T.V. star Nell Carter.

Summary: Carrie--GREAT
Review: I would just like to say that I really like this movie. When I first saw it, I hadn't seen the beginning, I always ending up seeing it the same place I would the last time...So I rented it...the beginning...wow....you have to see the beginning. I really liked it because it shows how mean people can really be, and I know what it's like not to fit in. Sissy Spacek gives an outstanding performance. I heard she was nominated for an Academy Award or Oscar for her performance, BUT SHE LOST!!! she should have won!...This movie just shows you one of the many ways anger and repressed feelings can manifest. Rent this, buy it, you won't be disappointed.
