Summary: Rob Zombies directorial debut!
Review: In House 0f 1000 Corpses a group of horror buffs are on a trip searching for an infamous doctor, who mutilaited bodies like Leatherface.Much of the movie is in the vain of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but it's kind of a modern version, gore nudity, profanity, graphic violence. A pretty good movie, may be to weird for some tastes.

Summary: Rob Zombie Owes Me 10 bucks
Review: This was the most horrible movie I have seen in the last 10 years. It was boring and painful to sit through, even though the running time is under an hour and a half. Stick to music and cartoons, Mr. Zombie. Not everyone can make a movie.

Summary: zombie fan
Review: I am a big advocate of rob zombie and even praised the idea of a rob zombie film but this movie is the most unoriginal piece of garbage i have ever seen and i enjoy B type horror movies that are considered bad movies. Gigli is startin to sound real good about now that being said ROB ZOMBIE RULES.....except in movies.
unoriginal plot.....teens going offroad to find a family full of cannibals and a disfigured guy that wears a mask...sound familiar? Kill Me now.

Summary: Oh please, this is not a 4 or 5 star movie AT ALL!!!
Review: Give me a break. The only part of this movie that was interesting was the last 20 minutes when you get to see the catacombs. The first hour or more is boring and stupid. It is Rob Zombie's style to mix hillbillies, carnie folk, and some disturbing aspects. The only "cult" thing about it is that Rob Zombie did it. If anyone else were to have done it...you probably would not have seen it at the theater...it would have gone straight to video like many other B, C, D or F horror movies. Worth renting just to see it and say, "ya I saw it, big deal," but definetly not one to have amongst your DVD collection...unless you picked it up at Blockbuster for $1.50, even then.

Summary: BEHOLD-----------------FISH BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Rob Zombie is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am utterly sick and tired of all the brainless and unoriginal "Scream" wannabees out there (there are too many to even name any titles - just walk into any chain video store and look in the horror section).

House of a 1,000 corpses is probably the best horror film (in the traditional haunted house, ghost story, slasher film genre) to come along in a decade. This film, the brainchild of Rob Zombie, truly is an artistic triumph. There is real depth and density to the images Zombie has created.

I can watch this film again and again and always experience something new. There is such a tremendous attention to detail. The characters, sets, music, costumes, everything in it is clearly the result of a focused vision - and NOT the by-product of ten Hollywood Executives trying to figure out what will "sell".

I applaud Zombie for his vision and artistic creativity. He clearly is a terrific filmaker (to be honest, the main problem with his film could be that it is just too good a horror film - people don't know how to react to something that is this strong - and make no mistake - this IS strong, scary stuff.).

Anyway, all I can say is I hope Rob himself reads this review, if he does: PLEASE KEEP MAKING FILMS ROB!!!!!!!!!! WE'RE ALL BEHIND YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Been there, done that... only more boring
Review: I think my title post pretty much describes this snore fest, notice not "gore fest". Gore? What gore? I know ol Rob was paying homage to campy old movies, but gawd man, come up with at least a new angle. This is a direct "rip-off" of Texas Chainsaw franchise and some zombie movies. All done before and not even remotely scary. Thank god I got to borrow this from my library, but in my estimation is a complete waste of my time, money and the DVD is was printed on. I fast forwarded so often (because it was BORING), It only destroyed about an hour of my life.

I also am not one of those snobs. I love B movies and horror movies, but this was just a plain waste of time.

I WANT MY TIME BACK!!!

Summary: Disappointing
Review: Really poor. Clearly, Rob Zombie was trying way too hard to try to show he knew some film techniques and he went way overboard with them. The last 15 minutes were just over-the-top ridiculous, with some brand new monster coming out of nowhere. When the DVD's main menu commentary is the highlight of the product you've got a real problem. See Wrong Turn instead.
