Summary: PRACTICALLY A SNUFF FILM
Review: I cannot describe to you how bad this film is. I am limited to only1000 words in this review so I cannot slam it as much as I wouldwish.

Part 2 ended with Jason being macheted in the shoulder andpart 3 picked up the next day (Saturday the 14th). Jason was thendefeated by being axed in the head (and looked completely differentthan he did in part 2. In this movie we pick up the day after part 3(Sunday the 15th) and Jason once again looks completelydifferent.

But it isn't just the storyline in this one thatstinks. Nothing at all is even remotely scary. It's all so tame andeven quite appalling to look at. The lighting is terrible. You cannotmake out a single thing and each scene looks dank and dark. Andwatching teen after teen get butchered for no reason becomes so horridand numbs you so much you just want to be sick.

But this film isthe pits. I wish Joseph Zito made it in 2.35:1 like part 3. But itain't. Part 3 was the best of the first 4. But this one should beforgotten.

The DVD is cut heavily and is in utterly terrible mono(why, why did they do this?) and is undermatted at 1.78:1 instead ofthe theatrical 1.85:1.

Summary: Almost as good as pt. 7!
Review: The movie starts where pt.3 ended. The paramedichs move Jason to the morgue. But then things starts happening. The movie is starring Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis. And Jason does some great killings in this one. It's scary and even if it's not an original storyline, it's great! This was supposed to be the last movie in the series, but then someone decieded to raise some money. Watch out for the DVD release coming soon!

Summary: great movie
Review: What was supposed to be the last movie of the series(thank god it wasn't)is one of the best and goriest of the series a lot of kills and blood also introduced Tommy Jarvse who ends up saving himself and his sister from Jason and kills him(for the moment)Jason will be back in part 6. this was ok the acting was ok the fx were great and the make-up for Jason was next to part 7 the best I've seen. some sex and drugs and a guy who tries to hunt Jason down and kill him in revenge for the death of his sister(from I'm guessing his sister wasin one of the earlyer movies but I'm not sure) any way he fails and gets killed by Jason(he should have never have left home) all in all a good movie and the actor playing Jason did a good job but he can't match Kane Hodder as Jason.

Summary: The most frightening FRIDAY of them all!
Review: After the disappointing if entertaining PART 3 (which was plagued by the kind of "bright" lighting that destroys any sense of terror), director Jospeh Zito came on board to deliver this delightfully downbeat and particularly nasty entry in the series, which at the time (somewhat obviously!) was meant as THE FINAL CHAPTER.

Not only is the film consistently frightening and disturbing (thanks largely to Zito's gritty and very dark vision), it's competently written and very well acted, at least as far as "stalk 'n' slash" movies go! Crispin Glover hints at what a diverse and fine actor he would become (although he seems to have disappeared now!), and Kimberly Beck's performance as the heroine is extremely gutsy and realistic, and along with PART 2's Amy Steel is the most impressive of all 9 movies.

Zito's decision to hide Jason for the majority of the movie also pays big dividends, as he suddenly becomes a terrifying figure, brimming with brutality and immense strength (unlike the lumbering psychopath of PART's 2 & 3). Ted White does a good job in the role (even if he didn't really enjoy it), and Tom Savini's return to the series brings out some of the best make-up and gore sequences ever seen in a horror movie. The only disappointing thing therefore, is that Paramount in their infinite wisdom, are not releasing the DVD in "UNCUT" form - that and the fact that there's no extras (apart from the Theatrical Trailer probably!). At least however, the series is getting released on DVD and in widescreen too.

My only fear however, is that after releasing all the movies on DVD, there will then be a "Special Limited Collectors Box Set" with tons of extras and in "UNCUT form too! We'll just have to wait an see.

For now though, THE FINAL CHAPTER comes recommended as one of the best "slasher" movies of them all, and for me at least, the finest of the FRIDAY THE 13th series. Roll on JASON X!

Summary: Final Chapter? Really...
Review: Back in 1984, you really thought this was it! However, as we know now it wasn't, good thing though, the best was yet to come (Part VI) and the worst (Part V). The Final Chapter is more of the same slash, slice and dice, yet we were to see Make-up guy Tom Savini destroy the monster that he had created. Who would have every suspected that a child would cause Jason's demise in this installment. Savini used the machete from "Dawn of the Dead" to have, then young Corey Feldman, deliver the devestating blow to Jason's head. The rest of the movie is just the usual waiting game as each teen is singled off and slaughtered, but it's always fun to see the new and inventive ways Jason learns to kill people. Although a mediocre chapter at best, it is still essential to have this, the final chapter, in your collection. Now, on the other hand, Part V: A New Beginning...

Summary: This is the FINAL chapter!!!! Yeah Right. Only 6 more to go.
Review: Don't be fooled by the name. It's NOT the Final Chapter. Yet, it is still a great 5 star movie. Jason "dies" in this movie. This is one of my favorites in the Friday the 13th series. If your'e a fan, get it. If you have a DVD player, pre-order the DVD version for better quality. NOTE: If your'e wondering why I said 6 more to go and not 5, it's because next April Jason X is comming out.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST IN THE SERIES
Review: IF YOU HAVE READ MY OTHER REVIEWS OF THIS SERIES, YOU WILL HAVE NOTICED THAT I ALWAYS CALL THIS SERIES CORNY AND FUN, THIS ONE IN THE SERIES IS DIFFERENT THOUGH. FULL OF ALL STAR ACTORS, SOME SCARY MOMENTS, AND A NOT TO SHABBY PLOT, THIS FILM IS GOOD FUN AND STANDS OUT FROM OTHERS IN THE SERIES.

Summary: Freaky Friday the 13th!
Review: This movie is just plain freaky. The atmosphere of Camp Crystal Lake is gloomy. I love how Jason returns from the hospital in set for new teens to slaughter. The chase scene in this film is a classic. I advise to to buy this masterpiece and consider it to be the best sequel in the series. Long live Jason.
