Summary: Vampires with poor character development...
Review: The vampire Lestat has been sleeping for decades, but he is awakened by something familiar that he enjoys, music. The music was once a part of him when he was mortal, and now he wants to reap the forbidden fruit among vampires, fame. There is also something darker that awaits him when he seeks fame through music that he so much wants. Queen of the Damned is a vampire story that seems forced through awkward character development and loose justifications of the characters needs and wants. At the end, Queen of the Damned leaves the audience with an unsatisfying cinematic experience due to poor demonstration of the characters.

Review: If I were Anne Rice I would not be relating this movie to her book. The hollywoood people have yet again ruined a brilliant masterpiece by ignoring facts in both Queen of the Damned and The Vampire Lestat. Nowhere is there a real resemblance at all. It is a real shame when the Hollywood guys get a hold of a good book and do a poor job adapting to the screen (which seems to be the norm). So do us all a favour in hollywood guys: start making real movies from books and stay true to the plot.

Review: It has its flaws of course and it doesn't go along with the book but who cares! It's an awesome flick that deserves a 5! This plot seems better than the original book written by Rice. I always like the romance and Jesse and Lestat are an excellent couple anyways!

Review: Jamas llegara a ser tan interesante en fotografia, ni tan apegada al libro como lo fue Interview with a Vampire, y lo digo siempre recordando que cuando compraras Interview con el libro encuentras muchas faltas.Queen of the Damned no solo se aleja grotescamente de descripciones, sino que ademas cambia grandes detalles de la historia. SE elimina la aparicio de Louis, Pandora es horrible, Armand es una comidilla y Marious es deprimente. La actuacion de Aaliyah es un asco. La pelicula vale solo para los fans de Korn, porque hay un pequeño cameo donde sale John Davis, ademas de que el compuso las 5 canciones que canta nuestro Pseudo Lestat. Las canciones se acercan mucho a la poesia (me refiero a la lirica), pero la voz de Jonathan suena tal vez muy ruda para las letras que esta cantando. Las canciones las canta Jonathan, solo en la pelicula, en el soundtrack las cantan diferentes cantantes: Marilyn Manson, Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), Jay Gordon (Orgy), Wayne Static (Static X) y David Draiman (Disturbed). Vean la pelicula y oigan el soundtrack y busquen las letras, asi veran a que me refiero.

Ok, eeh, am I a complete moron, or has this movie completely copied "Interview with the Vampire", made everybody gay, and put MTV in there as well`? Hmm, "Aaalyyyaaaaajaa!" (or, yahoo as some prefer..))
The loaded with extra's DVD doesn't help this movie. The movie stinks helped by helpful ingredients such as bad acting, and terrible directing and camera angle solutions. Some of the acting is actually so terrible, that it's quite humourous actually. Too bad the family of Aaalyyyaaaaajaa didn't see this movie, before they approved it.... A one, and a two, and a: "Aaalyyyaaaaajaa!"

Summary: Ahhhh, the flaws...
Review: To start off with, it was an excellent movie. I'm not saying it wasn't. But, there are too many errors they have made, especially if they are going to continue making remaining Vampire Chronicle books into movies. That is the major error. They killed off a couple of the major characters, added plot twists that make no good sense, and fragged up the ending. grr.. sometimes I wonder. The music is one of the major surprises to come off the film, and I'm proud to have been a fan of most of the singers, and of Jonathan Davis before it came out.
If they plan on making another movie, they have many knots to untangle before proceeding. I hope the next writers have a little more sense when it comes to allowing for sequels.
Stuart Townsend is a great Lestat, very yummy and better than Tom Cruise any day. Alliyah was wonderful, and I wish they had the opportunity to expand on her roll. The movie came out as a generally funny and overall good film, with enough action to suit me.

Summary: Good quality but lacking
Review: It wasn't faithful enough to the book the cast was excellent especially Aaliyah as the dark queen of vampires from the moment she arrived.It was good but it missed out the big and small things for example the red haired vampire has a twin which in the book is quite important.
I found this film of high-quality with a first-class cast the camera angles are good the plot as well but again the book is superior.

Summary: Read the books ... Please!
Review: This movie proves that writers just don't get any respect in Hollywood! As an adaptation, this movie is below sub-par, its attrocious, ridiculous, and unbelievably stupid! Let me take a moment and point out some of the problems...
1) Marius didn't make Lestat!
2) Lestat is a blonde!
3) Jessie is never Lestat's girlfriend! She's not even that young!
4) David Talbot is a lot older then protrayed in the film and isn't afraid of much!
5) Akasha wasn't turned to marble, she was so powerful her skin (and only her skin) looked marble-like!
6) Maharet had a sister (Mahare), where is she? Speaking of which, where were Armand, David, and all the other "Ancients".
7) And since when did vampires get so messy when drinking blood? Is it only possible to portray vampires if they have blood dribbling down their chins!
I could go on and on, but in short, this movie is a sad and pathetic attempt to bring a wonderful story to life. The director even had the ego to claim that his retelling is better! BETTER? UGGHH! Overall, read the books. Learn about the real, literary, Lestat and I guarantee that you'll fall in love with the Vampire Chronicles and burn this movie adaptation anytime you see it.

Summary: Not a newcomer, but enjoyed the movie all the same
Review: The only thing that is keeping me from giving the full five stars to this is that having been a follower of the Chronicles since first reading all three of the originals in 1992, I found some things left out and others not touched on a little more. But the movie still managed to pull me into it which I will honestly admit that I didn't believe it would do. I think that Lestat was played nicely by Stuart Townsend. In my mind, he brought out my envision of him. Never mind the fact that the hair color and such was off because it never really was about that. At any rate. Would I recommend the movie? Yes, of course.

Review: im not a big vampire movie fan..but for some reason(mainly Lestat..lol) i really liked this movie. i didnt care for the music at all..and Aalyiah had about 15 minutes of screen time when i thought she was the main character..but i really enjoyed it!! And even though Lestat is dead..he still looks soooooo damn hot!! yum...eye candy...lol.
