Summary: Better than I expected!
Review: Okay. The first one absalutely stunk. I know things were diferent back then, but it really stunk! I thought I was in for the big time with this one, in a bad way! But I really liked it! This dvd has great features! It's a lot of fun playing around on it. And the movie was awsome! It really creeped me out! Famke Johnson was amazing in it. I know I spelled her name wrong, at leaste I probably did. This is a great dvd. Get it, get it, get it!

Review: This movie was so good from the beginning to the very end. I really dont know why this movie didnt do well. I never even heard of this before. It is about 6 strangers who were invited to a party. If they stay until dawn they each win 1 million dollars, the only catch is they have to live. Trust me this movie is excellent.

Summary: Strange..
Review: I watched this movie at night, lights out,and i was not scared but a little spooked. I did, however, find this movie to be very strange but a lot better than these so-called 'scary' movies that are out..(I.E. Blair Witch) It's about a Haunted House (You guessed that already..hehe) and people go to it to stay there over night and get money. I have one simple, simple question..If all the murders were down in the basement then WHY did they keep on going down there? They would have been a lot safer upstairs than in the basement...who goes wandering in the basement after somebody's been murdered down there? But,it was very enjoyable and i recommend it to people who like movies such as this one. Slightly bloody, nothing to,to terrible. (people with slightly weak stomaches be a lil' careful while watching this..)

Summary: Very Bad Taste
Review: This movie would have been the laughing stock of Vincent Price if he had starred in this one. If he were alive today he would have not even endorsed such a bad choice of a movie. Dont waste your money on even renting this one. If I could have Id given this movie a negative star.

Summary: House on Haunted Hill
Review: The recent remake of the 1958 classic "House on Haunted Hill" isn't near as good as the original, but it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. In "House on Haunted Hill", a neglected wife plans on having her birthday party inside the walls of an abandoned asylum where the most gruesome mass murders occured. The guest list her husband made out for the party was deleted by a ghost, who invited decendants of the workers that survived the tragedy in the old asylum. Steven Price, the owner of Price amusement parks, offers the five invited each a check for $1,000,000 if they can live through the night. If you love good scares and a very creative story, you should check this movie out. Also, if you are a fan of blood and gore, this movie is for you.

Summary: Good Premise, Bad Execution
Review: THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL features several recognizable, normally-good actors and is a remake of a classic horror film. So why is it so bad? I found myself wondering this throughout the movie as I watched it go from a potentially good premise to a complete and utter mess. The film starts of well, with Price as a wealthy lover of thrills terrifying Lisa Loeb and James Marsters on his new attraction. Later, five strangers meet up with Price and his wife for a party, although nobody seems quite sure about the guest list. That's where the confusion starts. Evelyn decides to have a party at Hill House. Somehow, the house knows this and decides it would be funny to change the guest list and invite descendants of those who didn't die in the fire years ago. But how would the house know that Evelyn was throwing a party? And how exactly does a house send out invitations? Even if this made sense, the plot is never fully developed. Why couldn't it simply have been, Price makes a bet to see if they can stay for $1 million, and then everything goes wrong? Throwing in the undeveloped subplot just ties down the action and suspense. The idea of a husband and wife playing at killing each other could have been done well, but it clashed with the other plot concerning the haunted house. We aren't supposed to know if the house or Price or Evelyn is the one killing, but it's pretty obvious from the get-go that the house isn't so innocent. The fact that people were killed there in a fire pretty much tells the audience that there's something spooky going down. Is it all some huge coincidence that the house has invited strangers over at the same night Evelyn and Price are toying with each other? Now, most of these questions could have been ignored with good characters or satisfying suspense sequences. But most of the characters are annoying or underdeveloped. Chris Kattan's character especially, with his abuse of sarcasm and timidness, irritated me. Some die before we ever get a chance to realize what they're all about. The final villain isn't frightening at all-instead, it looks like a big cloud of dust. And what is it supposed to be? This is never explained, nor is the relationship between the deaths and fire years ago with what's happening now. A couple of scenes are unintentionally funny. When the ghost of Chris Kattan appeared to save the day, I couldn't help but crack up uncontrollably. And when the "big ball of dust" or whatever it was formed into the face of one of the first victims, it didn't work at all. There are one or two good death sequences and a few surprising twists, but they can't overcome the inanity of the overall film. This is probably the worst film of 1999.

Summary: UHH . . . OKAY
Review: PERSONALLY, I THOUGHT THIS MOVIE WAS GOING TO BE A DUPLICATE OF "THE HAUNTING",THE MOVIE WITH LIAM NEESON AND KATHERINE ZETA-JONES, NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT "THE HAUNTING" WAS MUCH WORSE THAN MY EXPECTIONS. BUT "HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL" WASN'T THAT BAD. IN FACT I LIKED THE MOVIE. I ADMIT THAT THE ENDING WAS STUPID WHEN ADI LARTER AND TAYE DIGGS LAUGH AT THE END. I PERSONALLY WOULD HAVE LIKED IT IF THEY SPACED OUT UNTIL THE END OF THE MOVIE. BUT EVEN IF I DIDN'T LIKE THE ENDING, I LOVED THE FACT THAT CHRIS KATTAN SAVES THEM AT THE END.... I ALSO LOVED HOW THE GHOSTS DID THAT HYPERACTIVE SHAKE WITH THEIR HEADS. I KNOW IT'S A TAKE-OFF FROM "JACOB'S LADDER," BUT IT HELPED THE MOVIE SO MUCH! IF MY 7 YEAR-OLD NEPHEW, WHO CANNOT RIDE A ROLLER COASTER, ISN'T SCARED OF THIS MOVIE, THEN I KNOW THAT THIS MOVIE ISN'T SCARY,PERIOD. BUT THE COOLEST PART WAS THE MAIN SONG "SWEET DREAMS" BY MARILYN MANSON.

Summary: Let the games... begin? Ha ha! Pathetic!
Review: Well... let's just face it... Hocus Pocus scared me more! Oh,my gosh! this movie was so bad and insane! It's a disgrace to mankind! It's even worse than Anime`! Geoffrey Rush seems more like James Woods! By the way, Dr. Vannacut was actually Geoffrey Rush as Vincent Price! You find that on the DVD after-the-credits footage! Okay, so you're thinking, why would the spirits of the house (a useless BLOB, ohhh! SCARY! Yeah right!) stay inside the house? Has the asylum been abandoned for what ... like 68 years? wouldn't it have been torn down? Whgy don't they remake the blob and king kong by making the shadowy thing climb the 100 story asylum? why would they make it that high? that must have been expensive. Wouldn't they have more reliable staff and more than 53 patients in this godforsaken ridiculous excuse for a scary asylum? Be a human... don't watch this ... piece of Hollywood junk! ...
