Review: The lost boys is one of the scariest, most suspensful movies Iv'e seen in my life. The casting was terrific, and the movie itself was great. I still can't get over the great special effects and eerie music. This is one movie that you don't want to miss!

Summary: A Pleasant Surprise
Review: As another viewer pointed out, this movie came out in 1987. I believe only those who seen the movie in the theaters when it came out can give this movie a proper review. I personally did see this movie when it came out in the theaters. I did not know what to expect not seeing the reviews and as a result experienced one of the best movies created in the 1980's. I believe it is a must see for vampire fans.

Review: I remember watching this when I was little and not supposed to, that of course made it even better. <smirk> The plot is classic. The music is eerie and timely. The acting - quirky. Plenty of comic relief, and good special effects. Sink your teeth into this flick!

Review: I have little tolerance for movies with a great cast and a great story to tell that don't know what to do with it. This could have been great, but instead turns into a video comic book. It's 3 stars are by virtue of the fine premise, acting and bloodletting. To see how great this film might have been track down a copy of "Near Dark."

Review: The Lost Boys is truly one of the most watchable movies of the 80's. Other movies from the decade can not be watched twice and if they are it can result in sleep or a headache. The role Kiefer Sutherland played in this film was made for him. The story and plot are very good. And this is the only good movie a certain Corey Feidman has ever made

Review: Joel shumacher is not a great director but 'The Lost Boys'is a pretty good horror movie and certainly his best realisation. A film dedicated to youth, with a good casting, an original story, nice scenes and a lot of humour ! This is what 'The Lost Boys' are... a 80's pop corn movie at the top, and an intelligent horror film. Waiting for a remake with better FX... as each cult movie deserve it !

Review: A very well done movie! With really beautiful actors, amazing songs, modern elements, and like many already said it, very modern for it's time. Two reasons for people who doesn't like this movie: -They don't have taste for what is good on life, OR - They don't know this movie was released in 1987, YES, 1987. An inovattion for the 80s. It has amazing aspects, much better than any of the stupids teenager- movies made nowadays. THUMBS UP FOR THE BEST MOVIE!

Review: I'm not one of those who criticizes other films because other people liked them, but I HATED this film. I rarely hate a film. I even liked MAD CITY. But this...this is not cinema! This is filming people and adding bad dialogue! Quite obviously a no-star movie and THE worst I have ever seen. I'm sorry if I offend those die-hard lovers of the film, but that's my opinion.

Summary: 80s cinema at its best
Review: Joel Schumacher hasnt directed any realy good films recentlybut if you take a trip back in to his early work you will come acrossthis little gem. A story about vampires teroriseing a small town may not seem like the most original plot in the world but it is one of the best written and made films of the 80s. Kiefer Sutherland stands out as the evil leader in a gang of motorcycle punks while the rest of the cast are so good it goes without saying. An excellent soundtrack featuring classic 80s music. It can scare and humour in equal measure and some scenes are pretty gory. A fantastic film not to be missed.

Review: Sleep all day party all night.....it's fun to be a Vampire. That is the essence of this movie. It shows the down side of being a vampire as well as the good bits. The story is about fighting for your right to be who you wanna be...plus it's got Kiefer Sutherland and Corey Haim in it which is also a bonus!
