Summary: Please dont buy this trash!
Review: This movie contains the worst attempts at acting I have ever seen. The story was equally as horrible. Almost the entire movie is spent with these three idiots arguing about where they should go, instead of getting there. The directors did have a good idea though: "Lets make a cheap movie, hype it up via the internet, and see how many cattle we can get to come see our movie for 7 bucks a pop". It was one damn good marketing scheme, and made them tons of money; whether or not it was their plan to do so, they certainly do not deserve it.

Review: a fair horror film at best, the blair witch project is cheap ripoff of "The Evil Dead", the original spooks in the woods movie. forget this and see Sam Raimi's masterpiece (a.k.a. the ultimate experience in grueling terror)

Review: I rented this movie thinking- Finally! I get to see this 'blair witch project' the big hype of the year! Well, it really dissapointed me a whole lot. I mean these three people go into the woods to make a documentary video thing. They hear wierd stuff at night and they get scared.. But when u see it- it isn't that scary at all! The so called scary part only lasts for like 20 seconds. The movie just hangs in the middle it doesn't finish right. A question leaves in your head- Huh? What the heck just happened? The camera didn't stay still and that bugged me the whole time even though they say they did that to make it more realistic. but guess what? It wasn't that realistic and the whole idea of going to the woods and filming stuff was corny+ it didn't make any sense. I mean get real. Who would be filming stuff when a person's missing! Or the time when wierd noises are coming up to you! I would probably run for my life Without the cameras and stuff. Who wouldn't? Overall, i would just like to say this movie was toooooo over hyped! I have been more impressed with 'Goosebumps'! you should rent it from a video store and just watch it once. You would be wasting a whole lot of money if you actually bought it! I really hope my review help you people lot~

Summary: poorly thought out - a very bad movie
Review: Gosh darned it, I was hoping for a truly good, intelligent psychological horror film from non-establishment independent film makers with a new idea. All I found was a story with incredible potential, completetly ruined by characters who lack: 1)intelligence (follow the stream, stupid!) 2)real human characteristics in moments of extreme fear (who keeps filming when being hunted down by a witch?) 3)a vocabulary (swearing in almost every sentence) 4)strength (what a bunch of little whiners they are!)Do not buy this movie, unless you need to see for yourself how bad a movie can be and still get a good review, just because it has a reputation of being produced by people not part of the "Hollywood Establishment".

Review: The Blair Witch Project was with out a doubt THE biggest waste of 2 hours ever! Like I really wanted to listen to a bunch of Whiney college brats tromp through the woods for 2 hours! How about learning to READ a MAP! WHINE, WHINE catfight, catfight Totally stupid!

Summary: Three ways to look at it.
Review: There are three ways to look at this film. It just depends upon the type of person you are. Scary, terrifying and suspenseful, horrifying ending for those who have active imaginations. Not scary, but innovative, original and different from the usual slasher teen movies. A good study in psychological break-down under high stress for those with a realistic, but thoughtful approach to life. Not scary, but rather boring, stupid and a waste of money for those who require logic and reason to enjoy a SUPERNATURAL movie. Hello-o-o. Duh! For me, the movie was terrifying and I had to sleep with the lights on afterwards. Towards the end when Heather and Mike are running through the house, I was really afraid of what might happen to them. The last scene did me in completely. I won't watch this movie again. It was too scary the first time. Plus, I hate camping so I could sympathize with the cursing and foul language. Heather needed a good, thorough slapping. I would have pushed Mike into the stream. Josh is the only character I actually liked. But what I really enjoy now are the spoofs that are being done of this movie. No those are hilarious! I think this movie will earn cult classic status in a few years. Think Night of the Living Dead or Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Summary: Scary, but requires imagination (i.e., not a slasher movie).
Review: This movie is scary and very realistic. However, it is not a slasher movie -- it requires putting yourself in the shoes of the person (i.e., imagination). Unfortunately, most viewers do not have that anymore. The quality of the film is quite good for an "amateur" film. The transfer to DVD is excellent. The sound effects are actually quite realistic. Despite the means to achieve them, it sounds like Maryland hikes. I have hiked a lot of woods and some Maryland woods actually sound different, especially in the fall/winter, from many other woods. Don't believe me? Try it. When you have hiked in 15 different states, then see if your opinion changes. The scenery is realistic -- just what you see on hikes. It's not the glamorous shots many expect to see. However, I have yet to see any camera / format that can do any woods or mountains justice. IMAX comes closest when viewed on a large 40+ foot screen.

Review: If this movie was supposed to look like a true story they messed up so many times first of all you see heather putting on her lipstick but talking at the same time, then when heather and jim or whatever his name is are sitting down and no one else is there the format switches. This movie bored me to death it was not scary at all and it gets me mad that anyone could have did this. The actors had no true talent at all. The only reason anybody saw this is because they were mislead by it pretending to be a true story. THUMBS DOWN

Summary: Very Realistic
Review: First things first i agree the movie wasnt all that good, it did lack alot in the beginning. But what it lacked in the beginning it made up for when the college students got to the woods. This movie isnt like other horror movies, where the charcter isnt scaried and is trying to kill the witch/vampire etc. In The Blair Witch Project the characters are very realistic meaning they act like what we would act like if something like that was happening to us. So the moive doesnt seem fake.
