Summary: What did they spend the money on when making this movie?
Review: I totally disliked this movie. It was not as scary as it has been cracked up to be and they shook the camera so frequently that I barely made it to the bathroom to be sick once the movie was over. It is an overrated movie, but what can you expect for so little money?

Review: This was movie was a great original idea, with the suspense building right to the very end, definetaly gave me the chills, and I'm one to balk at every horror film out there, but the one thing that almost gave me seizures was the shaky camera work, I had to move right to the back of the theatre for the ending because my head hurt so much trying to follow the shaky action. if you haven't seen this, trust me sit as far back as possible.

Summary: Great idea, but...
Review: This was a very original movie and idea. HOWEVER... I should have taken Dramamine before going to see it. There was another comment in here about these students being Film students. I myself studied film and I think a 5-year-old would have better control of the camera. Think of your audience, for crying out loud! Not to mention half the time you were staring at the ground while they walked. Mmm... boy, did that keep my attention. Ha!! It was too hyped up for what it turned out to be.

Review: The only thing I really liked about this video was the concept of three pretentious student film makers getting lost in the woods and eventually meeting a gruesome demise. The concept, however, is not anything we haven't seen before. "Cannibal Holocaust" for one, an Italian horror film made a a long time ago. The execution of the film was irritating but I am glad that a film like this was made. I just wish they kept it a secret a little bit longer.

Review: I went and saw this movie once and couldn't sleep the next 2 nights... Me and my friends don't go camping anymore either!!!! One of the scariest films in decades...

Summary: an extremely taunting and original movie! I LOVED IT!!!!
Review: The one thing that made this movie original and genuine, is because of two things, A) a very different type of movie, and B) a technique only used once before in the movie "ALIEN." In the entire movie, the alien was never shown but for only once when it was only shown for exactly 2 seconds. so it's your mind that scares you not the random music and popping out of closets. That is what makes this movie special. but it is also what some people don't understand!

Review: I wouldn't waste my time on this movie. It was horrible. Scary? Not! Even with a vivid imagination, this doesn't even come close. I was glad that I saw it at the matinee so that I didn't waste full price. Rated R for language, not horror. Wait for it to come out on HBO or Showtime.

Summary: I'm never going out in the woods at night again!!!
Review: The previews scared me to death. When I walked to the mall along one night to see this I was ready to be chilled to death and got more than that as I sat there anxiously awaiting for the next scare. The photography made it all the more frightening and eerie, especially that final shot in the house which made me afraid to go to the bathroom once I got back to my dorm room about 11:30 the night I saw it. My heart pounded when Heather dashed in the woods, screaming at something she heard over and over in the dark. Josh's disappearance gave me the willies as night came upon Heather and Mike. Their stumbling onto the crumbling house set the stage for more thrills and fright as I've never seen or felt before. I can hardly wait to go see it again and see what I missed the first time, as the audience was so immature and couldn't keep their mouths shut while the movie played. They were too busy necking and mimicking what was going on and kept others from enjoying it. My hometown in North Carolina has similar goings-on in the woods around the town and I wonder if some scenes were even filmed there. But they weren't. I was more affected personally than psychologically by this film and have not seen anything so creepy or terrifying since "Scream." I'm surprised freak-master Wes Craven couldn't come up with something this horrifying and extremely realistic to a point. The photography, sound, and editing are among the best I've seen and heard in years in scary flicks. Sometimes you don't need a script to make a blockbuster film such as this. The music, kept to a strong minimum, is severely haunting and stalks the human conscience, but this film lingers in the heart and mind long after the final fatal frame of film flashes across the screen and Heather's demise becomes imminent. I was so scared to even walk back to campus that late. Atlanta Highway isn't the prettiest road in the nation. But I jumped and flinched at every sound I heard clear into the night and could not go to sleep without seeing that final shot of one of the boys standing in the house and Heather screaming her lungs out of whack. I was still shaking when I woke up the next morning and saw that it was close to time to go to church. Very few films have such a powerful effect on me and I doubt that another film of this nature or ultimate shock power can ever do it again. I can't wait until my own copy arrives on video in time for Halloween. Until then I'm gonna go to the mall and see it again so I can see what I missed the first time.

Review: This has to be the worst piece of junk that I have ever seen. This movie is so bad. It is in no way scary, there is no blood, and the acting is horrible. As if; like I would actually buy this video. I saw it at the movie theatres on opening night because I was suckered by all the hype. The only reason that it is rated R is because of the profanity. I can't believe that there are people out there who are crazy enough to buy this lame crap. Don't waste your money. Believe me, it is not worth it.

Review: My wife and I saw this movie last night (9/11/99), and we thought it was actually a true story!! To Hell with Freddie!! We had some killer nightmares over this one!! Ya wanna see something REALLY SCARY?? FORGET the TWILIGHT ZONE-- YOU'LL LOSE SLEEP OVER THIS ONE! LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON OR OFF, IT DON'T MATTER; THE BLAIR WITCH WILL GET YOU!!!!!
