Summary: great movie, much hype
Review: this film was smart, scary, and very well thought out. but don't let it fool you. this film is not a real story. all of it was the work of the two filmmakers from florida. there weren't ever any film students lost in the woods. though most of what happened to the actors did come as a shock even to them so we actually got real reactions which feeds the reality lie. excellent movie, i didn't leave scared, but as my sister and i talked about it on the way home and we started thinking about it, that is where the fear sets in.

Summary: The Worst Movie Ever Made
Review: Real horror fans should not get suckered in by the hype surrounding this "hip" movie. The truth is that it is not in the least bit scary. It barely even qualifies as a movie. Its more like a collection of footage about three dumb kids who get lost in the woods, and get frightened by unseen and unscary forces. Its hard to imagine how anyone could really be scared by this poor piece of cinema.

Summary: What's the big deal?
Review: This is one of the most boring movies I ever saw. After the first 20 minutes, it is the same thing over and over and over. Three kids walking around lost. Yeah, that's kind of sad, but the rest is just stupid. Apparently, all it takes to be an actor nowadays is the ability to cuss profusely with no style. This movie did not scare me at all, and I was extemely bored during most of it.

Summary: Well....
Review: Yes, I'll admit, it was scary, but an original premise? Sorry. Three words: The Last Broadcast.

Summary: A Strange, Wierd Masterpiece.
Review: "The Blair Witch Project" is a strange, wierd masterpiece that serves as an example of true horror filmmaking. What David Myrick and Eduardo Sanchez understand, is that it's not what we see that scares us the most, it's what we can't see. For moments we are left in total darkness, not knowing what's going on, and your heart is jumping. The camera work is also impressive. This is a movie that truly does understand the elements of fear. The ending is pure macabre and truly spellbinding! I have never seen such an effective ending. "The Blair Witch Project" is a great showing of craftsmanship and creativness. It's the best horror film since "The Exorcist."

Summary: Very Believable!!
Review: I watched this when it came on the Sci-Fi Channel and was impressed with the amount of detail taken to make it. Rather then rehash the movie, the producers build on the background and history of the story. The "historic" footage copied the style of the era that is was supposed to have been shot in. They even tented some film from the late 60s, early 70s to simulate the degrading of the dyes that cause the image to be mostly yellow. The entire show looked like something you would see on educational TV. If I hadn't known that it was fiction, I would have thought if was for real.

Summary: Universal Terror
Review: I've just watched the movie, and there is one thing I can absolutely garantee you: THIS IS THE BEST TERROR MOVIE YOU'LL EVER WATCH !!!

Its appealing is so universal (three young people lost in the woods hunted and haunted, by an evil witch) that it doesn't matter where you live or if you have ever been in a forest like that: You gonna dig the movie a lot !

Watch it or just don't talk to no one you know, cause you gonna be the only person yourself know that didn't watch the movie...

UNMISSIBLE !!!!

Summary: This movie was stupid.
Review: I call it the Blair Witch Scam. All propaganda and no substance. They spent $30,000 to make the film, total. That includes film, processing, paying the actors, buying lunch for everybody, renting cars, etc. The distribution company then spends $10,000,000 to promote the film. They make a thousand prints of it and send one to every other theater in the country.

In short, the most profitable film ever made, but is it worth your $? I don't think so. And you won't want to watch it more than once. So skip buying the DVD.

Summary: You're kidding, right?
Review: Just what I said. Horrible movie (I was actually rooting for Heather's demise!) but great marketing...some university should offer a class in how this movie was marketed, because it did scam a great many people into seeing it. It is clever, but in a rather morbid way--we go to see it for the same reasons we stop to look at car accidents. Personally, I'm still trying to get my money back from the theatre, so you can keep the videos!
