Summary: Eighteen Minutes
Review: On my copy of The Blair Witch Project, there are fifteen minutes of commercials and trailers before the feature. Then, there are eighteen minutes where they discuss the topic of the title, The Blair Witch. After which we get over an hour of "We're lost", "The map", "Your Fault", "Go South", "The map", "We're lost", etc. And that voice of that girl! Argh!

Summary: Too much whining, not enough gore
Review: If you enjoy seeing snot running down the nose of an obnoxious college student as she whimpers in fear, buy this video. If you want to see hyped-up, trumped-up nonsense, with no basis in fact, but this video. If you want two goosebumps on a scale of five, buy this video. The companion piece is a total sham and a waste of time, money and viewer's neuronal connections...it's all bull, with not enough gore.

Summary: HORRIBLE!!! BORING!!! For kids who giggle at the F-word.
Review: I haven't met anyone over the age of fifteen who thought the movie was worth the time it took to see it. No plot; lots of yelling; mindless cussing and bickering.

I can't imagine what this movie's marketing firm could do with a GOOD movie?

Summary: Nothing lives up to hype, but it's still great
Review: Last night my wife and I watched the most controversial (and one of the most popular) films of the year: Blair Witch. And I have to see, it did not completely live up to my expectations, as few if any movies can truly live up to such hype. But it is still a great horror film, possibly the greatest of the '90s (a lame decade for the genre. I mean, come on: Scream and Scream 2?). I can see how some people were duped into thinking it was real, but by now it's impossible to believe that. (Maybe back in June). I do believe that too much time is wasted on the characters' fighting. And perhaps the characters could have been more...likeable. Heather was a real witch with a capital "B," Josh was all right but pretty much the generic, who-gives-a-damn-what-I-do-with-my-life "hippy" type (although I was impressed when he said, "I'm supposed to be at work tomorrow morning at nine"---so much for the so-called slacker work ethic!) I probably most identified with Mike, the guy who probably never really wanted to go in the first place and really *(&^)&( resents the fact that Heather only thought she knew how to read that damn map. Don't believe that the camera work will make you sick; it's really not that bad (like that video you made of last year's sorority winter ball is really watchable after six Coronas!) As far as that weird woman with the bible, how does she hold the key to whole thing? Is it something she says or does? (I need to watch again). Things really pick up towards the end...I only wish it could have gone on another ten seconds or so. Still, the desperate groping for some safety net in the dark was chilling...reminded me a bit of the end of Silence of the Lambs where Clarice is in the dark trying to shoot that guy. (Hey, now that I think about it, SILENCE is the best horror film of the '90s!) All in all, the ending just reeks of evil...just like the ending of such masterpieces as the first Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, and I Spit on Your Grave.

Summary: reminds me of childhood camping pranks
Review: this movie is just garbage it had good potential, was it suppose to be a comedy? or horror? there was nothing scary at all who ever saw this movie and got scared must be afraid of there own shadow. the documentary on the making was more entertaining then the movie. there also thinking about a sequel oh please just what we need more junk. the exorcist was 10 fold scarier.. 1/16 of a star should be the rating not 1 star.

Summary: 5 Stars To The Ad Agency
Review: The real psychological terror conjured by this film school offering is that there are still people out in the world that truly believe this "documentary" to be in fact, real. It was 75 minutes of three people arguing and five minutes of skin crawling fear, that if elaborated upon could have made this one of the best psychological fright films of all time. What little background information that is offered doesn't even jive with the final scene. This movie will, however, be reviewed for decades to come in business schools around the world. It has to be one of the best marketed and hyped films in the last 10 years.

Summary: As Scarey As Hell!
Review: This movie Creeped the hell out of me and wants me to see it over and over again

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: It Will Bring Back Horror Movies
Review: This was one of the smartest ideas in movie history. It also paid off really well. Even if it was slow at some parts in the middle with all of the fighting. It actually brought a dying genre back. It also got people thinking on new and creative ways for making movies. Good job Artisan.
