Rating: Summary: Finally a gay horror movie! Review: When you get a gay director and you have a demon chasing around a lot of half naked boys you get a gay horror movie which i haven't seen in a while, actually i haven't seen at all except maybe perhaps since THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS or THE VAMPIRE LOVERS (lesbian), but this is a modern day scary cool in your face "just because i'm gay doesn't mean i ain't gonna scare the [...] outta you movie. Kudos to Victor Salva!
Rating: Summary: Havent seen it but gunna buy it. Review: I like all kinds of movies, from casablanca to killer klowns from outer space. I'm writing this reveiw to all the people that thought the jeepers creepers movies were bad. First off all this isn't a dramatic movie thats going for academy awards, its a horror movie with bad actors, ok directing, lame diolauge and cheap thrills, but ITS A HORROR MOVIE! . I hate when people say horror movies with fake monsters, and cheap thrills are bad. People that do not like this movie are people that are a little too critical of movies. Of course the acting sucks, and of course it could never happen, but if you just watch it with out thinking about the diolauge and directing its scary as hell. Whenever I'm watching a real good movie like boogie nights or gladiator I always think about how great the shots are, or how great the diolauge is but that is what seperates horror movies and make them great. If you want a movie with great directing, great acting, and unpredictable polts, look under the drama section and rent a movie like jfk or lawrence of arabia(the best directing and maybe the best movie EVER), but if you wanna get a movie that you can get scared from, AND enjoy as much any dramatic academy award winning movie, get this. That is if you can watch a 1 and a half movie without being a crictal duech bag.
Rating: Summary: BEST OF THE SUMMER SEQUELS. Review: THIS SUMMER HAS BEEN CALLED "THE SUMMER OF SEQUELS" AND LOOKING AT THIS YEARS MOVIES IT'S EASY TO SEE WHY. BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD MOVIE TO WATCH THIS YEAR, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THIS. I'M BIASED I'LL ADMIT THAT, I THOUGHT "JEEPERS CREEPERS PART 1" WAS THE BEST HORROR MOVIE TO COME DOWN THE PIKE IN A LONG TIME. AND I EXPECTED A LOT FROM PART 2 AND IT DELIVERED THE GOODS ALL THE WAY. THERE'S MORE ACTION AND SUSPENSE IN THIS ONE AND LOT'S OF GOOD ACTING TOO.(YOU ACTUALLY GIVE A DARN* ABOUT THE KIDS ON THE BUS.) NOT TO EVEN MENTION THE FARMER WHO HAS HIS OWN REASONS FOR BEING ANGRY AT THE "CREEPER." (BUT SINCE I MENTIONED HIM) YOU'LL CARE ABOUT HIM TOO AND WHAT HIS MOTIVATIONS ARE. BOTTOM LINE, IF YOU WANT TO BE ENTERTAINED AND A LITTLE FRIGHTENED THIS IS YOUR MOVIE.
Rating: Summary: A very fun ride indeed. Review: I went to go see this movie twice because I loved it so much. It is so fun to go see at the movies. I loved it so much and is a great horror film. One of the best I've seen in a while. I haven't seen the first one yet but reading the reviews on here I'm gonna buy both of them. Great movie. One of my new favorites check it out.
Rating: Summary: WORST MOVIE EVER!!!! Review: WHEN YOU START OUT WITH A REALLY STUPID HORROR FLICK, WHY MAKE A SEQUEL??? THIS MOVIE IS EVEN MORE LAME THAN IT'S PREDICESOR!!! NO PLOT! NO SUBSTANCE! AND ALOT OF STUPID TEENS!!!...
Rating: Summary: I just want an explination...that's all Review: I think people have a tendency, I count myself among them, to sound heavy handed and grandiose when ranting about a movie we hated, like we were somehow smarter then the people who liked it. Like our opinion was not an opinion at all but an obvious fact that anyone with a brain could see. I know for a fact that I am not any smarter then the people who enjoyed this film. I know that because intelligent people, people much smarter then myself liked the first one and like this. Why? That's all I want to know. It is always fascinating when a film try's to illustrate whet the future would be like, what will the world be like 23 years in the future? Well first off school buses and cars will be the exact same, with the exception of a smaller cheerleading squad, without uniforms (don't get excited, I meant regular street cloths) and people's radios wont work. Was this 23 years after the first film? If so, the future is boring. There is the matter of night and day too. I always thought when it was day the sun would be out, at night it would be dark. Silly me. Turns out "the creeper" can throw deadly starts in the day, which don't connect with the tires until evening, or was that a dream? No she was awake....my the future holds some strange happenings. Then there is the matter of the creeper himself. It seems he needs to regenerate every 23 years so he goes about stalking potential "donors" for various organs he has worn out, Thing is he flies. When he needs new wings, and surely he does since his old ones have been run over, shot, crushed and harpooned. What does he do? Does he find someone with wings and eat there wings? Do people have wings? Perhaps in the future they do. In the end we jump another 23 years in to the future, again not much has changed, nothing ever does it seems, not in creeper land. This film made money. People went to see it. It was produced by...gag and wretch...Francis Ford Coppala (Apocalypse Now, The Godfather) I can only sit in shock and ask, yet again Why? Why God Why?. Is this some joke I am not in on? It must be.
Rating: Summary: Where's the Truck? Review: I liked the first movie - much more suspense and scarier. However, one of the scariest features of the first movie was the ugly truck - where was it? When the first movie ended and at the end of the credits, they showed the truck moving across the screen. I felt the truck was kind of a symbol for the movie and was looking forward to seeing it put to use again. I love horror movies and will buy the sequel to add to my collection - hopefully the 3rd edition will revert back to the first Creeper and what made it so successful.
Rating: Summary: not as much fun as the original Review: Victor Silva brings up another does of the creeper as a bus load of students is abandoned on a highway with the creeper. some good stuff but the actors handle their parts and the suspense and the horror just doesnt give you that feeling like the first movie did. if they make a # 3 it better be better then this drainer. some fun on a no-brainer level
Rating: Summary: a tale of two halves Review: Jeeper Creeper`s 1 was enjoyable enough and the suspense created played on natural emotions of curiosity and the fight/flight response. I also liked the progressive humour in the first. I was eager to see the follow up as the trailers suggested a darker, scarier movie. The sequel indeed started off darker and scarier and i was fairly impressed. The corn field was a great backdrop in similar vein to long road to nowehere in the first. However, all of a sudden the film changed into a half baked cookie dough of a film. The second half was predictable, unexciting and really disappointing. I know that this film had huge problems when being made and then released and that the film was edited several times. Sadly, it resulted in a real mixture of a film. The second half was so disappointing and contradicted much of the first film. I left the cinema thinking what was the director thinking of? Hopefully this dvd will come with an alternative ending. Or maybe the predicatble third installment will continue with complete disregards to the second installment.
Rating: Summary: A review of JC 2 Review: Back in Labor Day weekend of 2001, a little know horror flick by the name of Jeepers Creepers, stunned the world. The low-budgeted shocker broke Labor Day box-office records. It also introduced a new monster to the horror genre, "the Creeper." A sequel was inevitable. For those of you unfamiliar with the title monster; the Creeper is a winged demon; who gets to "eat" every 23rd spring for 23 days. The first Jeepers Creepers concealed this information for about the first hour. Giving the audience a great deal of genuine horror and suspense. Sadly, the 2nd Jeepers Creepers gives us the monster very early on. Which destroys a lot of suspense, and opportunities for scaring the viewer. We also don't really care that much about the title characters, making it far less effective when the creature strikes. The Creeper (while on awesome villain) is displayed way too much, taking away from his mystery. However, there are a few interesting elements. For example, there's a sub-plot involving a father (Ray Wise) hell-bent on getting revenge on the Creeper, for killing his son. This sub-plot is very dramatic and well thought out. There are also some really cool creature effects, exciting action-sequences, and a minimum of gore. The first Jeepers Creepers was a modern-day horror masterpiece. The second film is more of a creepy action flick. It has a chilling beginning and ending, but a flawed middle. Still, unlike Freddy and Jason, the Creeper has plenty of life left in him. A third installment will be welcomed.
