Rating: Summary: DON"T MISTAKE LACK OF TALENT FOR GENIUS. Review: I will limit this review to this one experience that I shared with my fellow paying film audience on opening night of Cabin Fever. When the deer comes back to life and tries to hoof the hero through the windshield. And the hero barely reaches the rifle on the seat next to him just in time to blow the murderous deer's brains out. The couple sitting just in front of me got up and exited the theatre. They were blanketed with compliments and a nice sustained applause. I can't be alone on this one...
Rating: Summary: Hilarious! Review: When I saw this in the theater I was thinking it was going to be another teeny bopper slasher flick like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer but I loved every minute of it. It's not scary in the least but I don't think it's supposed to be. It's more funny than anything and I laughed all the way through it. Even if you think it sucked it never got boring or slow. It's about a group of friends who go to a cabin in the woods on vacation and encounter a sick man who spreads a virus that makes your skin start rotting off. It's extremely gory and bloody but a lot of fun to watch. Those who gave it bad reviews I think are trying to take it too seriously. I took it as campy and funny more than anything. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a laugh.
Rating: Summary: should have been straight to video Review: The movie was poorly written. Very uneven. Barely anything happens then at the end there are all these twists that go no where. Horrible dialogue. How many times can the 'F' word be used? Maybe it was meant to be used as a drinking game? 'Chug when someone says 'F#$&!' Bizarre ending that just left me in a state of 'HUH?' A more lucid plot would have been nice. Good extras though, otherwise a completely non scary and dim witted horror movie. You're better off with the original Friday the 13th.
Rating: Summary: A better film when comapred to others... Review: I am sure you would have known about the story by now(as you might have got that from the other reviews...:-))..So,let me analyse this flick a little bit on its gruesome feast...This flick is about how a certain virus infects the people and makes them get unappealing skin conditions...Yeah you got it right ..it makes the people get skinned alive... Overall this movie has got the strings which will make you hover in the edge of the seat, even if not for the whole duration, for a sizable time frame. If you want to experience a change from the usual flicks in which the hero or the heroine ,most of the times it is the heroine, tries to escape from the monster after all of her friends are massacred by the chasing predator..this is the one.. Here you can see how the human beings mercilessly treat one another when their lives are at stake..
Rating: Summary: one star my... Review: The same people who gave this movie 1 star would probably give "Urban Legends" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" 5 stars, if you catch my drift... This movie was meant to be fun and it was meant to be gory and it succeeds on both counts. Some reviewers have wasted their time comparing it to "Seven," and other such movies, as if that's the standard that Eli Roth was or should have been trying to live up to. Others have derided the movie as being "corny" and the acting as "unrealistic." Of course it is, that's what makes it fun! This movie is very entertaining if you watch it for what it is, and aren't expecting some deep, psychological thriller... Most horror fans should find "Cabin Fever" enjoyable.
Rating: Summary: Don't even bother... Review: I couldn't believe how awful I thought this movie was! I laughed through it, as they go through the typical 'teenagers in the woods' horror film scenarios over and over again. The special effects are nothing to write home about, either! Save your money and watch a good thriller, like SEVEN! :-)
Rating: Summary: Something entertaining for a change. Review: I would ignore all of the morons who expect way too much out of movies these days, and realise the movie was made in a way that Evil Dead was; Gross effects, a little horror, some laughs, and all fun. I usually can't stand the special features but I actually sat down like a vegtable to watch them all. The rotten fruit thing was wierd, but hilarious. If I were any of you, I would quit acting like a puppet and at least rent it to find out for yourself. I did, and I'll be ordering it right after this review.
Rating: Summary: Worst Movie Ever Review: This movie is awful. It might be the worst movie let alone horror movie I have ever seen. The plot is not very interesting or scary, and the fever, that everyone is getting, is not explained in regards to how it came to be. The acting is bad, and watching a ten year old boy, who seems to be handicapped, jump in the air and do "matrix-styled kicks" before a bites someone is abosolutely rediculous.
Rating: Summary: A Horribly Bad Movie. Review: Cabin Fever. Where to begin? The beginning, of course. Five kids go to a cabin in the woods and then a guy comes along and he's infected with a disease, they all get it, and die one by one. It's the most original idea of the year. Wait, I forgot the "Un" before original. Those two letters are very important because they let you, the reader, know that this is a bad movie. Why would anyone want to see the movie if they know that all five of the kids will die? "To find out how," you may say. The latter is not reason enough for me. This movie is bad. Near the end, Shawn from Boy Meets World just goes around killing everyone. And then they rip-off the ending from Night of the Living Dead where the last surviving guy is killed ironically by his would be saviors, except it's not ironic if it's already been done before many times. The whole movie is laden with clichés. The best part of the movie doesn't merit a viewing, but will be explained in the following sentences. In the beginning, the kids go to a store and the owner says, "This gun is for the black people," except he said something else, but I'm not going to drop the N-bomb. Doing so would be tasteless. Anyway, the kids and the viewer think that he's racist, but then in the end these black people are walking buy and the owner runs into the store and gets the gun, and it's for them! That's right: he sells it to them. Then everyone is laughing, dropping the N-bomb, and there's banjo music as the credits role. The entire film may have been a set-up just for that N-bomb joke, but it's not worth it. It's not a scary movie; it's just a bad movie. Just because there's blood and wounds, doesn't mean it's horror. And it certainly doesn't mean it's amusing. This movie is bad and not worth seeing. Unless you like bad movies. Then this one is great. Bad film aficionados will go bonkers for this pile of trash.
Rating: Summary: Fun , twisted horror film from great new director Review: Eli Roth who directed and co-wrote Cabin Fever is a clever new filmaker who is like a cross between David Lynch and Tobe Hooper. He has a lot of fun setting up the horny young folks in the woods movie cliches from Texas Chainsaw Massacre to Friday the 13th and countless other horror flicks and then turning these cliches inside out and making shocking and funny new bits out of them. Like the Scream movies, this is more funny than scary. The acting is decent and the girls are cute but the real star here is director/writer Roth who like Hitchcock and Tarantino can steal the show without even being in the movie(although he does have a humorous cameo). I am not usually a big fan of behind the scenes/ making of material but the bonus material here is so hip, funny and interesting I had to watch it twice. There is also an unrelated extra, a bit of hilarious animation humor by Roth about a rock group called Rotten Fruit which you can see at the rottenfruit.com. website You should check it out if you like twisted comedy.
