Summary: An original, interesting idea completely wasted.
Review: If I were to create a movie that had no character developement, a lack of substancial dialogue, and was lacking of a storyline that had any purpose I would do the following: (1)Cast 5 young actors that fill all the cliched roles we have ever seen in horror movies(i.e.-the beautiful nymphomaniac who would never set foot in the woods, the blonde hunk, the drunken idoit, the introspective nice guy, and the sensitive,caring girl-next-door. (2)Disguise a non-existent script by having each character scream the f-word at least 3 times in each sentence they uttered. (3)Accomplish riduculously implausible feats so that the viewer is too busy trying to figure out if blood spurting out of a dead dog at 100 mph is really possible or if a brain-dead party animal would be kept on a police force for more than 2 days. Unfortunately this said movie would not be my crowning acheivement as Cabin Fever stole my ideas. Of course to be fair, this movie is not the only horror movie in history to steal my ideas. The problem is that other horror movies that suffered from undeveloped characters, unintelligent dialogue, and an unpurposeful plot, were entertaining and consequently interesting. And, as entertainment is solely in the eye of the beholder(movie viewer), some horror fans are simply entertained by the sight of human beings constantly coughing up blood without caring why they are doing so. Other horror fans require a little more depth to be entertained.

Summary: It was good for what it was.
Review: What's up? It just saw this movie the other night with my friends, and all I have to say is it was alright for what it was. It had a few good little scares here and there. It mad you feel alittle sorry (yet for me anyway's) for the teenagers. The FX was good for what it was, and the acting for the most part was decent. It did have bad points to it to-So basicly: THE GOODS - 1.Decent acting.

3.A alright story
4.And pretty belivable characters. THE BAD POINTS - 1.Way to many ending's (or places they could of ended it)
2.It seems to loose focus on the main point of the story.
3.A sex scene that really didn't need to be there (I'm sure alot of know what i'm talking about...hint:just before the scene happens a girl metions about a plane crashing...)
4.Stupid hicks that didn't need to be there. but overall decent movie.

Review: Ok. I just realized that the dog belonged to Grim. I was indeed wrong. but that just goes to show how pointless his character was when you forget all about him and his damn dog. So there.

Summary: good, not great
Review: I'm glad to see by the reviews that there are other people that can appreciate this type of movie. I thought I might be the only one. That being said, it was a fun movie, but not what I expected from the trailers. It was too funny to be at all scary. I realized that very early on so I was able to enjoy the movie after all. I loved all the blood and gore. It did however blatantly rip off a couple of classic horror movies. I won't say the names so I don't ruin it for anyone. Just go and enjoy it for what it is.

Summary: Fun but Nothing New
Review: I enjoyed Cabin Fever, but I had some problems with it as well. My biggest problem? I didn't find it scary at all. It was a horror movie with a lot more laughs than scares. Quick plot summary: a group of kids get out of college and head to the woods to do some partying. There, they begin to catch a flesh-eating disease that makes them vomit blood and have really gross scabs. Things go from bad to worse. Eli Roth has made a fine homage to his favorite horror movies. Like all horror movies, the kids in this film make the worst decisions ever. Should we tell the police about the guy we shot and burned last night? Uhhh... naaah. The kids KNOW that they might be infected, but two of them have sex anyway. Yes, yes, I know this is a sly wink to the fact that the kids in horror movies always have sex, no matter what kind of danger they are in, but did I really need to see it AGAIN? Roth also makes some heavy references to Evil Dead, only instead of being possessed by demons out in the woods, the kids are possessed by a flesh-eating virus. Rampaging rednecks a la Deliverance show up to do some killing. There's an establishing shot right out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There's an ending scene much like that of Night of the Living Dead. A song from Last House on the Left pops up. All this is fun for horror fans to notice, but it was also a little distracting because I spent so much time noticing this stuff, the movie lost some of its effect. The humor worked better for me. I laughed out loud more than once, particularly during the "harmonica" scene. I was amused by the deputy who just wanted to party. I enjoyed the Dr. Mambo line: "Yeah, he's a professor. At being a DOG!" I loved the last scene, a nice poke at the bottled water establishment. In fact, Roth manages to create in some very memorable scenes. I'm afraid my girlfriend will never shave her legs again after seeing this movie. There's some definite cringe-worthy moments, and gore is plentiful for you merry-band of horror lovers who get into that red stuff. Lots and lots of vomiting blood. Perhaps I am being to hard on the film because my expectations were so high. Yes, I was entertained. No, I wasn't scared. Roth didn't really show me anything new or particularly original, but I don't think he was trying to. I think he was just piecing together a fun homage to horror movies. At this, he definitely succeeds.

Review: This movie is terrible...the people in the back row where more entertaining making fun of it. I can't tell you how many people walked out. I wish I was one of them. This is a tie with Troll 2 and From Justin to Kelly for the WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME title. Stay far away!

Summary: A Winner
Review: I've seen CF twice at festivals and enjoyed it thoroughly: I'm looking forward to seeing it when it opens in commercial release this weekend. Cabin Fever successfully balances physical and psychological fear with quirky humor. It's upfront with its violence, gore, profanity, and sex, but uses these elements to tell a story and entertain, not for senseless shock value. (The violence, gore, and profanity are to me no more shocking than that found in mainstream war movies like Saving Private Ryan and We Were Soldiers.) I've seen CF described as a "spoof", which it is NOT. It does pay homage (sometimes tongue-in-cheek) to the horror/thriller classics of the 70's and 80's, but is an original story with explicit and underlying themes about personal responsibility, group dynamics, and dealing with fatal disease and death. It uses humor frequently, but judiciously, to help communicate these themes without being moralistic and overbearing. Considering that it was produced as a low-budget independent film, CF is an amazing work.

Review: I'm still laughing...and it's been 24 hours since I saw this film...
It does every thing that (I think) a horror film should do. It surprises you when you least expect it and it doesn't leap out at you when you most expect it. Cabin Fever makes you laugh at stuff you should be horrified at...
See it for what it is...good clean(ish) honest rotten fun.

This movie is fantastic! Just saw it at the Munich Fantasy Filmfestival and was in love with every minute of this. People say films like th RING and SIGNS are scary. they're ok...i guess. but pale in comparison to this happy terrifying flick.
5 horny teenagers go out in the woods to do what they do best- smoke pot, have sex, and have more sex.
the actors are all great. especially the guy playing Bert (Joey Kern, i think). im not gonna say more other than if you want to laugh, wet your pants and all other spooky stuff!! go see this!! im never drinking water again, only beer!

Summary: Cabin Fever
Review: Well Ladies and Gentlemen Cabin Fever is here and it brings back the golden age of horror. Cabin fever has one of the best looks of any recent horror film, and of course violence, gore, sex,language, and a whole lot of fun. Cabin Fever is about a group of friends that get a cabin in the woods, and plan for a quiet (well as quiet as teenagers get) weekend together, but there plans are interupted by a bloody and sick man who begs for help but the teens panic and they chase the man off not before getting there car covered in blood (and the teens destroy there own car trying to scare him off)needless to say from here things begin to go down hill, as one of the them becomes infected and the others soon follow. But for a gory horror film that brings those golden years of horror back to the present where it is needed most, the film is actually pretty funny, through some of the gruesome parts you are able to see the comedy (sorry if i'm not clear about that,but i don't want to give to much away), The Director of the film was so able to make this movie really enjoyable for all hardcore horror fans, and fans of horror. Based on a real flesh-eating virus that 1500 people are infected with every year Cabin Fever will make you laugh, and gross you out at the same time
