Rating: Summary: cabin fever BITES!!! Review: This is the worst [movie] I have ever seen. Among four animal lilling scenes is an aray of scenes, dialogue and terrible acting that positvely makes this film unwatchable and just plain stupid. what a waste of [money]....
Rating: Summary: Can I give this monstrosity ... -100 stars? Review: Ok, let me start by saying, #1 - I LOVE HORROR MOVIES! Even though they rarely ever actually "scare" me, at least I usually get some good laughs. #2 - I have NEVER written a review of ANYTHING before, but I just had to voice my opinion on this one. This piece of crap lost me in the first 15 min or so, when they were at that little store and were told that the "gun was for the niggers". Yes, we did find out what that actually meant at the very end ... as a black woman I DIDN'T APPRECIATE IT AT ALL ... not in the least. I think that may possibly be the tackiest thing I've ever seen in a movie. It was all DOWNHILL from there. The only other movie that I've ever seen that made me angry at myself for sitting through it was Queen of the Damned ... But at least I was at home for that. I was REALLY disgusted with myself for actually PAYING to see this garbage. I've never EVER wanted to walk out of a movie before this. Much to my disappointment, I stayed, hoping ... I really did want to enjoy this, I've always enjoyed Rider Strong, but dang!! Can someone please PERMANENTLY ERASE that 94 minutes from my memory? Bottom line ... I WOULDN'T LET MY WORST ENEMY SEE THIS NONSENSE
Rating: Summary: gross and freaky Review: I thought that the movie was very gross, untasteful, bloody and nasty. It makes you not want to drink water anymore. Rider Strong played a good part in the movie. WARNING: do not eat during this movie! Make sure you eat before it because you wont want to eat after it.
Rating: Summary: Could of been BUT it wasn't, really Review: I love horror movies and go to GREAT lengths to accept their triteness, bad plots, awful acting, etc. My favorites include EVIL DEAD, which Cabin Fever is supposed to be like, but unlike the campy, over-the-top horror flick it tries to pay homage to, Cabin Fever fails at every corner. Cabin was made without even a slight plot, REALLY bad acting ' I mean, it screamed Mariah Carey School of Acting, bad direction, and just bad, bad, bad. I'd much rather sit through Gangs of New York again. Wait for the SciFi Channel airing and even then, have a magazine to flip through.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Movie, but a little Confused!! Review: I thought this was a very good movie, but the ending absolutely sucked!! Could somebody explain to me, why they put that guy back in the water, who was infected, instead of killing him and burning him with the other corpses? Also, as a lot of people are talking about him on this website, concerning that young kid that did the biting, that Matrix style kicking, etc., totally lost me!!! I really liked the special effects, especially when the girl was shaving her legs! Again, the movie was very good, but totally disappointed and aggravated, by the ending!
Rating: Summary: Cabin Fever Theatrical Release ~ Review: For a regular movie I give it 3 1/2 stars, but for a B horror movie, I give it 4 stars. I was bored and looking for a something fun and this movie did the job. Granted, the movie doesn't make much sense and it had no main villian like "Micheal Myers" or "Freddy", but its so much fun that it didn't matter. When they set out to make this film, I got the feeling they tried their hardest to make a really stupid movie, but the amazing stupidity of the film is actually very entertaining. Some of it does come off stupid and distracting in some parts, but for the most part its a good movie to see if your really bored and looking for a laugh and if you like boobs you also wont be dissapointed. This movie had the most blood I have ever seen. Again, it seemed like they added insane amounts of gore and blood that it made you squirm, but at the same time made you laugh cause it was so ridiculous. The ending was corny and nearly ruined the movie.... how unfortunate
Rating: Summary: Cabin Fever : It's About Time!! Review: Thank God for Cabin Fever! I'm a huge horror movie fan and have spent far too much time and money over the years hoping to see a good old school horror flick but instead see pieces of unoriginal garbage. Darkness Falls, They, and Jeepers Creepers have to be the worst horror movies I've ever seen. But Cabin Fever, this is a masterpiece. Gory, funny, sexy, and scary as hell this film is comparable to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre(the original) Anyone who loves a good horror movie should see this movie. Its flawless and could be the best horror movie of the decade. But if you know nothing of good horror then waste your dough and go see Jeepers Creepers 2. That should be a real jem.
Rating: Summary: Above average, yet no classic. Review: From when I first heard about it I was eager to see Cabin Fever. The idea of an Evil Dead redux that uses a flesh eating virus instead of demons, zombies, or some other overly familiar movie monster seemed a sure fire way to reinvent a genre that has been a tad stagnant over the last few years. For the most part Cabin Fever does the job, but it is far from being a trendsetting classic. Co-writer/producer/director Eli Roth is clearly talented and has an obvious sincere love of the genre. The movie contains numerous homages to other classic horror films (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, to name but a few) that actually work in the movie's favor instead of looking like they were put there by a hack director to "Give the audience what it wants, another version of [fill in the blank with hit horror movie title]." The humor comes from the characters and their situations and not, in a really nice twist, from making fun of the movie itself. So, on the plus side, Cabin Fever is fresh, funny, and smart (not to mention stuffed with really icky and quite realistic effects). But, on the down side, the movie is filled with dead spots in the narrative and more than a few needless digressions that slow down the primary plot. This was the movie I was most looking forward to seeing this year, sadly it was the one that disappointed me the most. Recommmended to horror fans looking for something just a little different than average.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining, but lacking Review: It was funny, bloody, and shocking. I was fun to watch, but defineatly not a classic, watch it after you have seen all the really good movies.
Rating: Summary: A Fairly Entertaining, Not Scary, Horror Flick Review: Now, before I review this, let me point out something: I have not seen more than 5 or 6 gory, blood-spilling everywhere, heads cut off, dead animals everywhere, etc. horror movies. This is one of them. If this is what most of them are like, I'll pass. Entertaining, but still not worth it. But...if they were more like "Freddy vs. Jason", sure! But this isn't about the far-superior horror movie "Freddy vs. Jason", but about "Cabin Fever", the predictible horror movie about 5 teens renting a cabin in the woods, where a victim of a deadly, flesh eating virus infects them all. But you probably already knew the plot, didn't you? Anyway, this is a no-brainer, sit back and watch flick. Horror purists might be disappointed, but still laugh a few times at the funny behavior of the brainless college kids, or th "racist" rednecks in the general store. Also, something I don't get: how did that kid (Dennis? Was that his name?) do all that crazy Matrix s*it? I wish I could. And why'd he scream "pancakes"? And bite him? Do I sense a cannibal sequel? The only real scary part in this is after the dog kills the one girl, and then is chewing on the still-alive infected girl, and gets killed, the way the infected girl's face looks is very, very disturbing. Half of her face is skin, half is skull. The way she glares at the camera, with that look in her eyes, will haunt you for a while. But that's about all the scary. See this movie if you wish to be entertained, not to be scared.
