Summary: An OK movie get's a OK disc.
Review: First things first. The DVD is subpar. The extras and audio get the job done but don't really take this disc into the must haves of the year.Since that is out of the way. Lets talk about the movie, since I alway said, "If you like the movie, then who cares about anything else.!?". With praise from Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings Director in case you've been in a cave for the past 3 years), I was really looking foward to this fright film. The movie is made by Eli Roth, and there is no dought he loves the horror genre. He pulls off camera work and stunts found in Evil Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacure, just to name a few that I remember. This in no way hurts the film, I say if your going to rip people off....then might as well be from the best in the genre. The story is about a college students, going camping, one gets infected by a flesh eatting virus and then they start to turn on each other for their own survival. No one is to be trusted, since no one is really safe...infected or not. The movie has a great set up, a great idea, and a great feel to it....the only thing that hurts it is the lame and largly out of place sense of humor found in it. This is no movie for that kind of stuff. The horror found it is too dark and the setting too moody. A feeling of death overruns the film and so there is no place for comedy. The last 10 minutes belong on another movie!! Their are some great creapy parts in the movie (rent this for the shaving scene) but in the end the desire to put in comedy and humor in the blender with all the right ingrendints....makes this one turn out sour and dissapointing.

Review: I had a freind who bought this the day it came out and advised me to do the same. I almost bought it thank god I saw it at blockbuster and rented it. Had I bought this highschool like ametuer horror film I would have been out 20 bucks. I would have not even sold it because I would not want to subject anyone to this dull fake and insanely bad so called horror flick. Why is peter Jackson endorsing this, He must have given eli roth a couple hundered bucks to get this garbage made. stay away, you have been warned.

Summary: Stay AWAY from this movie!
Review: Maybe it is me, maybe this movie is so above my head that I just did not understand it! There are so many "WHATs? and "Whys?" in this movie. The victims in this movie are college teens who go on vacation to a cabin, and one by one they make contact with a disease of some sort (it is never explained) resembles flesh eating bacteria, I would assume? In the meanwhile we are introduced to some "Deliverance" style townsfolk who never come close to measuring up to that movie. Then the college kids die one by one... and who cares by this point, because there is never any character build-up that you care about any one of them. Then it is The End!! Pretty boring buildup, followed by lame paranoia which sets in after they realize each may be infected. By the end of this movie if you are still somehow able to manage to watch that long, you sit watching the credits roll wondering "what was that movie about?" and "what kind of ending is that?" All the lose ends are never explained. As far as gore factor, think lots of "Red Kool Aid" because that is the look of the blood effects. " This is Absolutely without a doubt one of the worst horror flicks since FearDotCom"

Review: Cabin Fever came across such as a horror movie that had the elements of The Evil Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wrong Turn, Night of The Living Dead, and House of 1000 Corpses! It had this spooky aura to it. Who doesn't like a movie where people die from a flesh eating disease! I don't know how this movie got a R rating! It was gross! You sort of feel sorry for the characters as you see there skin rot off! I usually don't get sick after watching horror movies but this one made me sick!!! MAN WHAT A SICK MOVIE!!!

Review: Well,there were some parts that scared me and there were some parts that didnt. What was up with denis, the biting kid??? why was he screaming pancakes then doing karate?? Plus I really liked winston the police officer. he kicked ass, I like to party winston, and what was up with the that deer, kicking that guy in the face, that was totaly a dummy, I liked it alittle, but i really thought it was dumb, especially the sex senes!!!

Review: i heard that lord of the rings director peter jackson recommended this vile piece of sh*t, i never seen any of the LOTR movies, and after the thumbs up from jackson, i NEVER WILL.
this guy roth is nothing but a snot nosed hack, he'll never reach the status of horror legends; romero,carpenter,cronenberg or even fulci and the lackluster wes craven.
there was nothing new about this movie CF is a derivetive of past shockers like THE FLESH EATERS,DELIVERANCE,EVIL DEAD AND NOT TO MENTION A CHESSY night of the living dead ENDING. Rider strong's acting was WEAK,the redneck shopkeeper thing was a silly waste of dialogue and the ending was rediculous. (just what i need to see...thugs and rednecks.) and equaly offensive was that stupid dennis kid (what redneck jumps around doing matrix like kicks and flips only to bite one of the dumb teenagers?? and the pancakes feature was cool to watch, but the song 'gaybar" does not gel with a martial arts demonstration.
well the kid did look kinda fruity..i supported indie horror flicks back in the day (the living dead series,halloween,scanners,the howling,nightmare on elm street,evil dead etc.) but today's independent movies like MAY,HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES,HOUSE OF THE DEAD (and i'm a fan of sega and rob zombie..)JEEPERS CRAP-ERS,and this BS called "fever
can't touch the great movies of long ago. however i did like GINGER SNAPS. I rather watch disapointing movies with style like RESIDENT EVIL and GHOST OF MARS 6 times over than this sh*t.

Review: hte fact that some parts of this movie may have a taste of surrealism to it (flesh eating bacteria,racist rednecks,mad dogs and those ever pesky horny teenagers) doesn't mean that cabin fever is a valid horror flick. the actors are lame (WTF kinda name is rider strong anyway? sounds like a name for a porno star like boogie night's dirk diggler. ha ha)the story stole from so many horror movies, cliche's etc. and to top it all off what's up with the lame ass shopkeeper scene?? the near ending with the "n" word was done in piss poor taste. sure you have your garden variety racist @$$hole rednecks, but the "payoff" was meant to be humorous, but it wasn't, and who's the idiot that wrote the dennis/pancakes scene?!? a karate kicking,androdgenous redneck kid who bites people? the gore was gratuatious but the specail makeup effects deserve praise. and to see the two actors from a good film like detriot rock city, have hit rock bottom when they signed on for this movie.
here's a slice of advice; rent a good horror film like freddy vs jason or underworld. pass on the indie horror flicks, especially anything from lion's gate who released crap like; house of 1000 corpses,May and this trash cabin fever. although ginger snaps was pretty good. and get this..lions gate has accquired ARTISAN, the guys that realeased the god awful HOUSE OF THE DEAD..oh boy.
