Summary: OMEGA MAN mixed with DAY OF THE DEAD
Review: it's very odd to me when a car can some how drive up and drive over other cars like in chitty chitty bang bang, or how when zombies are running after a car they all stop and put there arms on ther side like there tired. this movie has all that and much more to offer of bad shots like these. every shot when there in car is showing there reflection in a window or something. once is alright but all the time. why don't animals when there infected attack humans? the thing which bothered me the most is that the big funny guy in the movie which was the best part died for no reason. why would stupid army people not do anything but hide in the ditch and wait till someone gets infected then they shoot him to show that thier out there. very stupid. and i think more then one army person out of 11 would most likely think that abusing and raping women is wrong. don't you? why do they make army people so stupid all the time? theres a reason why they are there in the army. i could go on forever, but i won't. i did give the movie two stars not zero because we haven't seen a end of the world or end of the UK movie in a long time. the director tried, but failed. but he still tried.

Review: Brilliant movie!!! I loved it. I saw it a few days ago and I keep thinking about it. It's been a long time since I've seen a movie that kept me thinking about it days after I've seen it.

Summary: This was the WORST HORROR movie i've seen in years!
Review: Okay, to start this off, this movie was so boring it is not even funny. There were some (emphasis on the some) O.K. parts, but overall, it bored me to death. I couldn't wait for it to end!!! And the ending was also horrible! There was also absolutely no need to show Cillian Murphy naked.... The zombies RAN, which zombies are supposed to not be able to do, and the people turn into zombies in ten seconds!!! Also not supposed to happen! And the virus was spread by monkeys!!!! The movie was also very poorly filmed, like the movies Killjoy(another terrible movie), Pumpkinhead(which was good), and hellraiser. It was filmed as if it was directed and made in the 70's! Take my advice, if you want to go see a zombie flick, see Resident Evil 2 when it hits theaters......

Summary: Deliciously Horrific
Review: This British Horror film scared the knickers* off me (*pants to people in the US). I watched it by myself, BIG mistake number one. It's gruesome, it's believable, it's totally mind blowingly frightening and boy does it MAKE you jump when you least expect it!Big mistake number two was watching it at night! LATE at night....NEVER again is all I can say! I'm amazed that such a low budget film could come out so well, amazed and pleased because some big budget films are a waste of movie air time and money! The special effects were next to nothing, but the plot made up for that. It was a surprisingly simple plot, a lethal virus is let loose on an unsuspecting society. Transmitted through a single drop of blood it sets of a chain reaction that locks those unfortunate enough to be infected with it (human or beast) into a perpetual state of murderous rage and fury. The title refers to the time of the aftermath, 28 days later in which society is now two tiered. Those who have been infected with the virus and those who haven't. And those who haven't are in the minority to say the least! And so the few uninfected survivors begin a desperate attempt to carry on living, avoiding the virus infested remnants of a now defunked society. There are no big named stars in this film, like I said earlier it was a low budget film, made with digital cameras so I have been told, but there is a good musical score and excellent all round acting. Some people have called this a Zombie Horror Flick, I'm not so sure, it is more subtle than that though it has some of the cruder elements of Zombie movies I have watched (usually form behind a pillow!) I would also add that you will either love or hate 28 Days Later. It is that sort of film. It is realistic enough to make you think, "could this actually happen?" All I can say is I hope not and the next time I watch it will be with a group of friends, during the day with several pillows to hide behind!!

Summary: Senseless and Pointless
Review: In the beginning of the film, the audience finds out that the infection in the laboratory monkeys is caused by rage. This leads the audience to believe that the movie will convey rage and its effects on human beings, thus making people compare the movie's reality to that of their own. (Basically, people will be forced to look at their own lives and see how they need to change in order to make this world a better place. You would think this is another one of those "wake up and smell the coffee movies" that would try to get people to change their destructive behavoior.) This movie does NOT deliver this message however. Even if it tried to, the movie was just too violent and gruesome. Realities of the world can be shown in a smart, non-violent manner as well. 28 Days Later delivers no strong message(s) to the audience and is just another waste of film and money.

Review: A freaky flick. Very scary. Worth seeing. But if you've already seen it, and are contemplating going back because of the new ending, don't bother. Let someone else tell you what happened.

Summary: Finally a decent horror film!
Review: This was the best new horror moview I've seen in years. It seems most horror movies these days rely on bad CG graphics, shallow characters, and pointless plots (e.g. Darkness Falls, Jeepers Creepers, Ghost Ship), but not 28 Days Later. It relies on its story and atmosphere (partially created by the low production values). It's not really "scary" so much as it is ominous. It's a good a negative-utopia as I've seen on film. Maybe, for me, the most effective parts were the opening scenes in a deserted London and the later portion set to the old hymn "Abide with me fast falls the eventide." That really gave me the chills. The effects are modest (no bad CG that I could see), and the gore is kept to a minimum. This movie does have its faults though. First, it is not terribly original. The plot is more or less an amalgamation and retelling of Day of the Dead and The Omega Man. The part of the movie at the military complex (right down to the captured zombie / rage victim) is straight out of Day of the Dead. The basic lesson that the human survivors are the real threat of course is a major theme in all of George Romero's zombie films. The infection idea / fighting against crazed victims of the disease is very similar to The Omega Man. Yet 28 Days puts its own twist on things and makes it work well...except for the ending. The happy "hollywood" ending is just horrible and unbelievable. I have not seen the new supposedly darker ending, but anything would have been better.

Summary: A godsend for horror lovers
Review: Real horror freaks don't want detached irony like "Scream" or shallow slapstick like "Freddy vs. Jason." They want sympathetic, fleshed out characters thrust into unspeakably disturbing scenarios. 28 Days Later is the ultimate rarity nowadays, a truly intelligent horror film. Borrowing ideas and images from classic apocalyptic fare like George Romero's "Dead" trilogy (particularly "Dawn" and "Day") and Stephen King's "The Stand," Danny Boyle has created a classic. It's a film that takes elements of similarly-themed entries in the genre and improves upon them. The actors all do a nice job, with special kudos going to Cilian Murphy as the confused protagonist and the very charismatic Brendan Gleeson in a supporting role. Among the cast, the sleepy Megan Burns is the only real let-down. The shot-on-video look of the film is alternately effective and annoying, and the final act has a hard time living up to the brilliance that preceded it, but this is the best horror film since the ludicrously underappreciated "Hannibal," which is enough to earn it perfect marks from me. This flick will make a lot of dough in the video market, improving upon its roughly $.. million dollar take at the American box office. Not bad for a $.. million dollar picture, and hopefully encouraging enough to the studios to prompt them to invest in more adult-oriented horror, minus the cheesiness and inevitable zingers that we've come to tolerate. Could it even, dare we dream, inspire a sequel. Bring "Rage" to NYC, Danny, for "28 Days Later, Part Deux."
