Summary: A fantastic thrill ride!
Review: This is in my opinion one of the new horror classics for the new century, it's original in every sense of the word for a teen horror movie.

It's basically about a boy named " Alex Browning" ( Devon Sawa) and his high school friends get thrown out of a plane due to a fight but their Paris trip gets canned and witnessing the plane being destroyed right in front of their eyes. However, Alex has a secret that he can predict things that may come, it's up to him and his friends to cheat death but a mysterious force is killing them one by one, will one of them survive?

Well you'll have to watch this movie for yourself, it's an excellent Supernatural Horror thriller with tons of good acting, fine plot, lots of twists and turns, gore and one hell of an ending that will suprise you. If you love horror then i personally recommend this movie but it's not for those who are victims of nightmares.

Similar movies recommended: Lucio Fulci's The Beyond, The Sixth Sense, Scream, Airforce One, Se7en, The Game, Silence of the Lambs, Carrie, Akira, Scanners, Nomads, The Shining, Manhunter, Hannibal, Idle Hands, From Dusk Till Dawn, Urban Legend, City of the Living Dead ( a.k.a. Gates of Hell), Evil Dead II, Unbreakable, The Exorcist, Event Horizon, and Suspiria.

Summary: This movie scared the hell out of me!
Review: First of all, I would like to say that I dont care what other people think about this movie. I was reading some negative reviews about this film and I was shocked. I think this movie is a tense, heart-pounding, scary movie. This movie starts off as a high school class is going to France. And Alex Browning(Devon Sawa) starts to have weird dreams about the plain exploding and everyone dies. But then he wakes up from nightmare and starts screaming that the plain is going to explode and everyone has to get off. Of course everyone thinks hes nuts and the flight attendents through him off the plain. Then he and his friends are talking in the lobby when they here this explosing and you guessed it. The plain exploded.

After that very moment, him and everyone else get a eerie feeling that he can predict who will die. Then death hunts them down one by one and it is creepy. I dont want to give the story away. So I'll let you see it and you can see how good this movie is. It is rated "R" for Violence, Gore, Strong Language, and some sexuality. The gore is not bad, but it may turn some heads away. I give this movie 5 stars and more. Have fun and watch out!

Summary: Unexpectedly good
Review: This could have been just another gormless teen flick if it wasn't for the delightfully wicked premise and the obvious relish with which writer Glen Morgan and director James Wong exploit its potential. The air disaster which kicks off the story is only the first of many major shocks which will have you squirming till the end. The mainly teen cast acquit themselves well, striking the perfect balance between horror and disbelief. This is stylish, frightening fun which will leave you wishing Morgan and Wong had longer resumés.

Summary: I loved it!
Review: I was surprised by some of the negative reviews here, as I found this movie refreshingly different and entertaining, in a freaky sort of way. The thought that when it's your time, there is no escaping, is frightening enough... but imagine really knowing that it's your turn to die? The methods used to kill the cast in this movie are quite far-fetched... some awfully unusual "accidents". However, anyone that can watch a movie and understand that it is nothing more than a movie, can sit back and enjoy this. If you are looking for more reality, this is not the movie for you. Sit back, watch, and just enjoy.... then think about the theory this writer/writers had about death, and escaping death.

Summary: Final Destination
Review: Final Destination
As I sit down to write this review I am trying hard not to recall the events of recent tragedies in the skies. It seems such a shame that people died in such brutal fashion. Even though this is a review I can't help but think of all of those poor people. That aside this is a nifty little thriller that rises above the typical teen horror movie genre cliché's that have ruined some horror movies ("Scream 3"). The movie tells the story of what happens when death comes a calling and you have to figure out when exactly it is coming to get you. Devon Sawa plays Alex a guy heading to France with his friends on a school trip. While on the plane Alex has a premonition that the plane is going to explode and after a major commotion is thrown off the plane along with some others. Well after you know what happens the survivors who were not on the plane find themselves the victim of Death as it comes a calling trying to kill them because as one strange character puts it "You can't cheat death". As the survivors die one by one Alex realizes that the killings are occurring the order of which they sat on the airplane. Now Alex must outwit death before it kills everyone including himself. The movie features allot of suspense and jolts to startle even the most fearless viewer. What bothers me about the film though is that the plot never really ends on a satisfactory level leaving us with questions that may never be answered until the unnecessary sequel (for which the film's climax sets up) Still the movie is a fairly good one if you just don't think about it too much too much. Review: *** out of five

Summary: A derivative thriler, a great comedy
Review: Obviously anyone over the age of 18 will not like this movie. Personally, I thought it was funny. Is this entertainment? Only if you are drunk. I give this one star. It's just not worth your time. And I did not see it at the theater or rent the video, I saw it on Starz.

Summary: A horror film that finally apeales to me.
Review: This film is excellent in it's dvd edition becuase it's all planed out well with crystal clear picture and sound. The animated menue's are well timed. And special features are enough to satisfire anyone and the director's comemtry is excellent as I always enjoy how they decided on the film style etc. There is one point about this dvd that I think they should have change on the uk release and that is the rating of the film. I think that a 15 rating for this film was to low and should of been an 18 certificate instead. I think US rating by the mpa of america was right on with there rated R certificate. which the R certificate is the equivelent to an 18 in the UK. I would advise that if you are sqimish like me then you should know that there are quite a few scene that are bloodly and sometimes gory. but apart from that the film is definately worth a buy.

Summary: Uneven but intriguing horror tale
Review: "Final Destination," directed by James Wong, has an intriguing concept and a strong start. High school student Alex (played by Devon Sawa) has a horrific premonition which is ultimately instrumental in saving the lives of himself and a number of others. But have they cheated death? Or is there an even more horrible fate in store for each of them?

I found "Final Destination" to be an oddly uneven film. Director Wong helps create a genuinely creepy atmosphere; I especially liked the way ordinary household items and actions are invested with an ominous weight. But some aspects of the film struck me as inappropriately humorous, leading me to wonder if I was watching an intentional spoof or if the filmmakers were just slipping up in moments of ineptitude.

I found the tone of the film inconsistent. Were they trying to create a serious psychological drama in which the viewer is meant to care about the characters, or rather should the viewer view Alex and the others as mere fodder for yet another "slasher"-style horror pic? I was also disappointed by the ending.

One of the best aspects of "Final Destination" is the strong work by its ensemble cast, which includes Kerr Smith and Kristen Cloke. Sawa in particular makes a sympathetic leading man. His solid performance carries much of the film; he is definitely a young actor worth following. Give "Destination" a try.

Summary: Worst Horror Movie I Have Ever Seen
Review: A work of comedic genious? Perhaps, but as a horror, it could be no worse, the plot is [weak]. Basically this flick deals with the idea that if death is on your path you're toast, no matter what you do to try and escape it, real scarry huh? no, its not. Luckily for the cast, one strong willed gent has figured out this plan of death's. he takes matters into his own, powerful, ingenious hands. even after this "hunk" realizes out he can't stop it, he goes ahead and tries anyhow, very very very courageous of young vern. if you ask me, this guy is a little light in his loafers. final destination couldn't hold the attention of an invalid, sat in a chair, in a locked room with no way to shut off the tv, and nothing else in the room. i hated this movie with a passion. i hate the fact that somebody could possibly like it. and i believe my review reflects that.
