Summary: Standard horror flick
Review: I'm a big Morgan and Wong fan from their days on the X-Files and their work on Millenium. So, I have to admit that when I heard about this film--co-written by this team, I was eager to check it out.

And while I enjoyed the film, for the most part, I can't say it's up to their usual standard fare that they regularily offered on X-Files. The premise is interesting enough--a group of young teens cheat death and death decides to ensure they don't escape again. The movie has the problem of feeling a bit schitzophrenic--one moment it's dark and scary, the next moment it's a bit too light. I can only imagine that there were some studio suits who felt Morgan and Wong's usual trick of having dark, off-beat humor might not translate well and decided to go with the campy humor we get here. And that ruins the movie in a lot of places. Morgan and Wong aren't allowed to go far enough into the dark side and really tap the potential that's there. Indeed, they fail to do what they usually do--creep you out in ways you never expect.

One of the interesting things is that on the DVD is the documentary about the testing of the film as well as the original ending and alternate scenes. I will admit one thing that really bugged me about the movie was the ending. However, in seeing that original creator's ending, I'm not sure they had the best idea for how to end the movie either. Either way, given the ability to compare and contrast the two visions is a nice touch and a good way to make use of what DVD can bring to the table in terms of extra features for the viewer.

The young cast is uniformly solid with a few exceptions. Josh Kerr never really makes his character anything more than a one-note character but otherwise, the rest is good. If you're an X-Files nut, there are appearances by actors that have been featured on X-Files and Millenium.

Summary: I haven't stopped laughing...
Review: This moving was hilarious. Similar to all of the other teeny-bop 'thrillers' (Scream series, I still know...yada, yada, yada), this movie sticks with the genre in that it's incredibly ridiculous, the characters are transparent at most, and the plot is easily predictable - that's what makes this movie that good. Some decent gore just adds to the movie's charm. Can anyone say, 'Watch out for that bus!'? It's definitely worth the rent, but if you like dark comedy, this one's for your collection.

Summary: What a trip
Review: Outstanding story, this movie is a trip. The gore is pretty good.

Summary: Waste of time/money/resources/etc.
Review: This movie was....what's the word? AWFUL. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone looking to waste their valuable time. The overall concept is quite ingenius, but it was just so predictable and ridiculous. I knew everything that was going to happen. I could have written this movie if someone gave me the idea. I would rather have my nose hairs ripped out one by one rather than think of this movie again.

Summary: This movie is down right hysterical
Review: Forget terror, this movie had me more afraid that I may hurt myself laughing than concerned about the fate of the characters. After a very smart opening, the movie spirals into one obsurdity after another. If you're looking to be scared, forget it. However, if you want to laugh, not just at the movie, but the fact that someone actually sat down to write this, then see the movie. The only scary thing about it is that it took three people to come up with this drivel. I gave the movie two stars because humor is not deliberate. It has to take you by surprise. And if the filmakers meant for this movie to be funny they certainly did a good job.

Summary: Very Entertaining
Review: I hated the ending, which you'll see if you watch the movie, but the rest of it is FANTASTIC! Final Destination is definetly a movie that you don't want to miss seeing. It stars Devon Sawa as Alex and some girl named Clear who with 5 "friends" survive a horrible accident. The basis surrounds Alex's sudden knowledge of when people are going to die through logic, after he has a vision of a horrible plain crash. Clear, his romantic sidekick, although they never "officially" get together, seems to be Empathic, and can sense his, no one elses, just his feelings. Definetly watching!

Summary: Like a Thrill Ride !
Review: The first 20 minutes of this movie had me falling off the edge of my seat, and did not let up. A very young, and relatively unknown cast brings to life what can only be seen as an inventive and very scary screenplay. Without giving too much content away, it deals with the premise that one's time to die if accidentally missed will catch up with you, and deals with a young group of friends - one of whom has premonitions about fateful events. Gripping, absorbing with more twists than a good roller coaster, you will not be able to stop watching until the end credits. A Great Movie
