Summary: GREATEST HORROR MOVIE IN THE WORLD
Review: I LOVED IT, IT SPOOKED ME OUT, AND IT DIDN'T WASTE TIME WITH A PLOT, I JUST WENT ON MAKING YOU LAUGH AT TIMES AND SCARING THE HELL OUT OF YOU AT OTHERS, THE MAKEUP EFFECTS WERE IN MY OPINION BETTER THAN THE EFFECTS I'VE SEEN IN A LOT OF LIVING DEAD MOVIES, OF COURSE, I FEEL THAT TOGETHER THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD CREW AND THE CHILDREN CREW COULD MAKE AN AWESOME ZOMBIE MOVIE, THESE ZOMBIES WERE ACTUALLY SCARY, THE FOG SEQUENCE WAS AWESOME.I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT ON DVD.

Summary: These children should play with dead things more often
Review: The entire cast is dressed like the Scooby Doo gang from "The Creeper" episode. The dialogue borders around some kind of attempt at tongue-in-cheek; far away, the zombies, bumbling unintelligible creatures, get all of the best lines. I couldn't stop laughing. The head guy with the rainbow-colored bell bottoms is a self-professed necromancer, and evidently some kind of backwards devil-worshipper too. He calls up a bunch of zombies and then cries like a baby when they come to kill him. And they can't kill him quickly enough....

Summary: Setting the record straight
Review: The DVD of Children was mastered from a low contrast 35mm negative which was poorly lit in certain scenes. The LD released by now out of business Phantom Video remains the best version of the film because it is lighter than the DVD release. For all true collectors out there seek out the LD, there are only 700 in existence worldwide.

Summary: Still my Favorite
Review: I don't know what it is about this film for I've seen a lot of great horror flicks, but this is still my #1! I own the widescreen DVD which is the best quality I've seen to date. If only Criterion would add this one to their catalog (I can dream can't I?). Then again they restored "The Blob", quite well I might add. The acting was better than average for a group of relative unknowns, and the classic 70's effects were great. I can see where this would become a cult classic. And that Jane Daly, what a dish!

Summary: Good fun-Mixed feelings
Review: I must say that the thing that drove me to purchase this movie was-apart from my being a zombi-a-cholic- the title itself. The overall feeling I got from the movie was mixed. On the one hand I felt like I could gather a bunch of friends and make a movie such as this (based on the acting, photography and technical aspects)and on the other hand I appreciated the effort (amazingly well-crafted makeup given the date of the film, good plot strokes). The actors were having a great time doing the film and the "order of killing" was a pleasant surprise. It's no Dawn of the Dead, that's for sure and it doesn't intend to be, but I saw in it the forefather of the Return of the Living Dead series.

Summary: i'm a fan of living dead movies
Review: I 1st saw this movie when I was about 11. It creeped the hell out of me but left a lasting impression. I've always thought that this movie is really the prequel to "NOTLD". If you liked "NOTLD" then this movie is a must. I've looked high & low for this movie for years. Luckily for me I decided to try "amazon" and was happy with the quick delivery.

Summary: I HEAR A FOG HORN BLOWING ! boooooring , boooooring.
Review: Can you ask for a movie any worse than this. The acting the music the camera. This is one of the worst films I have ever seen. The acting will make you laugh though so if you want to laugh rent this but don't buy it.I can't believe someone out there said this was scary. It's just a big yawn. The gore isn't even good. This film is far past low budget.I wasted so much of my life watching this film. I would know because I own more than 40 horror movies but this just sickened me, you can't even call this horror. So don't make the same mistake I did, a cover isn't everything!

Summary: A true cult classic
Review: The funny parts are funny, and the scary parts are scary. What more can you ask? I have loved this movie since the late, late show days. The dvd transfer isn't tremendous, but believe me, it's a step-up from the vhs. "Orville's my straight man!!"

Summary: CLASSIC OF THE 1970's
Review: I'd hesitated in purchasing this DVD because of the 1.5 rating the quality had received, and another review that had bashed its inferior transfer. I finally caved in and spent the bucks--and found it to be EXACTLY like the old VHS version--only letterboxed!--Which is great, and yes, the quality is dark and smudgy at times, but that's ONLY BECAUSE of the original film stock used!! Remember folks, this is/was a low-budget (somewhat independent) horror film, and the original master has suffered some fade, but it's exactly what I remembered it as being when the film was the "Million Dollar Movie" on Channel 9 YEARRRS ago. It's a great addition to my DVD collection, and a great source of some really chilling sequences! For the first hour, it's all talk-talk-talk, but there's atmosphere!--And the dialogue is pure camp--the clothes are SO 1970's--but the last half-hour (when the zombies arrive), the hair really starts to rise. Have fun with it!

Summary: Why knowone should buy this video
Review: I watched this DVD last night courtesy of a deranged Northern Backgammon player named Steve Stock. Even if you are drunk \ stoned this film still ranks below CACK. DO NOT BUY! ... I do however highly recommend "You've got mail" staring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
