Summary: Take this one with a bottle of wine.
Review: One night alone, I rented Phantasm and Phantasm II and bought a bottle of wine. Two hours later I was huddled in a corner of my sofa, clutching an empty wine bottle and shaking with fear. I still don't understand why this movie scares me so much (it's really a stupid plot -- Tall Man steals corpses and sends them to another dimension to be dwarf zombie slaves) but it does.

Summary: Awful, but funny to watch.
Review: This is honestly one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and I am not someone who enjoys putting things down. It's not even remotely scary--the theme music is the most stereotypical "horror" music imaginable. The acting is awful, the plot makes little sense, the special effects aren't particularly good, and worst of all, the screenplay is a disaster. I love horror movies and I am usually not overly critical, but this isn't horror! It's hysterical! I laughed my way through it and I would recommned it to anyone who would enjoy the humor in how awful it is. If you are looking for true horror, though, this isn't it. It's truly a terrible movie.

Summary: Easily, the over-all best horror film of all time!!!
Review: It's very rare a horror movie comes out that you can compare to Phantasm and it's sequels. Most horror film sequels get worse and worse as the series goes on but not Phantasm. In fact, they keep getting just as good as the last one before it. Another great thing about Phantasm is the cast. Over a 20 year time span, the cast from the first one remains unchanged (except for part 2 whereas Mike is changed) and the story stays true to the original. I don't recall any other horror films that have accomplished this feat. The "Nightmare on Elm Streets", the "Friday the 13th's", and the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre's" have all gotten more and more pathetic as the series goes on but not Phantasm. And also I like the way the series picks up right where the last one left off. I can't wait to see "Phantasm 1999" if and when it is available on video. If you're a true die-hard horror fan, and if you haven't seen this truely classic horror masterpiece, what are you waiting for??? Go get it!!! Oh, by the way...BBBBBBOOOOOOOYYYYYYYY!!!!

Summary: from sphere to eternity
Review: I was sixteen years of age when I first saw this movie at the local movie theatre. When I got out I was so scared that I ran home afraid that the grim reaper would follow me and take me to his world. This little movie is very sketchy and the narrative doesn't run smoothly but it is beautifully shot (espececially considering the shoe-string budget) and has such an eerie surrealistic atmosphere that it should rank in any horror-fan's all-time top ten. The Tall Man as portrayed by Angus Scrimm is truly the most frightening fiend I've ever seen on the silver screen. Twenty years later, having viewed it on tape, it hasn't lost it's power to scare you to death. Well done Angus Scrimm, Don Coscarelli (the director) and the rest of the cast and crew. Followed by a phantastic sequel, a half-baked third and a very bizarre surreal fourth phantasm.

Summary: A Must For Horror Fans~~Tall Man Awesome
Review: One has to be a die hard horror fan to get into this movie...The acting is bad and the lines are poorly written but The Tall Man's presence makes up for all of this...He is naturally scary..The ending left fans wondering but I heard in later movies the loose ends will be tied..It does not sound like it but I am a die hard fan..This movie is certainly a cult classic...

Summary: the best ending ever
Review: phantasm is the best horror movie i've ever seen. ANGUS SCRIMM is a horror ICON! Jason, Freddy candyman-these are all mommas boys when compared to the tall man. After seeing this movie, Irefused to sleep. Iwoke up that night hoping not to see the tall man beconing to me "you play the game well boy, but you loose!" This is a must see for any horror film fan.
