Summary: Dead By Dawn! Dead By Dawn! Dead By Dawn!
Review: EVIL DEAD 2 DEAD BY DAWN.
Here I am taken back to my overnight horror sessions of drinking Jolt cola and watch horror all night. As with the first Evil Dead film I have watched this sequel many times. I consider this to be just as good as the first Evil Dead but with a bit less gore. Although be warned this movie had lots of gore still.
Once again the demons are after Ash in the cabin in the woods. If you love B film horror this is going to be at the top of your list. The voices, the sounds, the creeks, the screams, the camera shots it all boils down to one thing. AMAZING! I don't give much away about a film to spoil things for the reader, but I like to give at least ONE cool example to let you know you will love the film if you love intense horror. There is a part where a spirit enters Ashes hand and Ash cuts his own hand off, the hand proceeds to run all over the house with a sound that just has to be heard by you. To know more about the hand and what happens buy this movie. It's classic horror. 5 Stars well deserved

Summary: not a sequel
Review: This isn't a sequel as you might think at first glance at the title. Instead it is a superior remake of the original "Evil Dead". This won awards for its special effects and they are indeed pretty impressive if gory. The plot is a bit weak perhaps but frankly I don't think we are to take this as a serious commentary on the occult or anything like that. Bruce Campbell is amazing to watch and that is good because I'd 70% of the movie is just him battle unseen forces of evil.

Summary: Better special effects than the first
Review: This is apparently the version Sam Raiimis wanted to make but didnt have the money or the experience at the time, hence Part 1.
Part 1 is special because it was a film that almost didnt see the light of day. Filmed in 1979 but not released until 1982.
This sequel was made in 1987 and has excellent special effects which make Part 1's effects look very amateurish.
Die-hard collectors will want all three of the series. I can't say I am a huge fan but appreciate the origins of this series.

Summary: Best sequal ever
Review: This sequal (yes it's a sequal) to THE EVIL DEAD is great. It keeps the horror and gore of the first movie and adds a little dark humor. It's a great film for horror and comedy fans alike.

Summary: best horror comedy ever
Review: this is nothing about this movie that is scary, this is a comedy. this is more of a remake than a sequel with a bigger budget and better f/x. the first one is more of a horror movie and is more violent. evil dead2 has many memorable moments and is halirious. the dvd is also good. even if u didnt like the first 1(i like the first 1 better personally)u might still like this 1.

Summary: Excellent!! Bigger than jebuzz!
Review: You can see that Bruce started coming into his style as a smart alec hero in this movie. The Evil Dead tilogy is the king of all B movies hands down! If you like the movies, check out Bruce's book "If Chins Could Kill, The Confessions of a B Movie Actor". It has plenty of Evil Dead facts and trivia.

Summary: Bruce Almighty!
Review: Bruce Campbell rules.

If you crave good times, you can't go wrong with Evil Dead 2. It's funny, it's gory, it's violent, it's silly, it's witty, it's clever, it's got snazzy one-liners... oh, it's just Evil Dead 2.

Sam Raimi created what is quite possibly the greatest sequel to a horror film since Dawn of the Dead. This is a masterpiece of critical (and hilarious) madness. An orgy of slaughter, sawed-off shotguns, chainsaws, axes, hacked-off limbs, h0rny trees, laughing furniture, decapitated girlfriends, ravenous demons, grizzly decay, green/black/blue blood, demonic possession, blood-flooding, slow descent into insanity and other delightful things.

Evil Dead 2 is pure brilliance. And one hell of a DVD.

Summary: Groovy
Review: For a lot of fans, this is the pinnacle of the "Evil Dead" series, mainly because it strikes a balance between the shocking gore of the first film and the more humorous antics of the third ("Army of Darkness"). "Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn" has its righful share of zombies, decapitation, screaming and buckets o' blood, but in the end it comes across more as funny than horrifying. In between the killings are cheesy lines, slapstick comedy and a general feeling that the whole thing is way too preposterous to be taken seriously. Although filmed on a relatively low budget, the look of this movie is convincing and enhanced by director Sam Raimi's inspired camera work. A must-see movie for anyone who enjoys a little humor with their horror.

Summary: I own it, and so should you
Review: gory, scary and funny. Not too many movies can pull that off. As a matter of fact, there has been alot of failed attempts at horror comedy, I think this succeeded!! The first time I seen this I was laughing so hard I couldnt stop. Although, it isnt non stop laughter, so dont get me wrong. If your new to the horror catagory of your video store, grab this, and hellraiser, and some popcorn, thats about all you need
