Summary: "Scream 2" a great follow-up!
Review: Two years after the murder spree in "Scream", survivors Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy) are in a midwestern college when "Stab" is released - a movie about the killings in the first film. This sets in motion a copycat killer who sets his sights on Sidney. Back on hand are obnoxious tabloid reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and former police officer Dewey Riley (David Arquette) who wants to protect Sidney. Film pokes fun at itself - "Sequels suck" says one character. But what's really a pleasant surprise is that while this is essentially a repeat of the first film, it's nonetheless a well crafted thriller that keeps you guessing.

Summary: The Second Chapter!
Review: Away at college, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) thought she'd finally put the schocking murders that shattered her life behind her...until a copycat killer begins acting out a real-life sequel! Now, as highly eerily repeats itself, ambitious reporter Gale Weathers (Couteney Cox) and other Scream survivors find themselves trapped in a terrifying clever plotline where no one is safe!

Summary: Almost as good as the first
Review: Scream 2, I'd have to say, is about as good as the original. They've come up with some interesting new ways for the characters to be killed, which makes it more fun, and some new jokes, for more laughs. But what's missing this time is the suspense. Another disappointment was the ending (climax), which is actually more [unintentionally] funny than scary. Despite these few flaws, Scream 2 is still cool and so is the DVD!

Summary: Splendidly re-watchable
Review: Scream 2

Score: 80/100

Scream 2 didn't live up to the standards of its predecessor, unfortunately. But, hey, with a classical progenitor like Scream itself, you can't really expect a sequel to over-come a movie, which scored 98/100. We could see the sequel coming after Scream's ending, but what we didn't know is that it would be this good. Some sequels just go down like a sinking ship, but this one in particular keeps itself afloat excellently.

Two years after the terrifying events that occurred in Woodsboro, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is now attending Windsor College in Cincinnati with long time friend Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy). Meanwhile, Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) best selling book on Sidney's life has now been made into a major motion picture. When two college students are killed in a theatre while watching the new film "Stab," Sidney knows deep down that history is for sure repeating itself again. Gale Weathers is present around the college reporting on the latest gruesome details that her movie has sparked. Dewey (David Arquette) comes to visit Sidney after he hears the news also. No one believes the murders were in any way connected to Woodsboro, until more students around the campus are found dead. Gale and Dewey investigate and find that someone is trying to recreate Woodsboro. Sidney is no rookie when it comes to surviving a killer but someone wiser is on campus to show her some good old fashion revenge.

Scream 2 is one hell of a sequel, it's able to mix comedy, mystery, horror and plenty of thrills just as the first one did, and even though, as I said before, it isn't up to the same standards as Scream, it still has the same level of intrigue in the plotline, and the gruesome killings will leave you speechless with shock. There's an even more star-studded cast in the sequel than in the first film, Neve Campbell, Jamie Kennedy (who is given a lot more to do this time in a memorable role as film geek Randy), Courteney Cox and David Arquette return, but much of the talent comes from actors like Jerry O'Connell and Liev Schreiber, Connell plays Sidney's new love interest swiftly and with style, and Schreiber is fantastic as main suspect Cotton Weary, who has got himself out of jail after been wrongly accused of murdering Sidney's mother.

Lots of chills and hardly any spills, Scream 2 is an awesome and continuously watchable sequel, highly recommended to people like me, who absolutely loved the first film. You'll feel the same way about it's sequel, guaranteed.

Summary: The Second Greatest Movie Ever Made!!!
Review: Scream 2 is an amazing sequel and is (seriously) just as original and scary as Scream 1 . It takes place two years after the original and Sidney Prescott is at Windsor college. Just as she had finally put her past behind her, someone begins killing off her friends one by one and once again everyone is a target and everyone is a suspect! I must say that Scream 2 continues the tradition Scream set by killing off two of the bigger names in the first ten minutes and that this opening sequence was far scarier than Drew Barrymore's scene which was scary enough! It takes place in a movie theater where a couple goes to see Stab - a book written by Gale Weathers about the events in Scream 1 that has been turned into a movie. You will never ever feel safe going to the bathroom at a movie theater again is all I will say! Liev Schrieber, who had a cameo in Scream 1 as the man accused of murdering Sidney's mom - Cotton Weary, is back and has a much bigger role. All the characters that survived the Woodsboro events are back as well. And the tongue in cheek references that Scream made about horror movies are continued as Scream 2 mocks horror movie sequels. The laughs aren't there as much in Scream 2 due to Matthew Lillard and Rose McGowan being gone, but there are many funny moments in this film... I thought Scream had the perfect balance of horror and comedy, but Scream 2 is alot darker and far scarier. The killer (or killers) is far more sadistic and crazy and the death scenes are very inventive and scary as hell. The blood and gore is still there as Scream 1 was drenched in blood, so is Scream 2. And I believe that the end of this movie is fine and I was not dissapointed at all. I saw this movie 9 times at the theater. Each time was good. The dvd for this movie sucks though. Such a let down for such a great movie, but there is a ULTIMATE SCREAM COLLECTOR DVD BOXSET that has a new Scream 2 in it that has a ton of features that is not sold seperately. True die hard SCREAM fans like myself would buy it just for that. But I do recommend Scream 2 to anyone that enjoys a good, classy, scary movie. You should want to see it just to actually witness a horror movie sequel that not only doesn't suck, but is just as good as the original which was a classic. Scream 2 is also a classic.....
