Summary: This Video Is Kind Of BORING!
Review: I only hate the original Dracula vHS because of the ending. In the end, Dracula died in the sun because he didn't hide in his coffin quickly. He even forgot to shut his coffin lid.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great.
Review: Bela Lugosi is unsurpassed even today! Christopher Lee's performance is downright bad compared to this! Dracula (Bela Lugosi) goes to England, searching for a bride.

Review: I tell you if you don't like the old time movies then this it's for you. I love this film so awesome. M y husband grew up with these movies. he just loves them too. he told me these are the best. I did't grow up with them but I watch them like I did. the whole family come over to watch them. it's our monstertime halloween.

Summary: nice, new soundtrack
Review: This movie may be a little cheesy, but the new soundtrack by Philip Glass gives it a more 'classic American' and 'romantic' veneer. In fact, the new music gives some scenes an almost entirely new meaning (i.e., Dracula-as-aged-seductor instead of Dracula-as-creepy-ghoul).

Summary: Just Plain Excellent
Review: Navigation through the disc is trying, however well worth it for the content. I purchased this for the Phillip Glass soundtrack but also the spanish version filmed on the same set is priceless for those who love this movie. The grey tones were exceptional.

Summary: Classic Brought to Life
Review: I'm not about to describe this film and it's plot, as everyone is familiar with the story of Count Dracula. I'll concentrate rather on the disk itself, which anyone with more than a passing interest in old horror flicks will appreciate.
Besides having a nice transfer of the original classic, the spanish language production is here as well, and is a real find. Filmed on the same sets as the Bela Lugosi version, it was filmed with an entirely spanish-speaking cast, as opposed to the subtitles and dubbing that are so often used when transfering a film to a different language. But the differences don't stop there. The atmosphere, emotion, and erotic inference are all hightened here, making this a very pleasant suprise. Subtitles can be switched on for those (such as myself) who aren't literate in Spanish. Highly recommended!

Summary: Dracula
Review: Now this is neat action. Dracula bites people, looks funny when he comes out of his coffin as if he's missing an arm, and his rider for Renfield is cool. I keep wondering if that rat got eaten by one of the vampires. I think that night was definitely the coolest part. Renfield also laughed funny, like he-he-he-he-he-he. The Vesta part is werid because the people steering the wheel are so fast, and the Vesta was going to fall down at one point. Definitely recommended for vampire fans (or vampires) who want a movie with lots of action. I also intend to be a vampire for Halloween, for your interest.

Summary: Lugosi is as good as Schreck and Kinski!
Review: Bela Lugosi is amazing in his treatment and performance as Dracula in Dracula VHS ~ Bela Lugosi. In fact, he is right up there with two other superb actors who have also had the challenge of playing this insidious count, e.g., Max Schreck and Kinski (I can not for the life of me remember his first name). He becomes the role of Dracula and one never doubts his conviction not resolve. I would definetely reccomend seeing/owning this movie since it is a classic that will be seen for all time forseeable.

Summary: BELA LUGOSI'S BEST PROFORMANCE!
Review: Although there have been numerous screen versions of Bram Stoker's classic vampire tale, none is more enduring than this 1931 original.Towering ominously amoung the shadows of the Carpathian Mountains,Castle Dracula strikes fear in the heart and souls of whole of Transylvania.Bela Lugosi, starring as the world's most popular vampire Count Vlad Dracula, together with Director Tod Browning, create the film's errie, scary, and chilling mood.Dracula remains a masterpiece not only of genre, but for all time. With Helen Chandler as the beautiful Mina Murray and Bela Lugosi as Dracula this is a film you should really stick your teeth into. Not Rated
