Summary: The independant film of all time.
Review: Halloween is excellent. I love this movie and all it's sequals, but this one is the best. Jam-packed with kinky sex and riveting suspense, this pleases fans of the genre.

Summary: Awsome.
Review: This movie has to be 1 of the scariest movies I ever saw

Summary: Ultimate
Review: Carpenter's best, and horror's best, this classic chiller displays no gore whatsoever and depends on sheer thrills to frighten. Though we never understand why Michael sets his sights on Curtis and pals until the sequel, it still frightens the hell out of you and deep down, you know there is a purpose for his stalking these teenaged babysitters. Pleasance is wonderful in his most memorable role as Michael's doctor, on the search for Michael. Carpenter's music is absolutely eerie in its own sense, and Curtis, Loomis, and Soles give memorable performances.

Summary: One-of-a-kind Quality Release
Review: Some time ago Anchor Bay released a DVD version of"Halloween" that had so many visual and audio faults thatthey decided to go all out on a completely redone version. They hired some of the best people in the business to provide a THX certified, 16x9 widescreen, 5.1 Dolby Digital version. Over the course of their development, they found "a new 35mm wetgate interpositive (struck from the original camera negative)," and they used the original 16-Track movie studio master for the audio portion. In every case they used the best original material to recreate the original movie version as well as a second disk containing the televised version (12 minutes of additional scenes). Anchor Bay spent a great deal of time, money, and trouble to insure that this new digital version met the standards required for THX certification and professional approval. Every indication points to this limited edition two disk set as a definitive quality release.

Summary: The greatest horror movie in history
Review: Halloween made me the horror movie fan that I am today. Spawning six sequels, this movie started a whole new generation on true horror movies. Jamie Lee Curtis began her career with this movie. Veteran actor Donald Pleasence was only on the set for a week to create the most memorable character in horror movie history, Dr. Sam Loomis. Nick Castle played "The Shape" Michael Myers and wound up as the director of movies such as Major Payne and Dennis the Menace. Halloween was obviously too brilliant to stop at just one release. It not only created careers for some of its stars but it still sends chills down spines of millions as it will never ever be forgotten.

Summary: Mike Myers best movie until Austin Powers
Review: This is one of the all-time greatest thrillers. John Carpenter's low-budget masterpiece (he even did the great music) is to Halloween what watching the Grinch is to Christmas. This isn't just one of the best in its genre; it's one of the best movies period. Must own!

Summary: This, "Psycho" and "Repulsion" are the best horror films.
Review: I would have to say that this is one of the best horror films to date. Plenty of scares and you feel it more than you see it. Be prepared to get paranoid!

The only "sequel" is Halloween H20. All of the others are pointless and explicitly bloody.

Enjoy.

Summary: halloween rules
Review: I think that halloween is a true thriller and it can scare even the most "manly" men it is a great movie. I saw it at a friends house and on the way home I was scared around every corner. Then I had nightmares for about a week so that proves how good that movie is. After I saw that one I was in for more so I have seen most of them and I am still waiting to see them all.
