Summary: Two words: "Buy It"
Review: This has to be my best dvd purshase ever, I have only ever seen one of the films before, now I have seen them all and I think it's great, the remastering is great with a very good anamorphic print and a very good DD 5.1 soundtrack. It's also jam packed with extras, well done New Line.

Summary: GOOD CONCEPT BUT UNFILMABLE
Review: THE CONCEPT IN THE FREDDY KRUEGER FILMS IS COOL, A PSYCHOTIC KILLER THAT ENTERS THE DREAMS OF HIS VICTIMS IS ONE OF THE COOLEST AND MOST FRIGHTENING HORROR CONCEPTS I HAVE EVER HEARD. IT IS SO UNIMAGINABLY SCARY THAT IT IS HORROR GENIUS. BUT WHAT YOU SEE ON SCREEN IS REALLY STUPID. FREDDY IS COOL, AND FUNNY, AND ULTIMATELY WHAT GIVES THE FILM ITS TWO STARS BUT THE WHOLE TEEN SLASHER MEDIUM IS WHAT KILLED THESE MOVIES. IF YOUR 12 AND ITS 2:OO AM ON A SUNDAY THESE ARE THE GREATEST FILMS EVER MADE. BUT IF YOU'RE A SERIOUS MOVIE FAN THESE ARE A WASTE OF TIME.

Summary: worth it
Review: As everyone knows, the Nightmare on Elm St. saga has continued to thrill us all. Now on DVD, it's crystal clear and the sound is beautiful. One thing though, don't get your hopes up for the 3D ending on Final Nightmare. The transfer was horrible. I was one that thought that everyone else's standards were too high and I got my hopes up for this grand show, but I was let down. The movies are classics. Anyway you slice it, especially in wide screen. Get this collection, play with the interactive portion of the 8th disk. And have fun.

Summary: Excellent Set -A Must Have for Freddy Fans
Review: This DVD Set is a must have for any Freddy fan...Regardless of what you think of some of the movies the collection wouldnt be complete without All of the Nightmare movies. As a special bonus the Eigth disc can keep you entertained for hours going through the Labyrinth. The only disapointing aspect I found was on the Final Nightmare disc there is a audio / video delay most of the way through which distracts and ruins the quality..No doubt as a result of the remixing..Despite this "little" fault a Must Have...

Summary: The Collection Of My (Nightmares) Dreams
Review: YOU HAVE TO GET THIS SERIES!!! As soon as I knew the "A Nightmare On Elm Street Collection" was available, I had to have it. These films are classic 80s horror. Freedy Kruger is a horror icon and legend. I love all thes movies (even the bad ones). True they might not win any awards or critical acclaim but they have entertained a generation of horror fans for over a decade and continue to do so. It is horror at it's purist and most entertaining, they are just so dam fun to watch. I'll admit I get more of a laugh than a shock from these films. I'll also admit you have to have a sick warped sence of humour to find it funny, but thats exactly what I have and I'm proud of it!!! I have seen these films countless times and was so excited to hear of their DVD release! I had to have them, and I don't even have a DVD player yet!!! (hey I told you I was sick). My favourite of the series would have to be the original, followed by Part 3: Dream Warriors, then Part 4:Dream Child, Parts 5 and 6 are on even par for me 6 was better but I love Alice (Lisa Wilcox) so 5 wins out, then Part 6: Freddies Dead, Part 2:Freddies Revenge comes in last. Yes I know what your thinking "What about the new nightmare" Well I liked that movie too (although classic Freddy would have kicked the try hard 90s Freddy's ass) I don't really consider it part of the Elm Street series but I also love Nancy (Heather Langencamp) so if I had to rate it with the others it would be somewhere between 5 and 6.

Summary: Best Horror Films Next to the 4 Phantasms
Review: What an idea! Freddy is way scarier than Jason and Micheal Myers put together. The best movies are(in order)3,1,7,4,6,5,2 two is the worst, while watching this series leave 2 out until you watch them all.

Summary: I AM BREATHLESS!
Review: First I am really amazed by the quality of remastered digital picture and sound. My voodoo3 3000 video card and sound blaster live card make things even better. I even don't want to watch these DVDs all in one night not knowing what to to do next several days!!!

Summary: A great set, just one thing
Review: This is a great set, very well put together, just one warning, the FINAL NIGHTMARE disc appears to be edited, removing the final part when they actually kill Freddy using the shelters 'arsenal', maybe this was done in favor of the 3-D feature, but still Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is incomplete.
